Food wasn't bad and our waiter was nice but the table became somewhat messy as the meal progressed and wasn't cleaned up properly. We also told them we were celebrating a special occasion and got no recognition of that as other places do with a nice flourish. Not terrible but we had to drive a bit to get here and will not return. Probably a really good place to frequent if it is in your neighborhood.
The lobster ravioli was wonderful. The service was perfect.
THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD EVER!! AWESOME WINE LIST AND THE SERVICE WAS TOP SHELF!
Great food as always!
Nonna never disappoints. We had 3 different pasta dishes. All were amazing. We had 2 desserts. Same. Everything is so fresh and original. Love the fresh bread. The aranccini appetizer also wonderful. Just a great place for a special occasion. Low key and elegant.
The food was fabulous and everyone there was so friendly. I especially loved the bartender Christy. It's a little small, so I'd recommend reservations. We actually went back 2 nights later because we can walk and it's really cute and delicious.
One of my favorite Italian restaurants. The clam pie and lobster ravioli never fails. Everything else is also amazing. Top notch service and attention to details.
We greatly enjoyed our meal at Nonna's. The staff was exceptional. Very warm and attentive. We felt genuinely welcome. The noise level was a bit higher than we prefer but not unpleasant.Everything we had was unique and tasty. I had the Quail in porchetta with Elis Stansel's rice, shiitakes, sweet corn, hot & sweet peppers. The quail was largely deboned with just the leg bone in place as best I could tell. First time I have had quail and I think there were three breasts and three legs but not sure. There was enough quail to be filling and the accompaniments were very tasty. Great flavor. My wife had the Gulf Red Snapper with Cherry Tomato Salmoriglio & alubia bianca beans which she enjoyed. The Gulf shrimp with pepper crema, cherry tomatoes, marinated squash and soft herbs and Sformato of summer squash with slow roasted tesa, arugula & black cherry tomatoes were equally good.
We left feeling we had a very special meal and will return.
I think the wine is way overpriced. The food was good not exceptional, the menu was not amazing. I had high expectations and came away meh.
The menu changes daily. Everything that we had was absolutely delicious. I look forward to going again and again to try everything I can on the menu. Everything tasted extremely fresh. The wait staff is knowledgeable on food and wine pairings and it's fun to see how passionate they are about the menus. Great spot!
We had an amazing dining experience with David. We let him take the lead on ordering whatever starters and flavors of choice with the exception on pork and Cilantro which we do not eat. Each dish was cooked to perfection. Fresh baked pita bread with olives were served with the drinks. We were served the squash blossoms first, which were light and crisp with ricotta cheese inside and parsley shaved topping. The rigatoni has a burst of chicken broth flavor with each bite and the fresh little halved tomatoes were the perfect pop that we almost asked for more on the side as we wanted them in each bite! The lasagniette was delicate and savory, a perfect combination without overfilling. We were happily surprised when the bill came as it was such an amazing meal for the cost. The flavors were better than some 1 Star Michelin restaurants we have been to. We will be coming back much more often!
Everything was wonderful, EXCEPT the hostess must have been new because was was determined, and I mean bent on seating someone RIGHT next (less than a foot away) to us even though the restaurant had plenty of seating. VERY irritating.
Amazing. Like always!
If you're looking for a huge hunk of overly cheesy lasagna for ten bucks please go elsewhere. This is the real deal. Delicate handmade pastas in light sauces, fantastic white clam pie, lobster ravioli just to mention a few. We order as many mid sized pastas as we can eat and share them, as each one is special.
Not inexpensive but totally worth the price. Again, if your game is Maggianos or Olive Garden I would stay away. The best real Italian in DFW.
usually a great experience. this time the food disappointed. will try again after restaurant week.
Went for restaurant week. All appetizers and entrees were great. Down from 5 to 4 because desserts (3 different ones) were just okay. Service could have been better too. Waited a while to get drink refills twice. Brought wrong drink once. Stuff like that.
This is an absolutely superb restaurant. The service is terrific and the food OUTSTANDING!!!
Love the squash blossoms and the lobster ravioli!!!
Outstanding, as usual! Thank you!
Overall, a very satisfying Restaurant Week experience.
The special menu has a good selection. Really appreciate the creativity on the menu offering and on the plating. Special call out these two dishes:
1. Baugh Farm peaches with gorgonzola crema, pecans, red endive and balsamic - stunning presentation and refreshing taste, highly recommended for the summer time.
2. Gulf Snapper with salsa cruda of heirloom & cherry tomatoes, EVOO, red wine vinegar, red onion & basil - not only it is beautiful to look at, but also the fish was cooked to perfection: crisp skin and tender, moist meat.
Wonderful creative delicious food with warm attentive service.
Too hard to compliment when there’s so much to compliment for, everything was extraordinary. Only thing I would like is a little more enhanced ambiance
Excellent restaurant week experience.
Best Italian meal in Dallas!
Food was excellent - service seemed a little slow at first though, even though the restaurant was only half full. No one approached our table for 10 minutes after we were seated. Picked up after that. Always difficult to get an open table reservation for normal evening hours even though it wasn't full as we left. Perhaps might be better to call direct.
Such a perfect balance between comfort food and innovative twists on familiar dishes. We loved the hints on summer in the menu - peaches, corn, watermelon. What a treat!
I usually loathe the early dining hour of 5:30 but the wait staff made it fun this time.
I have NEVER had a bad meal at Nonna's; the wait staff is excellent --- especially Sergio; and, I absolutely love going to Nonna's. It is a fun, environment and even the patrons are easy to talk to.
Extraordinarily good food, imaginatively prepared.
I took my boyfriend here for our weekly Wednesday date and we had the most wonderful experience all around! Our waiter was absolutely phenomenal and easily accommodated my dietary restrictions while still allowing us to order what we really wanted. I am so so appreciative of that. I brought my boyfriend to Sachet previously, also part of the same restaurant group, and he loved it just as much. The staff could not be friendlier at Nonna and the place is very unassuming being in a strip mall. I’ve never had a bad meal here and can’t wait to return again!
Great great great !
The food is Italian but not traditional, and is more Southern Italian style, than Northern, which is my preference. The menu is hard to read, because the lighting is very minimal, and everything on menu is in fine print. The gourmet chef touches may be appealing to some, but not when your looking for good tasting quality Italian food, a little more traditional dishes!
Great as always! Best in Dallas!
The food and service were amazing!
Among the best Italian in Texas. We had great, friendly, and attentive service. The food was amazing as usual. Summer flavors really stood out, led by squash, but all around were well balanced. They make great thin crust pizzas which we always use as appetizers. Chicken Saltimboco was solid. Never been disappointed in one of their salads — they’re small but pack flavor with combinations of authentic Italian and Texan flare in the components.
Wonderful dinner - the best experience we have had in years!!
We will be going there again - hopefully regularly!
Nonna is one of the best Italian food restaurants in the Dallas area. Locally sourced fresh food that never disappoints!
We typically try a new restaurant for date night. This was our first visit to Nonna, but we will definitely break tradition and return to Nonna. Atmosphere was cozy and relaxed (although a bit dark causing mild difficulty reading menu). We had the sausage and peppers pizza, lobster ravioli and the molten chocolate cake with coffee gelato. ALL VERY GOOD but the coffee gelato I will be dreaming about until our next visit.
hands down, the best Italian restaurant in the Metroplex
