Nobu - London
With its own street entrance on Old Park Lane, the 150 cover restaurant includes a separate sushi bar and enjoys commanding views across Hyde Park through full-height windows. Designed with simple elegance by United Designers, the interiors make subtle use of light woods and natural stone to reflect the diverse influences of Nobu's cuisine, incorporating the purity and quality materials inherent of traditional Japanese design.
Visited to celebrate my birthday, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. Food was lovely and ambience was very relaxed despite this being a restaurant which is frequented by the very wealthy.
The food here is outstanding, our waiter made our evening by recommending what we should order.
One of my favorite restaurant, this was my third time here, and I can’t wait until next time. Food is amazing, beverage is fresh and tasty and the service is outstanding.
If there one thing to put my finger on it must be that it is very loud when there is a lot of people, but that quickly fades away with the thought of the total experience you get here.
I highly recommend this to everyone!
Amazing service, amazing food and great customer experience!!!!
We had a lovely dinner at the Nobu on Park Lane in London. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, the food came out in a timely manner and was delicious too!
Outstanding food and excellent service as always. Decor a bit tired after 20 years...time for a revamp!
Had very much the flavour of yesterday's lunch at yesterdays restaurant. We both had the Bento box where the emphasis seemed to be on quantity rather than quality.
service was sloppy and lacking in atmosphere. it now seems to be a destination for tourists and not London people. V disappointed. Many years back we would go frequently to Nobu , not too sure we would rush back.
Buddakan in NYC has been our favorite until finding Nobu! Absolutely delicious. Great bar and wine menu. The dishes are dream worthy! A wonderful evening.
The ambience was a complete let down. When spending £100+ per head you expect some charm. It is dated and did not even have the spotlights centred on the tables. It lacked finesse. Some of the food was exceptional but way overpriced.
Far from special and been to better and more upbeat places. Won’t return.
Sensational
Best Japanese food
Food quality is not what it used to be. Also, the restaurant decor is past due a refresh. Overall it feels as if the effort is generally lacking.
My favourite restaurant ever. The wagyu steak is 10/10!!
Amazing venue and service. You would be crazy to miss this experience.
We have been to Nobu many times and have always found it excellent - service is usually quick, efficient and friendly. Our waitress this time was not so good. It took a long time for our order to be taken, and she seemed more keen to take our wine order. We had to ask more than once for our water glasses to be filled and overall she was borderline rude. She was also pushy and seemed to want us to hurry up. We understand completely about time limits, but if she hadn’t kept us waiting for over twenty minutes before taking our order, we would have been there less time. Luckily we wanted puddings, as she brought the dessert menus immediately after our plates had been cleared. One of our party went to the loo and while she was away the waitress came back to get our order. I said we were waiting for our guest so she went away, looking quite put out. Our guest came back from the Ladies and, before she had even taken her seat, the waitress came back to demand our order. As our guest hadn’t had a chance to really look at the menu, she was quite flustered and had to rush to make a decision.
The food was, as always, superb and the general atmosphere was it’s usual vibrant, noisy self. Unfortunately the service was a real let down. We have had this waitress before and found her abrasive, pushy and unhelpful - we had hoped she was just having a bad day - sadly she was even worse this time. It’s a shame, as it did have an effect on what was otherwise a lovely evening.
our friends are much older than this crowd. less money too.
Very good quality food, a bit overpriced.
Service - attentive. Maybe at times too much? Felt a bit rushed. Too much of the 'yes chef' type shouting...
This was a great place 20 years ago. Now is overpriced and food is but even good. This was our last visit. Not coming back
Great service - had huge amounts of food - around 9 courses each and loved each and every one.
As ever, an amazing meal. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is buzzing.
Way too expensive
Food never fails to impress specially Nobu park lane
Shouldn’t charge for small things such as Inside our roll x normal roll 2£ just not elegant ...
We had the Park Lane mixed meal - absolutely fantastic. Would definitely have again
Sons birthday
We hade a weekend in London with out 2 daughters
We wanted a special dinner which we really got
The food and service was amazing , we did the 2 tasting menus with wine pairing for me and my wife and our waitress helped guide our daughters to find something ( not spicy) that they liked , which they really did.
Can highly recommend Nobu , it’s and amazing restaurant with fantastic food and amazing staff that really take care of you and your group
Fabulous food and service, great and interesting menu, the only downside would be the bathroom facilities as we expected them to be nicer for such a lovely restaurant.
Decent food which is grossly overpriced. The venue is bang average. The layout has changed and there are far too many tables. A consequence of so many people being present meant that it was very noisy and you struggle to have a normal conversation without having to raise your voice.
Our server was brilliant. A really nice guy who clearly enjoys his job and makes the effort to they to ensure a pleasant experience.
In short there are much better dining experiences for similar or lower cost. NOBU is all about the name rather than the dining experience. £415 for a meal for two is way over the top for what was provided.
Food amazing. Decor needs updating.
Although we love the food , the ambiance in the Park Lane Nobu is awful , like a canteen .Too noisy , tables too close together & noisy neighbours intrude on your space . Waiters struggleto get through to serve , banged against my husbands back constantly . We have visited many Nobu' s , LA , Dubai this has the worst atmosphere & accoustics . ROKO will be our choice from now on .
Dining experience at Nobu was absolutely amazing. Will definitely go back again
Beef was tough, beef quality was poor and lacked flavor
Sushi wasn’t fresh
Service was great
Overpriced for the quality of the food
Absolutely loved everything about Nobu , it was expensive but worth every penny , food was delicious and everyone was so well educated about the dishes and our waiter gave excellent recommendations. We were there for several hours and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
Wow this was absolutely amazing. Everything was fantastic. We’ll be back
We went for the set lunch menu . Great selection to chose from. The puddings were unavailable & substituted with a scoop of ice cream which was disappointed. We were slightly tucked away again a little disappointing as I had booked a long way in advance .
One of the worst experience I ve had at a nobu. One of my favorite restaurants and this location was horrible service .. I was very much disappointed
Been to the Nobu on Berkeley Street, thought I’d try the one on Old Park Lane. Restaurant interior looked very tired, could do with renovation to bring it to 2019. Service was non-existent with first waitress. Seemed really busy had to follow up twice to get attention. We had a second waitress who was much better. Food was good to be fair but there are so many good Japanese restaurants in London now that I felt the overall experience was not worth the price I paid. Would not go again.
Always an excellent time with good service, excellent food and cocktails, and a lot of fun. The decor is a little shabbier than its newer counterparts- it could do with a refurb or at least refresh, but that doesn’t ultimately take away from the excellent times to be had at Nobu Park Lane! It is expensive, but you know that when you go.
Wonderful - great place for a group - there were 9 of us as sharing dishes are great.
Host Pedro was fantastic re choices - having to save up for next visit as wine very expensive.
Food delicious !!!
Impromptu afternoon, evening in London culminated with casual dinner at Nobu Old Park Lane.
We arrived just before opening, however no concerns, they happily provided us drinks from the bar and still gave us a warm welcome.
It surprised us all that shortly after we sat at our table virtually the whole restaurant filled up, yet at no time, other than the bubbling atmosphere, we hardly noticed the number of people that had arrived.
We had two great people looking after us, extremely informative about the dishes and great recommendations on what to choose and also the best way to eat it!
We go to many top restaurants around the world, but currently for food, atmosphere and service NOBU Old Park lane is at the top of our list.
The service was excellent the food was wonderful. Highly recommend it to anyone for a lovely night out.
