Great. Food was fresh and delicious as it always is.
Fab service, wonderful food. Had a great night.
I've been to Nobu in London several times now. And other places. For the first time I was not entirely happy with the food. Something has happened since last autumn. The WOW factor was missing this time. Small, exclusive tacos had less taste, the beef wasn't really tender and some other minor issues.
I hope they find a way back to previous standards!
If I could give zero stars I would.
Took ages to revive drinks and starters.
Soup - Luke warm and no spoon to eat it with.
Tacos - just plonked down in front of us. Server did not know which ones were crab, which were lobster.
These are not cheap and were completely tasteless. No difference between them. Taco just broke into pieces and was very dry.
Waited over and hour for main, but were brought several dishes that weren’t ours!
Asked for bill as we just wanted to leave.
Then the Manager tried to charge us for mains that never arrived.
Wine was £68 for the bottle - again not cheap. We left half of this as we left.
The Manager offered little in the way of apology.
A poor evening particularly as it was our wedding anniversary.
Amazing dinner! Wonderful staff ! Memorable anniversary :)
We really liked our dinner, and the food was very good!
Good food with an attentive waiter.
We’ve loved Nobu for 20 years.
Simply the best sushi in London.
Never disappointed. Enjoyed every course and accompanying wine.
Too noisy, a factory, not a restaurant, waiter didn't take note of the small adjustments we asked to our plates, he tried his best but had way too many tables to serve
having a reference point at Nobu in NY, this location was way too busy, rushed, not enough service attention , noisy; it may not be fair, but in some sense resembled a fast food place
Great food and great atmosphere the portions aren’t to bad either it can be pricey so if your going with or taking somebody have at least £160 plus on you iv been there a couple times and will be going agin
Fantastic service from the moment we arrived. I had asked for a quiet table and was suitably looked after despite it clearly being very busy. Food quality and speed of service excellent.
Best Japanese experience outside of Japan - definitely recommend going.
Had a lovely meal with friends. The service could’ve been a little bit better. Apart from that, it’s a great place to enjoy a meal x
Terrible, snobby service!!
Never again in London!!
I go to Nobu as my daughter like it! I fond once again to be in a very noisy restaurant with average food. Very small portions for prices charged. We had a bill of £600 for four with very little alcohol. There are so many nice Japanese restaurants in London with much better food and not a pricy. I just have to after my daughters away form the hype!
Good restaurant would visit again
I was shocked with the quality of food. Not sure if this is due to the recent change as I have been there before.
One example was the veal which was extremely gamey, I couldn’t take a bite without tasting the meat, lacked flavour/seasoning.
I chose the valentines set menu, which was loaded with fish, I think I’ve had enough fish for the year!
My wife and I went to the original Nobu in Old Park Lane In London for Valentines Night a couple of days ago and enjoyed a pretty legendary dinner. Great wine pairing. And a couple of spectacular dishes created for the occasion. Better than ever !
Nobu is The best!
So nice, everything was good at Nobu London
Great place to spend Valentines, only downside was waiting 1 hour for my first course! Made up for it with free bubbles and a free dish wasn’t the waitresses fault but a faulty printer in the kitchen!
Would go again...
Great food, but not every dish was amazing. In fact only a couple of dishes were extraordinary and the rest were ok. The deserts were somewhat disappointing. Excellent service though!
Had a great time. Nice lively atmosphere excellent food and service. The Peruvian steak was superb!
I spent £200 for a meal for two and we were both still hungry by the time we left. most of the food we had I could cook better at home and have done. The experience felt as if we had gone to a place of past glory and we were paying for a reputation of good food long gone. I've been before years ago and really enjoyed it, but this time all the things that made that experience good are no more, good food, good vibes an interesting experience all gone, the only thing still there were the high prices.....
Sadly went for a b'day treat and was highly disappointed. Decor was basic, tables were so close together you can hear the other person chewing their food. Food was tasty but definitely over priced especially for the quantity given.
The food was outstanding, especially the Ototo nigiri and Uni nigiri. The service was overall good, but it can be quicker.
Good food. Problem with the ambiance / noise level.
Our waiter Emiliano was the best one I had for a very long time. Friendly, professional, funny, extremely knowledgeable, simply the best and I was able to speak to him in Italian. He was as good as the food!
Excellent, service top. Ça manque par contre d’ambiance
Deco simplissime. Dommage car ce n’est pas en accord avec la cuisine excellente
It just really doesn’t get any better and/or more consistent than this ...
We came here to celebrate my daughters 21st Birthday, and it was a delight. Not only was the food excellent (as it is at every Nobu restaurant around the world), the staff could not have been kinder or better to us.
They brought out a desert that the pastry chef had written a personalized birthday greeting to my daughter in chocolate along the perimeter of the plate !!!
We are not high rollers , nor do we come to Nobu for anything other than special occasions ...didn’t matter, they did it anyway !
Service with a smile and beyond the call of duty ...
Highly highly recommend!!!
Incredible all around !
It used to be that going to Nobu was a supreme treat and and spiritual experience. Some of the classic dishes are still great (yellowtail & jalapeno, popcorn shrimp + 3 sauces, anticucho...), but it all feels spent and not particularly fresh. The sashimi/sushi plates were just plain and could have been from anywhere - there was no soul in the dish. The service was competent and although there are lots of staff rushing around, the daft process they have of 'zone & task marking' means you have to repeat to several folk to get things done, unless the 'right person' is there at the moment you need. Which then leads to the price and value... if they delivered at the same level as the leading pack (Sushisamba, Zuma, Umu...), it would be worth it. But they don't. And it isn't. The spirit has passed on...
Considering the price of the food and supposed reputation, we found Nobu very ordinary, food was good, but surroundings and overall feel was below the standard that we had expected beforehand considering it's reputation.
Although it's a very expensive restaurant, this is still a great place to go to enjoy superb food and service. One of our favourites.
The fantastic dinner, if you have lucky, you can see a celebrity in Nobu restaurant.
Still the best since 19 years ago 👍
Very noisy, food was ok, waiters were not very friendly and my husband and sons were stomach sick next day.
Had the omakase, food was excellent and service was outstanding. The discussion with the server regarding the meal could’ve been better and more information wouldn’t have hurt—ingredient sourcing and flavour blending. The waiting staff were excellent and I would 100% recommended Nobu.
Arrived for a 2.30 lunch reservation to be told we should order quickly as the kitchen was closing at 3.00. Place completely emptied out and the overall vibe was that we were an inconvenience to the wait staff who hovered around as if they wanted us leave so they could finish a shift. Ambience beyond a disappointment. Food was fine but as per the above we didn’t really enjoy the overall experience at all as we were made to feel like we shouldn’t be there at that time even though the restaurant takes reservations for these times. This restaurants reputation and pricing does not reflect our less than satisfactory experience at all.
