Nobu Ratings and Reviews
Very good to excellent food let down by average service.
When you are dining at restaurants of this calibre and price a certain level of service is expected and this was not really up to standard.
Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday and the test for me at this price point is did they make her feel special. I would say not really.
So wouldn’t recommend it for a special occasion.
But if you love Japanese food and you can lower your expectations on service then I would recommend it.
Such amazing food, beautiful atmosphere and views of the pool/hotels. The staff were amazing and catered to our every need and being Coeliac it isn't the easiest to eat out but there was plenty of options. Would definately go again and would definately recommend to others.
We came here for lunch on a Thursday. We had their $55 set menu. Which included katsu chicken with rice, miso soup, sushi, orange salad, confit salmon and prawn salad. Every component was delicious. But for $55 at Nobu, you expect more fancy food rather than dishes that you can get from an ordinary Japanese cafe. Wait staff were prompt and friendly. The restaurant itself is great, popular and very fancy. Dessert was not included in the set menu. Sesame seed ice cream sandwich was a highlight.
The service was absolutely amazing! We were moved to the seating we requested, our food came out very quick and tasted amazing! Would definitely recommend to every person to go and experience Nobu with a group or a loved one for a special occasion! Thank you for the beautiful experience, we can’t wait to be back!
The food was great.
The tables were cramped and pushed together like sardines.
The menu was confusing for Australians, didn't explain each plate properly and even worse for Japanese people to understand.
They offered us a table against a window that was facing west and I could not sit there as it was to hot and when I asked for a table change the staff were very reluctant to move us, I had to pressure the staff and asked 3 times for a better table, other people were sweating in these seats.
Service was friendly, attentive and informative by the majority of the staff we were in contact with, environment was interesting and comfortable however the food itself was average and when you take into account the prices it falls to below average unfortunately. It is a nice atmosphere for a date night just be aware that you will be paying highly and the food will be ok, not great, but ok.
Always enjoy my meals here. Service is excellent, particularly on the Thursday December 21st. Eddie was wonderful, helpful and friendly... Ashley (I think that's her name) greeted us warmly, remembering me from my previous dining experiences in September and Twice in November. Great to see an updated cocktail list..... I hope to see new items on the food menu in 2018
The food we received at Nobu was exceptional. The quality and freshness was fantastic & we enjoyed every dish.
The service on the other hand was pretty lacklustre. With a menu & pricing that Nobu has, we expected the level of service to match the food & sadly it didn't.
Having to repeatedly try to get our waitress's attention to place orders was a bit disappointing. For premium dining in similar price brackets, we would probably opt to go elsewhere next time.
I have visited Nobu many times for lunch, and this was my first time for the dinner bracket.
I was dissapointed with the way the waitress rushed through the entire menu telling us her reccomendations, waste of time when you cant remember what she said!
They for got about one of of plates, took 30 minutes to get a small bowl of cauliflower..
The food was amazing, just felt really let down with the service and value we received, as we all left quite hungry after spending over $500.
A wonderful day and meal. So love going to this place. Only negative was, we asked to have a round table for 4 and got told none available. however the whole time we had lunch there was one and it was not used. The Prawn and Vegetable Tempura was the best my Granddaughter had eaten at Japanese.
First time at Nobu for lunch. Perhaps it is getting very close to the Christmas season, the place was filled and too noisy for any conversation. The ambience did not meet expectation of a brand name restaurant. We each had a Bento box. The servings were ample although quality is nothing to shout about. I would not recommend the Premium choice as it wasn't very premium or, in my opinion, worth it. Previous experience at another similar restaurant in Perth serves better premium choice.
Staff could have been slightly more attentive. Five of us eating with four place settings I had to request chop sticks and later realised they did not bring a napkin. This requested flagging down a staff member twice. Returning to the table to see if we wanted any further food/drink was slow.
I have been to Nobu a few times for dinner and has always had good things to say about it. However, I took my cousin there for a birthday lunch and I was quite disappointed. My cousin ordered the spicy tuna dish and we had to get it remade as the tuna wasn’t fresh. We could tell the difference with the new one. As for the bento box, the only good thing was the miso cod, everything else felt far from authentic (like buttered vegetables on rice???).
