Nobu - Crown Perth Ratings and Reviews
We were seated next to the window where we had an amazing view of the pool area. We had two waiters looking after us intermittently who were very attentive. They explained the lunch options and gave us an idea of how many dishes we'd need to order. I had the tempura prawn maki roll and California maki roll. My mum ordered seafood and vegetable tendon. There was a mistake with my mum's dish so the chef prepared a fresh dish.We were not charged for that dish and given two desserts free of charge
Really not that impressed. Honestly thought I'd had better quality, flavour of sushi at an all you can eat near Reno airport. Not even being slightly rude about that. Highlight was the pork gyoza however again nothing that I can't produce at home without trying hard.
Desert was overly sweet. Didn't have cohesive flavours. Wrong quantities no balance.
Service was good but given by many different servers. I expect 1 or two at the most. Seated in the entrance thoroughfare under a loud speaker.
My wife and I had dinner at Nobu last night to celebrate our first anniversary, the staff at Nobu were attentive, helpful and eager to make our evening enjoyable and memorable. They even decorated our desert plate celebrating our anniversary!
Nobu delivered a memorable and rewarding experience, and although the prices are not for the feint of heart; you will certainly find value for your money. Their southern American take on traditional japanese cuisine is very noticeable and welcome!
What an amazing night! The food was so impressive and our personal favourites were the pork belly, the prawns in creamy spicy sauce and the perfect finish to our meal was the soba noodles. The service was impeccable, we had a young gentleman named Allan who was so informative and helpful on the dishes and recommendations. The ambience was filled with great energy from the starting traditional Japanese welcome "irashaimase". definitely returning soon.
The Nobu experience was very disappointing. It certainly did not feel 'Japanese'. The music was far too loud and western. The service was poor and in now way expressed the Japanese culture.
The table was jammed up against the wall.
Altogether I would not class this as a dining experience, but rather a few steps up from fast food.
Having been to Japan and experienced their service and food this restaurant was very disappointing. We will not repeat our visit.
Food and service were amazing. Wait staff were very attentive without being over bearing, and were very knowledgeable and well versed in recommendations.
Liked the variety of the menu. Liked the fact you could share everything, gave me chance to try many things.
Quality of food was exceptional.
Only downside was the price of wine. A lot of money for something not that great.
Tables in restaurant were probably a little close and impersonal. Felt like I was part of their conversation
Food was good but staff not so accommodating especially the head waiter. Booked our table a week prior to lunch and requested for a window table. Request denied and was placed near the front door. We were there early prior to 12pm and the entrance was not even opened, so we were first in the queue. All the window tables were not even occupied throughout our lunch which was nearly one and half hours. Reason given those window tables were booked months in advance! Poor excuse and disappointing!
My expectation wasn't too high as it was a lunch special but I wanted the Nobu experience at an affordable level for a special occasion. Oh my! I was blown away by the beautiful food..presentation, variety and quality at the price. The bubbles added a bonus...and then my husband received a birthday plate of sweetness! From the greeting at the door, we had a wonderful lunch experience...and will return for more of the watermelon and saucy deliciousness...
Food was overpriced and mixed seafood ceviche was completely overpowered by lemon dressing leaving only flavour of seafood. Sadly salt and pepper tempura squid was neither salty nor peppery. Wagu gyoza were delicious although wagu flavour completely overpowered the subtly of the dipping sauce and detracted from the delicacy of the wanton wrapper.
I may be stereotyping but when I think Japanese I look forward to the fresh taste of seafood with the chef letting the ingredients talk for themselves. Unfortunately for me, this is not what I got. The quality of the produce was fine. There was just too much added flavours to the food in the Bento that I had for lunch. If we were to venture here again, choosing off the a la carte menu rather than a bento would be the way to go.
The food and value was excellent, the service very good, however we had a table by the entrance which means that one person is on the outside on a through fare. My personal suggestions would be to loose the two tables that are close to the entrance. With a restaurant with such a high calibre as this to have guests sat next to the entrance seems not so classy. We were celebrating our anniversary, constant traffic behind ones back didnt promote the ambience :(
