Nido Bar & Pasta
all ways good, will go back any time, great great
Had an absolutely lovely waiter who knew just how often to check on the table. The food was lovely and we had the table facing the street which was a great spot to sit. Would visit here again.
Service was excellent and food was great, however not good value for money, and we were charged for tap water!
Entree and dessert were great but to be honest have had better pasta elsewhere
Some of the dishes were absolutely outstanding, meat dish dry and potatoes a bit overdone.
Great to try the new quail dish which was delicious and having some old favourites again especially the rootello bonnato. New wines on list as well. Continuing their high quality and one of the best places to eat in SA
Enjoyed the dinner tasting menu. Great service and friendly staff. Happy to change the menu for dietary requirements and preferences. Would highly recommend.
Always amazing food, love going back here time and time again
Tess was very attentive and always at our table at the right time. She found the right balance of not being there too much but not to let us wait too long. Her bubbly and engaging nature made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent. I love food where I can taste the real ingredients and where there is a sense of homemade feel to it. Nido certainly meets that expectation. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back.
First course fantastic, steak grisly not tender but large, calamari could not eat. Very hot inside. So no desert or coffee we left disappointed. Waiting staff very pleasant.
Great food and friendly staff in a lovely spot. The highlights were the crab (entree) and the yogurt sorbet with bay leaf oil for dessert!
Dinner was wonderful, as was the service! They were totally accomodating for my friend who is a vegetarian - we will be back
Good ambience, great service but expected the food to be a notch better
Always a consistent, stunning experience and never disappoints
Absolutely brilliant and have already recommended to friends
Pranzo is a great option for lunch - try a bit of everything!
Outstanding food! Simply delicious pasta! We will be back!
Food was bad. We ordered two pasta and a main. One pasta was too sour and the other pasta was too salty. We could not manage to finish the pasta as the pasta was way too salty and the taste was too pungent for us. We ordered the quail as a main and although the quail was good, it was too expensive for the amount of the food. As a main dish, they only serve 1 quail for $26. Service was good, they offered to redo the pasta as we requested it to be softer.
$52 for 2 courses or $78 for 3 courses, all chef's choice. Would be helpful to have a printed menu though. Had the 3 course and there were 6 individual dishes and 1 dessert. Portions aren't too big so for some, it might be just enough or not enough. Was very enjoyable to have good weather for outdoor dining. Food was really good and worth checking out.
Fantastic food, friendly , helpful service and a lovely ambience. Very happy to eat there again
Awesome experience at NIDO! They were able to cater for a celiac with full understanding of the allergy. There was excellent communication between the kitchen, front of house staff and us which ensured a safe dinning experience. Food, wine and service were all great. Best overall experience in Adelaide for some time!
Amazing food and service, highly recommend the set menu!
The pasta was soo salty that I couldn't eat it. I got a nice fresh piece of fish which was good as long as I didn't eat any sauce. My fellow diners were very happy. Price is exorbitant but it is Hyde Park. I wouldn't go there again.
6 course menu is perfect, great value and enough food. Service is amazing. We’re going back next month.
Staff were fantastic and food was delicious!
As we were in a group of 6, we were required to have the tasting menu which was $78 a head (there was also the option for $52pp). The party agreed while the food was sensational, that the tasting menu was not good value for money as there was not enough food.
Would definitely recommend this amazing establishment but would not opt for nor recommend the tasting menu
I am torn on this one. The food was good and the people serving were good but Jesus it was so slow. I had 3 emails and a phone call confirming that it was a 90 minute sitting which worked well for all of us. There was only a choice of a 2 or 4 course set menu which we assumed would be served in the 90 minutes. Our booking was at 715 (we were all there before 730) and I had to leave at 930 having not even been served main course. We were outside and i think maybe forgotten. Perhaps when they are emphasising the time issue so much and it is, in fact, not an issue they should confirm this with you on arrival. I was pretty disappointed to pay $80 for a dinner I didn't even see the main of over 2 hours later.
We have been here a couple of times. The bread is simply amazing and what brought us back. The bread combined with ricotta and honey is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. This time lunch was a set menu. Great tasting dishes and generous servings.
Delicious food
Great service
Value for money
A very gracious host
Would highly recommend
Exceptional, service, food and flavour with great ambience.
Enjoyed birthday dinner with family. My husband and 1, and our 11 and 13 year olds loved the food.
The service was brilliant, I was so impressed with how friendly the wait staff were and how lovely, and accomodating Laura was. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family. Food wise the highlight was the fresh bread and ricotta/honey dip; so delicious.
Very disappointing. We had a share platter with a couple of the plates being absolutely superb. Two of the four pasta dishes were nice but the last two were overpoweringly rich. A prawn seafood pasta dish tasted like they had severely overdone a prawn head stock. Service was OK apart from the waiter hovering over me when I had to select the tip or not. Wine prices were outrageous starting in the mid $60 and heading north quickly from there. There was no capacity to BYO.
With so many fabulous eating places in Adelaide I would give this place a swerve.
Amazing food, service & wine. The perfect way to spend a child free night out with the husband. Hopefully we get to come back again soon
Food was delicious but unfortunately was spoiled by the 90 minute time frame.
We were offered a choice of two tasting menus, we were hungry so we opted for the larger of the two approximately $70pp. Unfortunately 90 minutes was insufficient to get through this menu. We felt rushed, there was no spacing between food. My husband hadn't finished eating their main when the rest of the tables plates were cleared and dessert was plonked in front of us with the bill. Staff hovered as my husband took his last bite, they whisked away his plate and replaced it with dessert then let us know there was another seating and that we needed to leave. We hadn't even finished out bottle of wine.
I understand restaurants are now having to make changes to work with restrictions and to try and get as many customers to remain profitable. I'd suggest only offering the lower cost $50 tasting menu for the 90 minute sitting. We were trusting the restaurant when we made our selection.
On the positive side, the food was delicious and they catered to our dietary requirements well. I'm sure the ever changing restrictions are making things difficult. We will visit again but probably not with a group and only when we can go back to selecting our own dishes.
Food and service was incredible, but very limited drink options for people who do not drink alcohol or want something simple.
Friendly staff with a good knowledge of menu and wine, food was delicious and I left feeling satisfyingly full
Really enjoyed our dinner at Nido. we had the $52 feed me dinner and here was plenty of food for the 3 of us and the food was wonderful
what a great night. food was fabulous.. would recommend to everyone to go.
Had high expectations after watching Laura cook on her 2 seasons of MasterChef and she still exceeded them by far.
Totally gorgeous space she has created, excellent staff. Cannot fault.
The entrees were amazing, could not fault them (especially the whipped ricotta). I found the pasta to be good however didn’t find anything special about it... The flavour was good and you can tell the ingredients are fresh, although I feel I could make similar dishes in my own home, therefore I feel the price is unjustified.
The overall experience was great and the female server we had was brilliant. I would recommend to friends or family but probably wouldn’t revisit myself having already been once now.
