Nido Bar & Pasta
Best pasta in Adelaide, would definitely dine again.
Lovely cosy place to have a date night dinner. Staff were all super friendly and attentive. Food was amazing especially the whipped ricotta!
sat on a tiny bar table with no back support - no mention of this in booking. Had ants running along the wall for the entirety of dinner. Waiter saw an ant on my napkin and replaced the napkin. Did not attempt to find us another table or address the problem. Waited 20 mins to be served a drink. Food was beautiful. Upon paying my partner had been gifted a gift voucher for his 21st birthday, but a limited menu - only one desert available? After redeeming this voucher the waiter told him of the remaining balance for future use - as we were walking away said to his co worker loudly “or don’t use”. Incredibly rude, would not dine again.
Delicious food, must try starters as well as mains. Great setup where kitchen is on view and staff very helpful with drinks choices.
Excellent food, wine, service and ambience. Highly recommended!
Fabulous food & service. Quite noisy but it’s a small quaint place so that’s to be expected. Some dishes are on the pricey side but top quality & very tasty. Wine list is good & they’re happy for you to “try before you buy” when purchasing by the glass. Highly recommend!
Birthday fun place great food and service
The ricotta and bread was to die for! Service great too.
We had two pastas, a main and two sides between the three of us, and every single mouthful was delicious.
Amazing food and amazing service! I highly recommend!
A cosy little place. Perfect for a romantic date or dinner with friends. Such a wholesome experience overall - fresh flavourful dishes prepared with care and an intuitive and thoughtful wine service made for a very enjoyable night.
Great food and atmosphere. Complimented by friendly, knowledgeable and non intrusive staff.
I was disappointed in the service of the staff at Nido on this occasion. I had booked this restaurant as a surprise for my partner, and had included Birthday in the booking when prompted if it was a special occasion, as well as requesting a seat at a table and not the counter.
When we arrived, we were seated at the counter.
I asked if we could sit at a table which they obliged. We were given water and a drinks menu. We waited 25 minutes for a waiter to come over to us, during which we tried to make eye contact with the wait staff. The waiter came over and asked if we would mind shifting our seats as he wanted to reposition the table. He did so, and left before we could ask him to please take our drinks order and ask for the food menu. No other staff came to our table.
It was not that busy in the restaurant, as we saw the waitstaff looking at tables and topping up their drinks, and generally cruising around but not making eye contact with us.
I had been really looking forward to trying the food here, but to be uncared for and not served by the staff after waiting for such a long time was very disappointing.
This was the first time we ate here since it was The Pot. The food was absolutely delicious and very different tastes. The service was fantastic with Josh. We will definitely come here again. It is great for a family meal or even a romantic one. Definitely recommend trying this restaurant.
Two of us got sick from the food. Waiter was arrogant & abrupt.
We had a selection of starters and a bowl of pasta each for a mid-week catch-up with a friend/colleague from interstate. Food was very good; beautifully cooked pasta and interesting sauces with gutsy flavours. Service was attentive and friendly, with good suggestions when prompted. My quibble. The wine list is short, with virtually all obscure brands. So with the reds ranging from $50 (house wine) to $100 it felt like an expensive lottery, especially with no descriptions of what to expect in the wines themselves. Punting on a 2019 thing from the Riverland at over 50 bucks is just something I refuse to do.
Very friendly staff , good wine , the food was amazing would recomend Nido Bar without hesitation
One quibble, they had sold out of the $70 bottle of wine we ordered and substituted another bottle of the same grape. Fine. When we came to pay we discovered that the substitution was $90. I think it's cheeky not to mention that at time of ordering.
Absolutely superb food, but in the end we had a disappointing experience when the waiter who had been excellent all night, suddenly became rude towards the end of our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant from the point of view of the food was, just be prepared for service as described above
Exceptional food and service. Love going there every time I’m visiting from Sydney
Fantastic service, amazing food, great location. One of my friends is coeliac and they were able to make almost everything on the menu gluten free with no fuss.
Amazing food! Great location too. Waitress could have been a little more friendly. Felt like we were an inconvenience to her.
I ate at Nido last time I visited Adelaide and really enjoyed it. I was keen to return and it did not disappoint. The pasta is fabulous. The staff were great and the ambience is great. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Adelaide.
The team squeezed us in for a late booking and we so welcoming and hospitable. Food is absolutely amazing, wine list is spot on. Would highly recommend.
Exceptional food with a great atmosphere. Food choices and wine list complement each other as does the knowledge of staff. Lighting and music keeps the experience on point and allows yourself or group to create the atmosphere your looking for. Pace of food from ordering through courses allows for casual conversation and time and comfortably supports a red rinse.
Great food, great wine list. Always consistently good.
Great night and food. Energetic vibe. We'll be back to work through more of the menu. Friendly service with smiles too.
Service was not very responsive or quick
Fish was ok
Pasta was good
The concept and quality of the food is excellent. It is head and shoulders over any similarly priced restaurant in the vicinity. The service was pretty good too: informal, informative, and well-timed. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there.
Food good. Prefer less noise, and we would
prefer to be able to bring our own wine.
Fantastic evening great food wine and service. A really terrific set menu for the Gala Street Party providing great value
Delicious. Great food, wine and service. Go - if you like good cooking and modern Italian food you won’t be disappointed.
We were not aware there was no BYO. We happily put out bottle away but we were disappointed at the lack lustre wine list, so we stuck to water. Entree was nice as was the pork ragu and the parpadella. However the gnocchi was heavy on the citrus flavour and the size of the serve was very small. I had heard so many good reviews about Nido and ended up being disappointed.
With that said, I will give it another go.
Our luncheon at Nido was lovely as usual
Beautiful food and a warm welcome
Will definitely be returning
Amazing service and the food was fantastic. We will Definitely return
Great food, but too noisy for conversation. Wine list could be more extensive but good wines on the list.
Loved it and will definitely be back again. The 'rootello bonnato' was delicious and the pasta dishes we tried we great as well.
We had a most enjoyable night.
Extremely good staff, friendly, informative makes for a great night.
The food was delish, fabulous. All dishes we chose were amazing. Well done, we will be back.
Nido is a lovely restaurant with beautiful and interesting food, but what made it an exceptional experience was Laura, the person who served us.
She was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive throughout.
