Nido Bar & Pasta
The roadworks left something to be desired, but this is hardly the fault of the restaurant and will surely be temporary.
Lovely food and service. Thank you
Great full flavoured, modern Italian food in an intimate space with cracking drinks and service
Brilliant service. Loved sitting at bar and having the person behind the bar always there for all our needs.
The food was amazing. Very very tasty.
I am looking forward to having interstate and international visitors so I can take them to Nido. This place will impress them. We will definitely return again and again
Fully recommend Nido
Second visit to Nido and still loving it. Blown away by the technical level of the food, and the delicious flavours. Lovely floor staff, lively atmosphere. This is only my second visit but not my last one.
Food was fantastic with a great wine list and a lively atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
Third time Ive been and evern better than the last
Was disappointed in service mostly. Staff were friendly but to only have two people working on mother’s days when they seemed to be completely booked out including the afternoon period would put any waiter under pressure. A few tweaks needed in staffing and to make sure you don’t run out of champagne on mother’s day. Would have spent much more on drinks!
Divine. The hottest new menu. Gorgeous staff, fabulous music and mighty fine wine list. Second visit in a week. Still dreaming of the blue swimmer crab toasts.
Enthusiastic staff and a nice vibe complement some beautifully rich food to give you a experience that leads you to plan your next visit before you've even finished your main.
Everything was really salty. We tried a variety of dishes and they all seem to be quite salty. The steam fish was really fishy too, didn't like it.
Although the food was good the serving sizes were small and inconsistent among our group. The music was extremely loud and when we asked for it to be turned down our waitress informed us "it was one of her favourites", she did however turn it down
The raviolo was too small for a main course. We also ordered a steak, which was presented on a plate with nothing else. No sauce, no garnish, no love. Disappointing for the price asked. Wait staff on the other hand were polite. Noisy atmosphere, hard to talk but was a full house.
Third visit in a month as I am addicted to the gnochhi fritto. Excellent service and outstanding food.
Very good food and attentive friendly service. Would prefer more by the glass options in terms of wine availability, and maybe think about the way they do it in the UK and elsewhere with 125, 175 and 250 ml pour options
Overall very highly recommended and we will readily go there again!
I felt so happy and valued while dining at Nido. The food was incredibly good. I think the pricing , although not cheap, was reflective of the quality ingredients and tremendous amount of work involved to bring the creations to the table. Spacing of courses was perfect, we felt neither rushed, nor ignored. I cannot wait to return. The daily menu is exciting, but the prospect of not having the chance to taste something (like that rootello bonnato) again, brings on a kind of grief.
Food and service were very good but the noise level was extreme making conversation very difficult. The outstanding rootello bonnato has changed from week 1, 'tweaked' much to the detriment of the dish and to our disappointment.
What an amazing restaurant! The food was sensational as was the service.
We had the anchovy fingers per the recommendations of the waitress. Something we would not usually choose but an absolute stand out. The fried bread with whipped goats curd is also unbelievable. Pasta was fresh and decent serving. They were very busy when we arrived but after 20 or so minutes had very attentive service throughout the night. We’ll be back.
The food was nice and the staff were friendly and obliging.
We were very disappointed with the on-line booking service as we booked a table and when we got there the only available seats were at the bar. We also had to wait for 20 minutes out the back even though we were on time. This is not a good place to wait: there is a high bar, but the stools are not suitable and you are basically standing in the car park. We were given a glass of bubbly on the house after about 15 minutes which was nice, just as we were about to leave- so we ended up staying for the meal!
Recommended for the food if you don't mind a crowded, noisy eating area: but we were happy to leave straight after our main course, and probably wont be going back.
Exceptional food, great service, staff willing to take the time to go the extra mile.
Highly recommend - the food, service and ambience was fantastic.
The food was stunning, delicious, well presented without being pretentious - showcased the excellent quality products used
Even the music choice was great!
We had high expectations from Nido as it had been generating a lot of hype. While we were impressed by the food, a number of other aspects let the restaurant down.
We were seated along a bench at the front of the restaurant. The chairs were stools rather than seats. This meant three of our guests were on the footpath, which was problematic and distracting on a very windy night. This is despite specifically requesting “indoor seating” when booking. By virtue of sitting on stools on the footpath, there was also no where for the girls to put their handbags (other than the dirty ground), and subsequently had their bags on their laps for the entire night.
Service was also very, very slow. We had an 8pm booking and arrived at 8pm sharp. By the time our drink orders had been taken and brought to the table, it was 8:40pm. Completely unacceptable to wait 40 minutes for a drink.
Throughout the night, it also came to light that the kitchen had run out of a number of items, including the Raviolo and roast potatoes (which was one of three sides). Drinks we ordered later in the night were then forgotten, and it was very difficult to get anyone’s attention to clarify where they were. We were then left with empty water glasses for the better part of 45 minutes while waiting for these missing beverages.
Having said this, the food was great. The pastas were incredible, and the lamb shoulder was cooked perfectly. We won’t be back any time soon, but perhaps in a few months when the service issues have been ironed out we’ll give the restaurant a second chance.
Amazing meal with some of the best pasta dishes i have tasted in Adelaide, very impressive for what is a new setup.
New restaurant... but service was not great. Food was tasty but pricey... certainly not a neighbourly restaurant that you would go to a few times a week... too expensive. Unfortunately misses the mark.
It’s a bit of worry when a family said upon finishing last mouth full of pasta - let’s go now to XXXXXX cause she was still hungry !! Need to up size the pasta mains a bit more
Great food and service. Drink range excellent. Well done
We thought wow another Italian restaurant?!
Yes they serve great pasta but to our surprise the hero dish’s were Coorong mullet, cured mulloway - a roo dish and the best cornetto desert .. oh and the best espresso martini we’ve had to finish
Definitely going back to check out the rest of the menu
Underwhelming food and service. Vale the Pot this new venture is doomed.
