Nick's Neighborhood Bar & Grill
Great service in a comfortable neighborhood restaurant. We had cocktails and barbecue and both were great!
Excellent and friendly service. Wide variety of foods on menu. Had the buffalo egg rolls for an appetizer, burgers and salads. Besides the burger being a bit overdone, everything was great. Would visit again for sure.
Another great meal at Nick's. It's my go-to place in Wilmette and everyone I've ever brought here becomes a fan. Lots of options in food and drink. Very good service and just an overall nice vibe. There are many families with kids so it can get a little loud, but it's not intolerable. The outdoor tables are in demand and worth waiting for.
Judy, our server, was awesome! Food, as always, fantastic.
Always good. Kind of loud. Lot's of repeat customers.
Great service, friendly but not instrusive. I loved the peach salad.
Everything was great, especially the hostess who went out of her way to accomodate us!!
Too noisy. Definitely more for families than adult night out. Food was good.
The brisket was soft like butter and delicious.
It’s true to its name - a warm, welcoming neighborhood restaurant. Great beer list and daily specials give a gastro pub feel to the menu, while still being unpretentious and family friendly.
Nick's is a great place to take your family for lunch. Very kid-friendly, quick service, children's menu has a variety of options (the sliders are the favorite of our family). The burgers are delicious, and there are many interesting salads offered.
The chicken oregano is outstanding as well as the Mac and cheese
Always great service and consistently high quality food. A true neighborhood gem that makes you feel welcomed every time you come in.
This is my new favorite neighborhood restaurant. The menu is large--something for everyone. I enjoyed the taco salad with shrimp. My husband raved about the cheeseburger and home-made chips. My granddaughter loved the sliders on the children's menu--just her size! We will be back many times.
Food good but pricy better to have sandwiches instead
Nick's is our go-to place for dinner... I had never been for lunch, but when a friend from Riverwoods asked me to pick a place, I figured it would be great, AND it WAS! Thanks!
Excellent food, very responsive service, reasonable prices. We love this neighborhood diner!
Great spot for a pre-basketball game dinner at NU! Service, food and atmosphere were festive!
The Chicken Noodle soup was extremely salty; it was not edible. The waiter did not charge me for the soup. My Ahi Tuna wrap had a funny taste to it. This was our first time at Nicks and it wasn’t anything special.
We will not be back.
Sat on the back and it was too cold.
It's all in the name. This is a great neighborhood place. Warm welcoming atmosphere with attentive service and a varied menu including both comfort food and well-prepared fresh entrees.
Service was great and we were not rushed. Food was excellent with lots of choices
Received cold fries with sandwich. Asked for fresh fries. Waiter very apologetic. Brought new ‘hot’ fries and they were disgusting. Tasted like they had been re fried!
Food was pretty good, though I thought the pulled pork sandwich was a little dry. Seemed to be lacking BBQ sauce that I just assume is automatic with a pulled pork sandwich. Still a good meal, however.
We had a lovely dinner. Food was delicious
There was a good variety on the menu. The food was delicious. The ambiance was nice.
Peter (head server at lunch) and Tony (bus man) are the best team in town.
The food was good, but I thought the prices were high for the lack of character to the restaurant. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was good, but the restaurant was very loud on a Saturday night. Filled with lots of kids, so that added to the noise considerably.
Nick's is truly an excellent neighborhood restaurant. Most evenings, the place is filled with families and kids. The food is very good, the portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is very attentive.
Cute little place. Great food and menu choices. Very friendly staff. Good place to watch a game.
A great spot to enjoy lunch/brunch with friends. Their brunch was excellent and different.
Enjoyed the environment and service was great., food was delicious.
The taco salads were great! The ahi tuna wrap was tasty, but lacked tuna. The salmon burger was thin and dry, and was most likely from frozen. (Not very good). We mentioned when making a reservation on Open Table that we were celebrating a birthday, however no one at Nick’s acknowledged that.
Great, great service! Enjoyed our Saturday night with friends.
We had lunch here before heading to a Northwestern football game. It is close to the stadium. The food is great, service excellent, with a wide variety of entrees and drinks. There were lots of other football fans here, but it was not noisy. I would definitely repeat for our next visit.
Food and service were both quite good
You don’t need to go to Evanston for good food!!! Everything was good here! You can go wrong and the service was impeccable. 5 stars!!
It was a salmon burger with no taste
The shrimp tacos were too small
The taco salad did not have enough dressing
This restaurant had poor service and mediocre food
