Absolutely delicious food and great service! We had a wonderful evening celebrating our anniversary at NeXT and felt safe with all of the COVID precautions they are taking.

I found that the covid precautions were not safe as my party (6guests) were standing in the lobby for 15 minutes without help (due to the dining room being extremely busy) and we were there with 8 other people waiting to be seated. So a total of 14 people in a small waiting area with almost no social distancing happening. It was extremely frustrating, I would expect more from a high end restaurant.

Please note if I could give this restaurant a 0 I would for the following reason: I have been a customer for many years and posted a private review recently to provide feedback. Attached are screenshoots of the unbelievable response I received from the restaurant owner who personally attacked me and called me ignorant because I did not provide him with a favourable review. Please note that the owner sent an email I attached hinting that we can book for 8 people under two separate names to get around covid rules. He then proceeded to bully me in his responses and suggest that I was the one who asked him to break the rules. If that was the case, why did he accept our reservation? It is all about money for him because the restaurant was so crowded that authorities should follow up if they do re-open after this lockdown as I am sure they are operating outside of the rules. Don’t waste your money on this place unless you want to be called names after spending hundreds of dollars for dinner. This place has zero class.

This was my first in-restaurant dining experience since Covid began. A friend suggested two other restaurants, but I was not comfortable with those suggestions. I know that Chef Blackie and his team have been beyond vigilant so I made our reservation at NEXT. I was not disappointed. Brunch was divine (as usual), and NEXT has a new client since my friend loved both the food and the ambience.
Cheers to many more wonderful dining experiences.

Amazing restaurant service and food was amazing! Definitely a must try

My husband and I brought our granddaughter for brunch and surprisingly tried what was on the tray. She’s a picky eater and she actually liked the food.

We had excellent service and food was very good. Thank you.

NeXT is an excellent choice for a formal dinner with reasonable prices.

We had the tasting menu with wine pairings and it was excellent with a great variety of different dishes, and tastefully selected wines.

They were great in creating a gluten-free selection by adapting existing dishes for the tasting menu.

We will definitely be back!

I ordered the rib-eye steak and there was no meat on it, just fat and ligaments. Awful! Apart from that, there was a table close by where the people clearly had too much to drink and kept shouting. So overall a negative experience, unfortunately, in contrast to our previous visit which was really good. We won't be going back for a while.

We had the blind share and every course was delicious! And the portions were perfect as well.

Only thing missing is the crispy kale salad - one of our favourites.

Tried the tasting menu which was absolutely amazing.

Tables in our area were extremely spaced out (I think there were 3-4 couples in the whole room) and covid precautions were in place.

Service was great. Of course it is expensive but sometimes you have to treat yourself.

The restaurant is beautiful, the server was helpful and attentive, the food was delicious. I was pleased with the attention given to pre-screening, masks, and social distancing.

The food was very high end and we enjoyed eating foods that we would never have ordered off the menu. Great experience.

Overall an amazing experience. Will be returning.

Simply amazing

Absolutely OUTSTANDING service, food and atmosphere. We have ALWAYS had this experience every time we dine at NEXT! Our Go to restaurant!

The food and overall dining experience is always excellent at Next. This particular visit was for my wife's birthday and this was during a period of moderate Covid lockdown where indoor dining was still available. Covid precautions were strictly enforced but still allowed for a good dining experience.

There are so many great food options to choose from but we always choose the Blind Sharing Menu. They will also do wine pairings with this to make it even better! The Blind Sharing menu takes the stress out of selecting. You simply arrive with your group and enjoy the evening.

This was our first time to NeXt and it left us all very underwhelmed. We chose the blind tasting menu and we did not find any of it exceptional. The value was not there and we left feeling disappointed.

A creative menu with lots of options. Wonderful service and atmosphere. Definitely a new favourite.

Felt it was really well organized and safe with the new Covid protocols they had in place.

The food was good and we enjoyed the platters. For some reason they brought out only one board when we were waiting for two. As we waiting for the other one which took about 10-15 mins that one got cold waiting for our friends so we could all eat. Not sure why they would bring out one when other tables they brought all at the same time. The tables WERE NOT 6 FEET apart. Definitely not social distancing in anyway. Our chairs were touching other people’s behind us. Not sure why they had people on one side of the room but there is lots of space they just don’t want to use it.

Excellent food and wine pairing. Nice to have professional wait staff.

Really enjoyed our 7 course blind tasting menu! And the wine flight was perfect!

The food did not blow us away which is what you expect for the price you pay. We also felt the delivery of the courses during the blind menu lacked attention to detail. Seemed like the waiters were rushed.

An amazing experience as always! Always feel safe in NEXT and the food is beyond fabulous. Definitely recommend!

Great experience, Balckies food was wonderful! Has the short rib which was cooked to perfection and the fried chicken which was also good. The food came so quickly and the ambiance of the restaurant was wonderful.

Birthday celebration

Had a very nice experience at NEXT. We went on a Thursday and the restaurant was comfortably distanced. Chef Blackie was on hand and the food and service were excellent!

We celebrated (safely) a family birthday brunch at Next. Everyone enjoyed the brunch and loved the selection of breakfast, savoury and sweet dishes. It’s a great way to celebrate a special occasion.

We love the food as it so flavourful. It takes a dish and kicks it up a notch. It is pricey but the value is outstanding!

First time at NeXT for dinner. Food was unbelievable, our meal was very tasty, cooked to perfection. Appetizers were very well prepared, so much that we ordered a double round. Drinks were okay. Service was great, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive.
