We have two of Australia's most exciting young chefs at the helm of our open kitchen. Charlie Vargas (previously Frasers, Balthazar and 1907) is supported by Vince Conjaerts (previously Fervor, De kleine zavel, L`épicerie du cirque)

I love the option where you can pay per head and let the chefs make you a variety of share plates and they will keep coming out until you’re full! Includes 3 amazing desserts as well. We must of had 15 plates of amazing creations plus 3 desserts! Everyone including the chefs were incredible! Oh and the wine list? That was outstanding too! For what we got, value was outstanding!

There were many customers hence the service was a little slow and the table beside us, who came later had their food first.
Fabulous restaurant. Enjoyed chatting to the owner (who was our waiter) about how he is supporting local suppliers, reducing waste and providing a great experience for customers. Cocktails at the roof top bar pre-dinner added to the whole experience. We sat at the high table facing the kitchen so were able to be served by the chefs and chat to the them too.
Wonderful food and service
The menu is not very extensive but every item on it has been carefully chosen and is cooked and presented perfectly. Our wait staff were very friendly & knowledgeable and encouraged us to taste the wine before choosing. We were too full to order dessert this time so will have to go back soon to test that part of the menu! Overall a great night out.
Place is great for a date for two, wouldn’t recommend sharing plates for a larger group. Would have been nice to have a few plates at a time. Wasn’t really suitable sharing the asparagus plate (first plate to come out by itself) between four people - would have been nice if it came out with a few other plates at the same time. Overall nice experience.
The food is delicious!! The ambience is a bit loud for conversation or larger groups. Service very friendly and informative. Lovely vibe.

Hands down the best meal EVER! The food and wine was amazing, the overall standard of the restaurant was incredible and the exceptional service from the waitstaff and chefs was second to none. I’ll certainly be going here again!!!
We loved our experience at New Normal. It was great to see the chefs at work and that the each dish comes with a story about how they sources the ingredients. I love the local and seasonal approach to their dishes
I had been to New Normal for lunch with a friend not long after the restaurant opened and loved the food.
This time I invited another friend for lunch she was particularly fond of the food we choose. the waitress was extremely helpful and the glass of red wine we had was superb. Well done!
Excellent service, 90% of the menu is gluten-free which suited us, and what wasn't gluten free was easily adjusted to accommodate. The food was fresh and tasty, but a bit on the expensive side for the size of the dishes. Still a lovely night though

We were a group of 8 ladies and had the best time on Thursday night! We had a WONDERFUL lady as our waitress, she was so knowledgable and had the best approach - we all commented a few times on her great service throughout the night. Food was delicious too! The portions were quite small, 1 plate is probably best to be shared by no more than 3-4 people otherwise you literally get a bite. If you have more than that, order 2 of each dish you want to try. The desserts were incredible too! The chef created a special dish for us with ingredients that were available and it was delicious!! We loved it and will definitely be back!
What a brilliant evening we had. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic about the menu and were very engaging. The food was stunning in perfect portions. Definitely not to be missed! We will be back and we'll be telling everyone we know!

The food is incredibly tasty and fairly good sized for the price. The wait staff and chefs were able to assist one friend with several food allergies and intolerances.
We were happy to assist with trialing a new dessert, set to go on the menu.

The food was really good, and the atmosphere was lively and fun (although a bit noisy to hear conversation easily). The service was very friendly but the waitstaff struggled to remember the details of some of the dishes and had trouble recommending a wine choice (to be fair, our main waitress said it was her second shift, but she wasn't the only one who had trouble). All in all, it was a really enjoyable meal and I liked the share-food concept.

Great seeing meals made from local produce. Not a huge menu means less food wastage and chefs can concentrate on quality. Deliciously simple and simply delicious!!!
Great attentive service initially that then moved to stress to ensure we were out before next booking. Our waiter (supported by Manager we think) with ketvys know a time check Of 30 mins till we needed to go. This spoilt our experience at this restaurant. We were told if we wanted dessert then it would have to be seen with kitchen and if could be rushed .. oh well! It could have been managed better to share with us they had a table of 16 coming in.
