Great food, great management and wonderful ambiance! One of my favorite dining experiences
The Tomato soup was too spicy too enjoy! I like spicy but that was way past anything I have ever had in a restaurant especially for a tomato soup.
The food was good, although we missed the duck entree which was taken off the menu since our last visit. Our waitress was excellent, cheerful, and happy to answer all questions.
It was good. Not outstanding, but very credible. Portions were generous.

A birthday dinner with best friends. 2 expensive steaks were over cooked. The very nice waiter felt terrible. He and the manager immediately brought us another round of drinks. Remade the steaks perfectly.
I eat here often for business lunches. They deliver a quality experience.

Server was spread too thin-were going to a concert and my birthday dinner-love the restaurant but so disappointing

The bar service was a little slow (cocktails order) bread service also slow. We asked for seconds that took awhile. Overall I would come here again. A nice option when you are in the Westwood area
Thanks Fluffydog! Our bar is very popular. I would imagine when you were there it was as well. Since it is a bar, we may be a bit more relaxed there and not as timely as we would hope to be in the dining room. We have an excellent Happy Hour and that may be one of the reasons we fill up and folks leave happy despite the timing issues. We appreciate your patience with all of it. Thanks, Brian
Had a lovely unrushed 3 hour dinner. We were able to just sit and visit and actually hear each other. We all enjoyed our meals. Nice neighborhood restaurant.

We love to sit on the outside patio. The inside seating is very dark. The menu is limited, especially on a Sunday when they run out of many of the favorites. This last time we ate there (on a Sunday) it was hard even to find a desirable option. But the bar offerings are great.
Too salty. Every dish was extremely salty.
I celebrated my 67th birthday dinner at Napa Valley Grille with my husband. We sat next to the fireplace, so the ambiance was very pleasant. For dinner, I had filet mignon with an outstanding reduction sauce, plus creamy mashed potatoes. For desert, we were treated with a delectable butterscotch bread pudding. The dining experience was excellent!

Two nights in a row service was very slow. Sat a long time before anyone showed up and during the course of the meal
And you still gave us 4 stars!! Food must have been good. Were you in the bar or in the dining room? The bar can get busy and like all bars, service can be a bit frenzied. Especially with our very popular Happy Hour. Let us know when you are back in. Thanks, Brian

I hadn’t been to a Napa Valley Grille in several years and was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the whole experience was mediocre. Decor and atmosphere are nice, but food and service didn’t measure up. Papardelle was hard, not al dente. Chicken was overpowered by other things on the plate. Sangria flight was disappointing, service was lackluster. Bread was excellent—a highlight, but that won’t bring us back.

The best ahi tuna salad EVER!
The restaurant even made me a small batch of balsamic salad dressing to put on the greens. Delish.
Barnabus was our server and he was friendly and helpful.
The Manager, Brian is always walking up and down the floor to see if all is O K in the restaurant.

Had a great time here for bottomless brunch with my boyfriend. We had the GM Bryan and our server Alex helping us out. We expressed to them how we’d prefer less OJ in the mimosas since we aren’t big OJ people and they happily obliged. I also enjoyed it because it had a nice atmosphere but not at all rowdy for being so close to UCLA. Great service, will definitely we returning.

My "go to" place for business lunches and evening meals ahead of Geffen Playhouse season tickets!

Almost a 5 Star!!! Service was great. Hats off to Emily. Caesar salad was so so, pretty bland. No "spark". Skirt steak on top of salad was fabulous. I'd go back for sure, and hope somebody else was paying. A little pricey.

The food is overpriced. The food quality was mediocre. Cheese plate was not good. Tasteless bread with a small amount of cheese. We did not want the meat but were not given extra cheese to make up for it. Fish was poorly cooked and rubbery with tasteless potatoes. The only good part of the meal was the wine.

Generally I would rate Napa Grill a 5 on most counts, but this past weekend their were off their game. Took fabulous Branzino off the menu. Big mistake. It was awesome. Also their polenta was sorry, but horrid. Lumps, dry, overcooked. In addition to the less likable new menu, for some reason there was a Fire Department test/drill there during the dinner hour. Flashing lights, beeping sounds...loud. It seemed like forever but was most likely about 15 minutes. Now seriously, how in hell did the owner not work with the Fire department to do this test during off hours? Not Saturday night dinner? So bad ambiance, ok maybe maybe it was not their fault. But unlike my past two reviews, they just weren't with it this time. Very disappointed and we drive from south Orange County to enjoy Napa Grill. Bummer.
Hi Donna, We change our menu 3 times a year. Always have, always will. The Branzino replaced the John Dory and the Chilean Seabass replaced the Branzino. People are loving it. Sorry you didn't. As for the fire department and the alarm, that is absolutely NOT in our control. If you felt annoyed, multiply your displeasure times 178 and you might feel how we felt. They are contracted with our building 1100 Glendon of which we are a tenant along with several hundred others. Thanks, Brian
The food and service were great. We had sea bass and wagyu beef. The kids menu was a great option for only $10, and staff was super friendly with our son.
The whole experience was expensive ($200 for 2 adults and 1 child with just 1 glass of wine), but totally worth.
However, it ain’t your go everyday restaurant.

The ambience of Napa Valley Grill is perfect for bistro dining indoors or out. The staff is wonderful, thoughtful and accommodating. The waiter did not say " how are we doing tonight ? ". He was intelligent
and had a great sense of timing. I recommend this restaurant for a perfect for a delightful dinner before the theater.

Service is laid back but fantastic. Ambiance inside and outside both welcoming. Slightly noisy outside. One of my favorite places on the west side.

Not a good day for service. Hardly had anyone attending to us. Had to wait a long time to get our food. Perhaps they were understaffed, but definitely felt neglected.

My friend and I both ordered the ahi salad and by mistake asked for it to be chopped up and mixed together.
Not my cup of tea for I always love the pieces of ahi nestled on top of the salad, but it was still delish.
Reservation for two was honored and we were seated right away. Have been to Napa Vally Grille a number of times and always have an enjoyable meal. And this time didn't disappoint. Our server Phillip had a great personality and was very attentive to our needs and of course the food was excellent.
