Absolutely divine. Wonderful experience with knowledgeable staff that are chilled and happy to give recommendations. Food was amazing, tasty and options for vegetarians was fabulous and such value for money. We couldn’t have had a better experience.
Excellent food and attentive table service. The service was friendly, efficient and welcoming.
The duck was cooked to perfection and the dumplings were very tasty with good proportions for starters.
2nd visit and will return again.
Great venue in a nice room on the level above the bars in the Espy. Food and service were excellent. Drinks choice was reasonable. We had 5 share plates - 2 entrees, 2 mains and a dessert between 2 of us which was fine for lunch. The lamb spring rolls with a mint dipping sauce, the pork belly main course and the donuts (2 each) were all extra nice and we'd have them again. We also had 2 Singapore Slings ($18 each) and 2 glasses of wine. No coffees. All up it was just shy of $200 for 2 of us - including a 15% surcharge for Easter Sunday (which is way over the top). It's nice but expensive so be warned.
The whole experience of walking into the newly renovated Espy added to our very special Easter Sunday lunch.
We were seated at the window table with the view of the St.Kilda Pier that was picture perfect.
We chose the banquet and were so spoiled with such delicious flavours and variety of dishes- so so DELICIOUS.
Beautifully prepared and presented dishes.
Good wait service but very brusque maître d
Food nice but many places do similar formulas now so not worth a special trip
Pricey for what it is and paper napkins and not changing plates through multiple courses
Some tables much better than others also
we were all extremely annoyed that we were charged a public holiday levy on a NON PUBLIC HOLIDAY.
We were not informed of the levy prior so we do believe we were RIPPED OFF.
so it will take a long time before returning or recommending
Hi Trevor, Thank you for visiting Mya Tiger on Saturday. The Public Holiday Surcharge is printed on all of our menus along with dietary information. We appreciate that this was not pointed out when you were seated. The Saturday before Easter Sunday is recognised as a Public Holiday in Victoria. I hope that this will not tarnish future visits as we hope you enjoyed the rest of your experience. If you would like to speak further, please contact me on 95340211 Joe - Assistant Venue Manager
Located inside and upstairs at the newly refurbished Espy, this Asian eatery is sensational!
Mya Tiger has two sittings (6.30 and 8.30) and you can book in advance online. There is a wonderful elegant cocktail bar in the adjoining room, perfect for a pre-dinner drink.
The restaurant has a great casual yet styled atmosphere and decor - plush flora carpet , velvet half-booth seating, and larger natural wood seating. The menu is excellent with lots of unusual and different things. Staff are very good at helping you narrow down your choices - they have seen and tried most items and know which are popular! Every single item we ordered was a winner. A great night out with friends.
Great food and service in a fantastic venue. Will definitely be back.
Wait staff had no idea what was going on. Food was good. Locals need a reliable eat ing experience. Please don’t cater for patrons who just want to tick that box!
But would make sure they check how long the table is available for!!! Sittings are too short if you are planning a lazy long lunch!
Excellent service, beautiful food, the setting was good and great value. our only complaint was the noise level, with a table of just 6 people it was impossible to have a group discussion. But we have been before and will go again.
Slightly disappointing. The food we had was great but very disappointed that the two dishes we wanted weren’t available. We were very much looking forward to the whole Duck and the meat platter. Neither were available. We were told this is because of our late booking. Had we been notified that this was likely to be the case, we would have cancelled our booking. As we were already there we were obliged to order other things on the menu. Basically disappointed because we had pre determined what we were going to order a week in advance and we were really looking forward to those items despite each of those dishes being $70 each. So our $300 bill became a $150 bill. We all missed out but what we did eat was good, just not what we had hyped ourselves up for.
Our first experince of dining at Mya Tiger was delightful. We were particularly appreciative of how the staff made sure our son, who is in a wheelchair, was accomodated. The food was sublime and the serive excellent.
The food was quite nice except it was cold
Staff asked us at least 10 times how it was I think was too much
We did want dessert but waiter never came back to get our order and we had to go to a show so we had to go
Very friendly staff, but one server was a bit slow and forgetful towards end of the lunch. Value for money wines was a pleasant surprise too
The room and service were great. The food was pretty good, but should be better for the price!
The food and service was simply outstanding! Dietary requirements were a non issue and every mouthful was mouth watering! The only thing we could talk about was how delicious everything was.
Thank you Mya Tiger. Cheers Richard Misso.
Great Service, Food was delicious and loved the share plates and Bao which were resonably priced. Staff very attentive and friendly and great vibe and backdrop as restaurant located on second level overlooking beautiful St Kilda Foreshore.
The most delicious food in a fabulous setting. Very friendly, efficient staff as well. Cannot get enough of this place!
Loved our lunch thank you, everything was great except maybe the meal could be served a little slower.
Was a bit rushed for so much delicious food.
Had some friends down from Sydney for the weekend and we started off the weekend with dinner Mya Tiger. Service was very friendly, food was delicious, and we really enjoyed ourselves! Thanks for a wonderful evening
We had a great dinner at My Tiger. We've gone with the set menu as we had a group of seven. We had a large table towards one end of the restaurant outside the kitchen, which provided some extra theatre. There was a good variety of food. The only criticism, was the few entres came out too close together. Once we requested to slow down a bit the rest of the meal was great. It was a busy night but the crew who looked after our table did a great job. We'll be sure to return. Good venue for all size groups.
Fabulous experience. Excellent food. Easily able to discern individual flavours.
Group booking so had the banquet- everyone was very happy- great Grenache on the list for good value as well - overall everyone thought it was great value
A lovely night out with friends at Mya Tiger. Service, ambience, vibe, cocktails and food all hit the mark! Loved loved it and will be a regular!
I went on a Monday night with my husband and daughter for my birthday. The venue is stunning and we were lucky to be seated in a booth. We arrived for a 6pm dinner. We were seated and were pretty much the only ones in the restaurant. There were a large number of staff and waited a long time before we actually got someones attention to take our drink and food order. The menu or dishes were not explained to us and when I asked a question about something the waitress was a bit rude and either didn't understand my question or Thought it was a stupid one. One of the dishes we received was wrong and the duck pancakes we ordered actually didn't get put through. We were pretty much finished our meal and again I had to get someones attention to order another drink. There were a few tables near us and I noticed they had dishes they sent back and had trouble ordering drinks. It was a real shame as it is the sort of place that warrants good food and service.
This is not s yes/no answer
Decor and ambiance is great, service and staff great but food was a little disappointing. Duck was over cooked as were the chicken ribs and the small shrimp dish but kingfish and dumplings were very good.
The banquet meal was average. A lot of deep fried food and not a lot of wholesome filling food. We also had to wait for nearly 20 minutes for our table to be ready which was disappointing
Joe’s a star
Ceviche could be a little bit more tropical
Fabulous. Great cocktails and food and really friendly helpful staff.
Great ambience, fabulous view, lots of choices of venues within the Espy (restaurants, bars, etc.), better than average service. Food is good, other than too many dishes are deep fried, they loose the flavour of the dish and simply becomes deep fried batter (prawn toast, eggplant, tofu, etc....)
Could be dinner in a light batter.
Overall good experience. Ben twice and have another booking. Enjoy!
Really poor unwelcoming service.
Felt like everything was an issue for these wait staff.
Food was ok, not awesome.
Great setting - such a missed opportunity.
Dumplings and wontons for entrée were lovely. Main course (beef) was over priced, chewy and tasted like a fairly average beef and black bean sauce from the local Chinese.
Service was pretty slow.
Had a cocktail to start, their famous mule. $18 and it was tiny and tasted like soft drink.
We were looking forward to eating here but unfortunately left disappointed.
We ordered the banquet- the choices that came out did not showcase the best on the menu. We had 2 duck pancakes and the pipis for the main.... no noodle or rice. One waitress couldn’t answer any questions about the food.
The décor & food was wonderful but felt we were being constantly interrupted by the waiter before we had finished a course. I am aware that there is a time frame but he was being a little too persistent however, he was very pleasant. The only down fall of the restaurant is the noise factor, this was my second visit here & had hoped this might have been rectified. Thank you
Fabulous table overlooking the bay. The banquet was delicious. I was given a complimentary glass of posseco for my birthday. We had a fabulous bottle of Ozzy wine with dinner. We moved to the bar to finish. We were very impressed. Will definitely be back again.
Food was very oily and nearly everything deep fried. No subtlety in the cooking - more like KFC than fine dining. Service was average but pleasant enough.
One of the best Cantonese food had in recent times. The fried chicken and the kingfish were one of the best. All the wait staff, and the The sous chef...thank you for the food and drinks. Geneva & Valentina made us really comfortable.
Hope to come here again.
Our waitress was nice but a bit too casual/un-trained, the hostess who was working the entry was really nice and gave off a great vibe. Didn't really like having to get my own beer from the fridge, but yeh i guess It's a novelty.
The ambiance/view was breathtaking, the food was just ok and what you would expect for the cost.
Excellent food and great service
