Musume is actually one of my fav places in Dallas. The food is so good always. The music is nice, the drinks are good and the service is good.
First time in Dallas, the food here was amazing I got the steam dumplings and the tempura shrimp roll! I wanted to eat there the next day I will definitely be going back! And the akai room was an amazing experience.
The food was phenomenal. Our server knew every item on the menu off the top of his head and was exceptional. The speakeasy was cool as well after dinner for a few drinks.
We had a reservation, but when we arrived (on time) they didn’t have a table ready for us and we had to wait. That was very frustrating, especially because we weren’t the only ones waiting, so the bar/waiting area at the front became very crowded and it was impossible to social distance. Once we were seated, the service was great and the food was excellent. Afterwards, we went to Akai, the speakeasy, and had a very different experience. We were horrified to find an extremely overcrowded lounge area with almost no seating available unless you chose bottle service, which made social distancing impossible. In fact, it was so crowded that sitting at the tiny table we were able to find, we were each touching people sitting next to and standing in front of us. The most egregious offense was that the servers and bartenders weren’t wearing masks - not a single one of them! We left quickly once it got full and it became apparent that no one working there cared about being covid safe. The food was excellent and the drinks were good (though way too strong and overpriced) but we will not be back anytime soon. If you’re at all concerned about the pandemic, stay far away!
One of my favorite restaurants in Dallas totally worth it
Everything was great except I didn't know that they allow vapes in the restaurant. I saw 3-4 parties vaping inside the restaurant and after about 30 min whole restaurant was smelling like vapes. I am sensitive to smoking and vapes so had I known earlier, I would have picked a different place.
Reasonably good value and great selection of sake. I will come back.
The food was excellent and the portion sizes were really large for the price point. I definitely didn't expect so much food. If you love sushi and fusion I highly recommend. It's not too loud and not too dark as some modern themed restaurants can be. Great for a nice date night.
Perfect place to go on a date, it’s romantic and offers a truly magical experience
We had the Omakase and it was wonderful! And Akai was a great way to end the evening.
Excellent food and staff! Will become a frequent visitor.
Food was wonderful and the staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you for the great service and amazing meal.
Our server Amanda was absolutely fantastic
Our waiter was amazing. The food was exceptional. We were a party of 6 and sampled several things on the menu. Nothing disappointed. We did a whiskey flight and our waiter gave us a great description of each. Make sure to get dessert - doesn’t matter which - we tried most of the menu - ALL Amazing.
NYE was little more crowded with not much emphasis on social distancing. This can be dangerous and spread the virus.
Excellent service from Taylor and delicious food-highly recommend!
Our waitress Taylor was AMAZING! Extremely attentive, very personable and just overall a great host. Too bad the manager wasn’t present to hear us rant and rave. THANKS TAYLOR. Exceptional service. Food was great. And my Remy Sidecar was YUM! Can’t wait to come back.
Great customer service, amazing food, even better drinks!!
Agh-Mazing!! Overall great experience and highly recommend for any event
My wife made a surprise reservation for our 5th year anniversary and Musume did not disappoint! We had such a wonderful time! The service was amazing! The food was great! And best of all, they truly made our anniversary dinner very special!
Khalil and company are awesome! Musume is the best place to hang in town. You have to try the creme brulee there! It's fantastic!
Loved Musume! So fun, lively and food was great! The Speakeasy was so cool too. We will be back. The owner was so personable too and made sure to visit each table. He even sat down with us to chat! Nice touch for sure.
The food and the ambiance were exceptional! Best in Dallas for its cuisine.
Harold was our server and made our whole experience so outstanding! Our group had the best time. Amazing food and amazing service
Our waiter was amazing and very knowledgeable about the menu. Whatever you do, do not pass up a chance to get the scallops and risotto in a uni and champagne reduction. WOW
Ambience is great and food is outstanding
My server Harold was excellent
Love love love
Family dinner with kids before seeing Christmas lights. Food was delicious, Waitress was friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go again
Fantastic food and experience
Anniversary dinner was insanely good. Just wow! We ate and drank 215 bucks of awesome and have zero complaints about any of the 5 dishes we had between the TWO of us. Yeah, it was that good we couldn’t stop.
Food was delicious and different than some of the other high quality Asian/sushi restaurants. Service at the beginning was stellar and then tapered off. We ordered some sashimi and specialty rolls and thought odd that we were asked if we wanted wasabi with it. Get the bill and was charged $3.00 for it. The nickel and diming was off-putting. Wasabi generally comes with sushi. Overall, the food and ambiance was good.
Amazing food, good service and the atmosphere was everything! Fabulous place to dine at.
This was our first time going. The food was wonderful. We will go back again.
LOVE this place.
Bit pricy but not bad overall. Great date spot overall.
The appetizers were pretty good. We got the dim sum and Gyoza pork as our appetizer, but the sushi was average at best. Considering the sushi cost $22 per roll, I was expecting far more. Ambience and service was great. Ultimately, you can't charge a premium price serving average food.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Musume has new ideas for menu items, not just the average choices you generally have, along with an extensive sake menu. Very pleased with the overall cost for the variety and quality of food and drinks served. Enjoyed the lively feeling inside the open dining area. A speak easy was being held later that night (I went on a Saturday). After my impressive first experience I will definitely return!
We celebrated a friend’s birthday at Musume. The service was incredible and the food was exceptional. We asked our waiter to pick everything and surprise us. Everything was delicious! Will definitely return soon.
Okay first thing most people will not mention is the absolute lack of parking for this restaurant. Next to it is a public garage that charges $5 FYI. We ordered 3 rolls. The Friday night roll, spider roll($17), and one other I can’t recall the name of ($20) The best roll was the Friday night roll $22. Service was wonderful and inviting. Apparently they have the largest selection of sake/ Japanese whiskey in Dallas. A bit pricey considering our total came out to $60 something bucks for three rolls - no drinks. We ate at 5:30 so it was completely empty so super quiet.
