From the OpenTable editors: Food & Wine Best New Chef Melissa Miranda is leading a new generation of Filipino food at Musang, serving up innovative takes on her childhood favorites. That means dishes like a Filipino bent to Caesar salad, mushroom sisig, and rich short rib kare kare, all of which led to several nominations for James Beard Awards. Locals love the cozy dining room inside the craftsman-style purple house, which spills out into a brick-lined back patio.

Everything was delicious! Cocktails are also superb. Top tier! The portions weren't as big as we are, so we ordered multiples of the same dishes like the pancit and Mackerel. They were very well done and we absolutely enjoyed them.

Our first trip to Musang and it was outstanding. Promptly seated, excellent service, and the food was delicious. Incredibly flavorful, high quality, and great textural combinations. We sat on the heated patio, which was a delight; nice ambiance and we weren't chilly at all! We're excited to return.

It was fine. The food was good but not memorable. The service was very friendly but our server didn't know how to pronounce some of the dishes which was surprising. they also charged another table’s bill to our card. To her credit they did fix the issue after we left but it was an unnecessary inconvenience. Overall- we had a nice evening but no need to go back.

Enjoyed the ambience and pulse. Food was okay, waiters were upbeat and friendly. I had two members of my party who where Filipino. They loved the lumpia. I am having a hard time understanding the 22% service charge and then being asked for a tip. I am a business person and a good tipper pending service. The bill asks for a tip amount or no tip. Very akward. The business should take care of its people and not try to charge the customer for paying a sustainable hourly wage, then split maybe the tip. Again, Took ask for a 22% service charge and then ask for a tip is unacceptable to most people. You should build in your overhead to your menu as the product adn the service should be as always subject to the quality of the service and the staff performance just like your food, has a value. I run retail businesses and create consumer prices on making a fair profit and offering a quality product. Waiters in higher ticket restaurants do well , way beyond Seattle minimum wage employees. they should not be in a position to explain a service charge plus suggesting extra tip is at customers choice. I am trying to be helpful and know this is not an easy business
