Mosconi Restaurant & Wine Bar
Named after a fine Northern Italian wine - Barolo Mosconi, the refined flavour and long heritage of its namesake Cru is reflected in both the food and the interior of our restaurant.
We serve modern European bistro fare in a cosy, welcoming setting. Head Chef Catherine Anders is no stranger to modern Italian fare with an impressive history including most notably the former Executive Chef of feted Il Centro. She has devised a small but robust menu that embraces the solo diners wanting a 'quick bite', but also people earning for a new consummate dining experience.
Poor attitude of staff was disappointing
Fabulous as usual!
The food once again exceeded our expectations.
When we arrived the restaurant and surrounding area had lost power. It was very busy but the staff did a wonderful job of handling the situation. The power came back on and we were promptly seated. Our meals were all delicious and look spectacular.
Everything was great except the wine list is sooo expensive!
Always delicious and brilliant service!! Highly recommended!
Over priced for what you actually get. Worth trying for special occasions. The waiter would often forget to fill up my glass of water.
Delicious Italian food, definitely returning to try more dishes.
Exceptional experience at Mosconi. Will certainly return!
Great food and service. Good selection of wine. Staff are friendly
The quail was delicious. I should have asked for a main serving. But I had room for an equally delicious chocolate dessert. Everything was lovely so thank you for looking after us so well. Greatly appreciated 🙏
The best in the Valley!
It is a must to experience dining at Mosconi's.
Food delicious, staff friendly & knowledgable & I love the neighbourhood casual atmosphere.
Great mains, best pannacotta, excellent drink suggestions (thankyou montenegro loving waitress)
Every bite is a dream
Excellent food and service. Our waiter provided high level of service at all times. Thank you 😊
Such a lovely spot to dine for a couple- everything has been thought through and executed perfectly
I ordered the prawn tagliatelle. Three prawns for $42. Surely you are kidding?
Mosconi's food and wine was first class. A great restaurant. The ambience was fantastic. Love it all
Delicious! Food and service was great, had an amazing night, thankyou
Date of visit: 29 August - 6:30pm
Went here on a Saturday night with a friend and as expected, it was really busy. I've read a lot of good reviews about the restaurant but I might need to try it again because I'm not impressed with the food and the overall service.
We were asked 5x by 3 different people if we want any drinks, this was in the first five minutes of our arrival. After that, we were asked multiple times if we were ready to order.
I decided to get the fish of the day and it was okay, good but not $42 good. Serving size was also good. I had margarita and the rim of the glass was not properly salted and I didn't taste the lemon. And, yes - I expect a lot from a $19 drink.
Lastly, we only ordered 1 sparkling water but was charged for two. We didn't inform the restaurant as we just wanted to leave. The sparkling water was $4/glass. FYI: We were not informed that the sparkling water costs extra, the guy just asked if we want some water and what type. Most of the restaurants/cafe offer it for free. I'm not sure if it was on the menu though - we should have checked.
Is it worth it? Like $60+? No.
Would I try it again? Yes - because I think they deserve all the good reviews and I want to give them another chance.
Would really appreciate if you can assign a waiter/ waitress per table so guests wouldn't feel rushed by being asked multiple times by multiple people.
Great food in an intimate atmosphere. We were seated downstairs next to the bar and the noise from upstairs was very loud. The service could have been better but wasn't bad. Veal Coteletta was a standout.
Great food and service with an excellent knowledge in wines. Highly recommended this restaurant. 11 out of 10
Great restaurant, authentic food presented beautifully, great wine list, rounded off by friendly helpful staff to add to the ambience and overall dining experience.
Exceptional as always!
Can’t fault it! Best pasta dish, great wine at reasonable price. Have already booked to return
Great place for a nice meal and wine with friends. Great service!
The best Italian I have had in Australia. Pasta dishes are incredible
The food and service is exceptional!
We dined upstairs at thisbeautiful simply elegant restaurant. The food was delicious, the staff attentive and professional, just the was a restaurant should be.
Great little restaurant with a modern Italian vibe.
More meat than sauce in Ragu (I left half of it).
Fish of the day fantastic, as was the bread. Smoked butter was very subtlety smoked, could have done with a bit more.
Coffee was cold although ’hot’ was requested .... I suspect the cup was cold and absorbed any heat.
Service was good
Faultless from start to finish ! Amazing menu and wine list, will definately be back
Best Italian food we’ve had in Brisbane. The crab ravioli and bug risotto special were my favourites. Highly recommend Mosconi.
Beautiful food and wine, lovely restaurant, great service! Would definitely recommend and be back.
The wine list was averaged and all way overpriced.
Great menu and quality of the meals was exceptional.
In the fine tradition of Vine before it, the food is a treat, the wine superb, and the service friendly and efficient. A local gem.
Steak tartare is perfection! Great little bistro in buzzy New Farm
Food and service was good. Had booked a table inside but given a table outside.
An absolute delight to dine at Mosconi. The atmosphere was wonderful, with extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there and most certainly will not forget to incredible food!
The service is always superb and the new menu Delicious...
