Thanks for a really great evening. First time I've been back since the latest remodel. The place looks great. Food and service definitely top tier.
I loved the Dc location so much but indoor dining is not allowed at the moment so we decided to try the Arlington location. It took almost two hours to get food and once we finally got the food it was warm as if it had been sitting. The ambience was beautiful and they did have a big party, however we could hear other tables complaining. I hope to come back one day with a better experience.
The reservation began with the host informing us “we have no place for your jackets” which then we were escorted to the bar as we waited 15 minutes past our reservation when the restaurant had plenty of open tables.
We arrived to our table where there were black stains on the table cloth. The floors looked as if they had not been cleaned in a week.
The wait staff was kind but inattentive. Multiple times we attempted to gain the waiter’s attention and weren’t visited for a time of about 25 minutes.
The food was okay but the Brussels sprout appetizer was soggy and bland. The filets seemed frozen and not well seasoned. For Morton’s price we received an Outback or Chili’s quality.
I would not recommend to friends or family and I hope management does turn things around.
We had 2 tables get up and walk out without paying sitting near us. They cursed at the GM and it was horrible to behold. Just terrible.
The service was excellent! Thanks.
Anniversary
Asia was great as was the entire Morton’s team. Pork chop was excellent as always. Oysters were amazing. A delightful evening.
Fantastic as always.
Terrific food and great service with Aysia. Morton's remains the best of the steak chains.
The food came out late and cold twice you should not serve stack cold
Dinner was very good. The lobster Mac & cheese was cooked a little too long but it was still enjoyable. The truffle fries weren’t the best. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Our server did a pretty good job of making sure all of our needs were met.
We arrived 5 minutes early and was not seated until 30 minutes after scheduled reservation.
We ordered a bottle of champagne but waited nearly 30 minutes to receive it, because they had not been ‘chilled’... and then we were pressed several times to finish due to restrictions.
Our waitress was pleasant, but seemed overwhelmed. She told us she was from restaurant in DC but came over to help? Considering all things going on pandemic, this is understood but also concerning.
Silver lining was the lady Manager who pleasantly checked on us regularly and accommodated best she could so that we could finish up our celebratory drinks and as always, the exceptional food, the real reason I often choose Morton’s.
We waited a hour to be seated and got our drinks snatched
Excellent steak dinner. Hotel restaurant closed.
Fast service, and the food was delightful. The sides complemented the steak extremely well and the lobster Mac n cheese was amazing. My NY strip was cooked perfectly... the Cajun ribeye was seasoned perfectly, but came slightly over cooked.. more medium well, then medium rare, but still juicy and flavorful. Felt comfortable with spacing and seating given the current climate.
Our server Asia was fantastic. But service aside, the food quality, temperature (overcooked) and presentation were not on par with the prices. Does not compare to Bobby Van's downtown or Oak in Old Town. I would give it another try as maybe we had an off-night but not very memorable (except for the service).
We arrived and was asked to sit at the bar or stand in their waiting area until our table was ready. You can only occupy the bar area if you're ordering drinks, my boyfriend and I had a round of drinks but after waiting an hour after our reservation we just decided to eat at the bar.
The entrees took forever to come, but my cesar salad and crab cake appetizers came out as expected, which was soooo good. The bartend was nice and made great suggestions to drinks and food selections
my boyfriend never got his entree and neither did I so we took it to go when they finally decided to bring it out.
The atmosphere and food was great even at home but the service was subpar.
Food was served cold, my steak had great flavor but was cold. It took an hour for us to get our food after we ordered.
Great service and observance of COVID restrictions.
The food was good, however for an upscale restaurant the overall experience was subpar. The server was pleasant, also new and not very familiar with the restaurant. I would think someone would have been helping him. The manager was out and about and went to other tables, never came to our table. Our steaks were brought to us and the sides almost 5 minutes later. NOTHING we had was hot. It was an average experience, I was disappointed for the price point.
Food was excellent, although selection was limited for some reason. A few basic menu items were not available even though we were the first patrons being served that night. What was available was perfectly prepared and delicious. Prices were a bit steep but well worth it for very special occasions.
Sigh, where do I begin. There were a total of 5 of us. Our waiter advised us it was his 3rd day, cool no problem. Time went on and it showed so bad... drinks took forever to come out, he dropped a glass of ice cold water on my friend (not really a big deal cause it was just water, thank God and his 3rd day).. the host came running over just to give an extra napkin, only!
Then, 2 of us ordered medium well steak that was extremely pink inside, had to send that back; keep in mind we arrived at 4:04pm which is the time they open and not a soul was inside at that time, but we waited sooooo long for our food. So many other little things after that and everyone just felt for the level of restaurant we chose, we should not have went through all the problems we encountered. Nothing was ever comp’d for the struggle we had at this dinner. The manager eventually came out and attempted to make it right but by then the damaged was pretty much done. Waiter (Marcus) was not bad as a person he just shouldn’t have been assigned to a party of 5 so early with little experience of beverages/food and little knowledge of handling a semi-big party. We won’t be visiting this location again, but we won’t give up on Morton’s overall.
Our reservation was at 7 pm. Upon arrival we were told it would be 30 minutes until we would be seated. We were told to stand in an alcove. Fortunately a high top opened up at the bar and 3 of the 5 of us could sit and have a drink while we waited. We were seated at 7:45 and told that food would take 45 minutes to come out. Our server was pleasant enough but not very attentive and noticeably stressed. The restaurant did not feel like it was paying any attention, other than masks, to any sort of Covid safety plan. There were people in the booth right next to ours with no sort of partition. The food was amazing, as it should be for the price, but it didn't arrive until 9:45, almost three hours after our reservation and 15 minutes before alcohol could not longer be consumed. We had just gotten a second bottle of wine and had to gulp it to finish it. It was meant to be part of our meal. Eating our meal lasted longer than the time we had to enjoy our lovely bottle of wine... We ate there on Christmas night two years ago and had a perfect night. I would not recommend Morton's in Arlington to any one until dining resumes as it was before the pandemic. We have already decided that we will go to Ruth's Chris next year.
We had reservations for dinner on Christmas day. We had to wait for 30 minutes to be seated - and I am a Landry's select member. We waited 3 hours for our entrees and I finally asked for the food to be boxed up. Unfortunately when we got it home we discovered that the meats were raw. By that time it was almost 10pm and so we put the food away to continue cooking the following day. Considering our bill was $190 for two people, which didn't include dessert or the tip, the experience was terrible. The only good part about it was that our server, Metasebia, was great, but after three hours even she couldn't salvage the evening. Never again.
Dont do during Covid. Or maybe I'm trying to justify the reason for the horrible service. Our waiter Thomas was great. But to get to him was just not acceptable.
We have always enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner at Morton's especially the Crystal City VA location and after two years closure for building redevelopment fantastic to have it back. Service was excellent as was the meal!
Morton's is our go-to steakhouse a few times a year, when the craving for perfect steak hits us. Unlike other restaurants whose quality has diminished during the pandemic, Morton's still serves up its marbled steaks cooked to perfection. During our most recent visit, we did find the ambience to be somewhat lacking (the lights were on full strength, and the dimmer was not working, apparently; the music choice was curious and a bit loud). That said, the rib eye steaks, shrimp Alexander, and creamed spinach were scrumptious. We commend the staff for doing an outstanding job during this difficult time, and we'll continue to support Morton's as we have for the past 13 years.
Service was terrible.. the Waitress never came to check on us, our food was 2 hr late. The waitress tried to charge us triple the amount of the bill.
Impeccable service, great food, amazing drinks!
Great to see Morton’s in Arlington back in business!! High quality meal all around.
The last time I dined at this Mortons was Christmas Eve 2018 - shortly before they closed for nearly 2 years of renovations. I was SO glad to be back. The ambience, the service, the food - all were perfect. And I chose an early time - 4:30 on a weekday - to ensure it would not be crowded. I felt as if I had the whole restaurant to myself, and I felt very safe as a result. Also my server was amazing - she didn't hover but she was attentive when I needed her to be - a perfect balance between the two extremes.
Drinks were overpriced food options are very limited and service was very slow
Always a great experience, with outstanding staff and food.
VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE, ALTHOUGH I FELT WE WERE A LITTLE RUSHED THROUGH OUR MEAL.
The overall experience was less than I expected. The ambiance was nice, but everything else was just ok. My steak (cajun ribeye) was slightly undercooked and chewy. The wait staff for my visit were what you'd expect - courteous and efficient. Three steaks, two shared sides, two cocktails and the bill with tip was nearly $400. I won't be returning, I can find better value at the numerous other steakhouses in the area.
It is our date night dining experience.
The waiter was not good. He had trouble listening About my vip points
It was my anniversary and Mortons staff towas k really great care about f me. They made sure the table was decorated and the food was cooked to perfection. The customer service was beyond perfect and both my wife and I had a great time. Thank you Mortons!!!!!
Good service and good wine.
Food was average & not up to Morton's standard!!(!
