Moo Moo Restaurant Group founders, Steven & Autumn Adams, bought their upmarket steak restaurant concept to Brisbane after 5 successful years on the Gold Coast gaining many awards and accolades.
Expansion to Brisbane was a natural fit for the group and when approached by Stamford Hotels to take over the space formally occupied by long standing restaurant Siggis, Steven jumped at the chance to move into one of Brisbane’s most historic buildings. A multimillion dollar renovation commenced bringing the building back to life and opening up previously unused balconies.

The service was slightly slow on that night. It took around 10 minutes when we asked for a dessert menu. After we finished our dessert, we asked for the bill, it took around 10 minutes again then only they give us the bill.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Moo Moo's. Food was superb with excellent service to complement the meal
My son gave us advice about the Moo Moo dining experience and we will certainly come to Moo Moo's again. All of our meals were excellent, the steaks were 'on point' and being able to dine out on the verandah increased the ambience of this experience.
Moo Moos is a must every time I go to Brisbane on business. I would not usually order steak in a restaurant but this is one place I would only order steak. I did not realise there were so many options when it comes to cuts of beef!! There are other options on the menu also. The steak is the most tender I have ever eaten. Staff are friendly and so attentive.
A beautiful environment, great for special occasions and business dinners Could not recommend more highly. Not the cheapest steak restaurant but certainly worth the money.
I have been here 4 times previously, and when I went last weekend I have never been so disappointed. Every time I have been previously it was with ‘older’ people being parents. This time we went it was my partner and I and we are in our twenties, and my goodness what a difference in treatment we got. We were treated by our waitress as if we couldn’t afford to be there, even being told ‘this is a more premium price range’, specials weren’t told to us, my napkin was thrown in my lap and wasn’t undone like normal.
Then to top it off, and by far the most disappointing part of our experience, I paid for a rump steak that my knife couldn’t even cut through, and when I’ve normally been the knife went trough the meat like butter. It was served on a white plate, while literally every other steak that we saw was brought out on a black slate (which is normally how its presented). I have had far better steaks from my local tavern and didn’t pay nearly as much for it. This used to be my favourite restaurant, but clearly only the ‘premium’ treatment is brought out to clients who look rich enough to afford it.
This was the most overpriced, disappointing meal I’ve had in a very long time, and it is not how you want to spend a birthday dinner. Staff should be reminded that no matter what you may perceive, the people dining in your restaurant are paying their wages just as much as the millionaire two tables down.

Absolutely loved the food, the atmosphere and the staff were fantastic. The place just spoke class from the moment we walked in the door... and the food was to die for. Will definitely be recommending to our friends and family.

Went for our anniversary and was very impressed! Thea, our waitress was amazing and went out of her way to make sure we each picked the perfect cut. And the steaks did not disappoint!
From start to finish was an amazing experience, my first time dining at the Brisbane location and had high expectations from the Gold Coast restaurant however they were surpassed. Was celebrating an anniversary with my partner who had never been and she was extremely impressed. Great conversation with the wait staff and amazing service all around. The food was wonderful and the location perfect for a date night. Will definitely be coming back.

Unfortunately the food let it down! The steak was a little over cooked but tasted great. The bread wasn't fresh and the side of greens just did not work.
As always a superb meal with all the trimmings. Our steak did not disappoint & our sides were delicious. Great wine list

I'm just comparing between the two branches. Foods still good but service is a bit lacking. Gold coast branch is better for both. I'd say the layout may be a big contributor.

The food was overall really good, the steaks were cooked to perfection.
The food wine and service were exceptional. Pricey but still well worth it an value for money. It's primarily a steak restaurant and the selection of steaks was spectacular and well explained .

Booked a table for myself and my partner at 8:15pm Saturday 18th of August 2018, sitting outside. Unfortunately I can not remember the waiters name (I’m shocking with names plus the wine was very good) but he gave great service and was extremely knowledgeable about the food and especially the wine. My partner and I were extremely impressed with how he dealt with two rude woman sitting behind us. 10/10 to him, made the experience very enjoyable and on top of that the food was amazing!!

All four in our group enjoyed the excellent steaks and sides. Service was outstanding, very attentive without being intrusive. Was very quiet for lunch on Saturday which meant the noise level was not a problem.
Steak was most disappointing. At over $70 it was chewy and when asked for medium (specified no running blood) waiter said OK but when steak arrived I was then told that the steak was medium and if I had wanted no running blood I should have asked for Well done, no comment about the burn on the outside. I ate it but my wife's steak was almost Blue so she requested that it be cooked further so waiter came a scrapped it off her plate and had it cooked again. Surely a specialised steak house should know how to cook steak. Wine list was long but I don't believe any quality control was done. $30 for a 150 ml glass which tasted the same as one from an $8 bottle.

The food is exceptional, service was great too. While moo moos is a little on the high end of the price range, I can honestly say it’s worth it. The staff are so friendly and it only adds to the feel of the place. Would highly recommend it.

Fine steaks. Wine list is very good. Takes a while for steaks to arrive. Ate on balcony with heater nearby; comfortable. 3 for dinner. Had two entrees and 3 steaks. 2 desserts. Bill was $445 plus a $50 tip. My wife and I would likely dine at Moo Moo about once or twice annually if we lived in Brisbane. We would definitely return.

A great night out for a special occasion. All food was fantastic. Steak, sides, scallops, deserts. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and we didn't feel rushed. Would definitely recommend.
They said the wagyu eye fillet was voted the best steak in the world and, after eating it, I believe them. It was awesome.
We found this restaurant way over priced especially the steak. The waitress seemed disinterested and didn't give us the wine list, she just said, 'we have lots of Sauv's" and so I got one I disliked!
Atmosphere was good quiet and music good.
We had a rump cap and eye fillet board and a Jacks Creek eye fillet from the specials list, combined with wagyu fat cooked potatoes and veg. Everything was perfect however I’d probably just order two Jacks Creek eye fillets next time as they are a standout. Creme Brûlée was special. Service was excellent, thank you
I went to Moo Moo as my last dinner on my first vacation to Australia. I have always been a fan of quality steak; after previously trying some 7+ marble grade beef at a Korean BBQ, I made a reservation at Moo Moo to try a whole Waygu steak. We arrived half an hour early after shopping in the CBD and the host was able to push us to an available table with no issue.
After sitting down, we were given a complimentary sample of Waygu tartar and a description of the night's specialty cuts. I settled on a 9+ marble grade rump while my SO picked a 7+ grade rump cap, with sides of seasonal greens and fried potatoes to share between us. I do not exaggerate when I say that my steak was the most delicious beef I have ever tasted, with my SO's cut being a close second. Throughout the meal, our waiter was very attentive and welcoming. A shared dessert made to order wrapped up the best experience I had during my trip. The bill was extremely reasonable for the quality of the meal, and our service was so outstanding that I insisted on leaving a gratuity for the waiter. The only downside to the entire meal was that it took about two hours for two main dishes and dessert. Everything was obviously made to order, so I can't fault the restaurant or the kitchen to being dedicated to top quality. Just keep the time in mind if you go with other plans for later in the night.
I would recommend this restaurant for anyone that is specifically seeking out quality steak.

Exceeded my expectations on every level. Quality, not pretentious, the staff were really great and the food was brilliant. Winters afternoon, on the veranda, under the jacaranda trees - perfect.
