intimacy for a world of luxury inside; white tablecloths, silver cutlery, rich timbers and a well-stocked bar are all redolent of a charming Parisian brasserie and perceptive waitstaff are attentive in fulfilling culinary desires.”
Stepping into Montrachet is like stepping into a Parisian bistro. From the burgundy leather banquet that runs the length of the room, to the marble comptoir (bar) Montrachet oozes elegance and charm. Traditional overtones and design are accompanied by Laguiole cutlery, monogrammed crockery and glassware and a well stocked bar. French antiques, metal pastis signs and gilt framed mirrors create an ambience perfectly complimentary to the French cuisine Montrachet is famous for.

That day was my brithday, Very good food and services, but too noise....and i dont know how and where to pay tips..sorry.
We have been patrons of Montrachet for a long time but hadn't yet tried the new venue in Bowen Hills. Well done to the team, the move is a complete success and we had a wonderful evening. Highly recommend.
Well appointed restaurant with attentive and helpful staff. We had the 7 course degustation menu and we could not fault the food for quality, presentation and taste. This was very well done. Some of the wine pairings were not good matches but overall the meal was great. Would definitely recommend and would go again but would choose my own wines rather than the set pairings. Each of the wines offered were in themselves good. Just not the best match.
Well lit, a little bit too bright. Tables are very close to each other so that takes a toll on privacy and noise level. Food was great, mains were perfectly cooked. Service was warm and welcoming. Waiter explained the menu well, it was just a bit hard to hear due to background noise.
Best birthday celebration 🎉 food incredible plus amazing service
Our Valentines Day dinner was excellent, but so is every single other evening we dine here. Montrachet is without doubt our favorite fine dining restaurant in Brisbane. Shannon and Claire continue to offer the highest standard of the best French cuisine and an exceptional dining experience.
Everything was perfect except for the lighting. Needs to be dimmed as it really affects the ambience. The music could also be improved (perhaps something French?) to improve ambience.
The food, wine and service were all lovely - everything was great but lacking on ambience.
I thought the food was very good. Unfortunately we chose to sit at the bar as we quite often do and usually really like the european experience. However, this bar sitting really was very bad choice. Emptying dishwashers, cleaning rags on counter etc. - just a bar that shouldn't really be used for anything but serving drinks.
We had a brilliant meal with everything just about perfect. Service was very good. All in all a great night.
We unfortunately dined on a very hot night. The AC was struggling and it was SO hot. We had to leave after our meal.We were also seated so close to people next to us, we didn't feel we could talk privately. Which was a shame, it was a special date night and we had lots to discuss... Sadly we didn't get to chat much. Food was outstanding!
Overall excellent experience, surpassed expectations relative to recent Michelin experience in Singapore
Great.... a little bit warm.. have to go outside to go to shared bathrooms and not at same level as restaurant.
We had the degustastion menu, 4 course with matching wines and it was delicious, and almost too much to eat at lunch. The starters were outstanding, the main - duck this time, lamb on an earlier visit- was very good but a lot to get through. This time the dessert-opera cake-was a bit too sweet, though the accompanying sweet wine was lovely. Excellent service, especially from the chief server, and a friendly atmosphere. A bit noisy with a large table nearby but basically no complaints and we will go again.
As long as friends are NOT hard of hearing it's great. Early is good, people enjoying themselves will create noise so the noise is a good sign in one way. ...the noise level rose during the evening. Service was excellent....food was great altho disappointed with the crab soufflé. ... a trifle heavy! My two entrées were lovely...perhaps a touch toomuch oil on the carpaccio ....altogether a most enjoyable evening.
Thank you for making it so.
The food and service was impeccable, and the ambience was fantastic. Would definitely dine here again.
Always outstanding. Tanya is so warm and professional.
The food was fantastic and the service impeccable. The creme brûlée was superb and we will definitely be returning very soon.
Service was excellent. The food was good but not as good as it has been there.
if only the magnificent cheese souffle didn't burn the roof of your mouth! If it wasn't so delicious it would be easier....
I was looking forward to my Montrachet experience with such anticipation and the food did not disappoint. In one word -
Divine, so very good, from the delicate crab and gruyere souffle served with the sublime bisque, the Margaret River duck that is just so delightfully melt in the mouth and flavorful.... could not fault the food at all. What was disappointing for us was the atmosphere, so desperately loud my husband and I could not comfortably converse with each other, the din left us spinning. We were also on the closest table to the kitchen, which is where my husband got his entertainment from as he got to watch the team work to build our beautiful food, I had my back to the kitchen but had a birds eye view of the pot wash every time I did look to my right. We will always look back on the meal with great fondness, unfortunately the atmosphere will most likely prevent a second visit, a very difficult call too make when the food was just so brilliant.
Excellent in all areas, food was fabulous and very personable service.
I had waited 12 years to dine at this establishment and it did not disappoint. Superb food, wines, staff, service and ambiance. Perfect lunch with my husband.
Food and service 10/10 as usual. Chef knows how to combine unexpected flavours to make a dish that works every time.
We found the friendly and very knowledgeable service to be very welcoming. The decor and ambiance is special. The menu choices make it very difficult to choose a dish, so we will definitely be back to try some more dishes. Unfortunately we had a large birthday party next to us which was very noisy but this does not deter us from dining here again.
The food, the wine, the atmosphere, the service... by far the best restaurant in Brisbane.
A great dining experience. Absolutely everything was perfect from the seating, noise level, to the superb service and amazing food. I can't wait to go back.
The service and food at Montrachet was nothing less than outstanding. The service was both professional and attentive, but not intrusive. The food was superb and well presented. The restaurant had a nice ambiance. The only fault I could identify was the dining tables are in close proximity to each other, thus you can hear the conversation of those people surrounding you, and visa versa. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Our time spent at Montrachet Bowen Hills was splendid and surprising cheap. Definitely going again.
Lovely dinner was had. Attention to detail was amazing.
Still the best restaurant in Brisbane. Love Montrachet; perfect all round
If you take people there like I did that haven't had a French experience before and come out saying that was fantastic, then this is a great restaurant. 5 days later they are still talking about it.
Sensational. Feels like I'm back in Paris! Absolutely loved your Kir Royale and your blue vein cheese.
Staff were wonderful, food was soulful and delicious, wine list exquisite
We had the Saturday night 5 course degustation. The food was delicious with interesting twists which you expect from Montrachet. We have previously dined when at Paddington and the move has enhanced the experience. The new fitout is brilliant with reminders of the old establishment. The service was first class, professional yet friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
It was a most enjoyable anniversary dinner. We will be back and will recommend it as a special place to dine in Brisbane.
We went to Montrachet to celebrate a birthday. The food was outstanding as was the wine. The service could have been a bit better, we were left for sometime without being offered a drink when we initially arrived, however the service improved as the evening went on.
My wife and I, visiting from interstate, enjoyed a memorable meal at Montrachet: fine dining at its best; wonderful ambience; superb service. We had often dined at Montrachet - in its former ‘home’ in Paddington - when we lived in Brisbane up until 2 years ago. We are happy that it’s standards have not slipped one iota and it has certainly ‘settled’ into its new home on King Street. In our opinion Montrachet is one of the finest restaurants in Australia - and we’ve dined at quite a few of them. While it is not ‘cheap’ it provides exceptional value for money.
Excellent restaurant, the food was superb and the service just right. Really interesting menu of 5 tasting plates with matching wines, the choices were varied and the wines so delicious. Not a cheap night, but very special and highly recommended. Even better than when it was at Paddington.
The food , service & venue were excellent . I would highly recommend your restaurant to my friends and we will return.
What an awesome special Occasion Restaurant!
Just as good as 18 months ago in the former location
Fantastic service, delicious food, excellent experience
