A booming suburban pub hidden in a back street of Seddon. Perfect service, friendly efficient and attention to detail from the team. Beautiful wine list. They have Tolpuddle wine and some wine available via Coravin argon gas system. We were there yesterday for the first time. Special on Thursday is Steak night. Delicious well seasoned and cooked Poterhouse, chips, salad and Bearnaise sauce for a great value of money. Will return for sure.

My favourite local pub! Absolutely delicious food every time! Our table left talking about the lamb meatballs entree!! This is our new favourite dish can’t wait to dine again soon.

Fabulous neighbourhood pub serving great food and wines. The night we atend it was slammed with guests for the football game and there was simply not enough staff on to provide the appropriate service. Will be back but please put on more staff

We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, and once we chose our table they gave us menus and explained they would take our order when we were ready and to give them a wave and they would come over. There was no hovering or guessing they simply came over when we waved, explained things on the menu, were happy to modify one of the meals and bring extra gravy, so delicious you have to try! Meals were brought over in a very reasonable time and while there they noticed empty glasses and asked if they could bring some more drinks over. Honestly the level of service was exceptional and friendly, the value for money was also excellent and the atmosphere while quiet on the day can be noisy when full we were told, but there is a dedicated dining room with open fire, and dining in the bar as well as a beer garden outside, and considering the quiet streets is a tranquil place to relax and enjoy a drink and food. Highly recommended.

Thanks as always to the Mona castle! The food - delicious! Staff - so friendly! It’s always great and it’s now so fun that we always get the same table! Thanks for making my daughter’s birthday 5th birthday at the pub just what she wanted!

Service and warm welcome was lovely, the eggplant Parma was ok but not great and raw red onion is not that appetising on the salad. I also think telling people as they are being seated that they have to be out by 7:30pm is not ideal, doesn’t make you feel that great from the outset, perhaps telling people an hour in that they need to be done by 7:30pm would be better counter service in IMO. Definitely love this local pub and will be back but will order something else next time Cheers Nell
