Momofuku Seiōbo serves a tasting menu for $185 per person for dinner Monday to Saturday.

We also serve a 4-course Friday lunch menu during the month of December.

Executive Chef Paul Carmichael draws inspiration from his Caribbean heritage and the bounty of Australian ingredients.

Momofuku Seiōbo has two hats from The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide, and was awarded Restaurant of the Year 2017 by Gourmet Traveller Magazine.

Momofuku Seiōbo is part of the Momofuku Group with restaurants in New York, Toronto, Washington DC, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

This is one of our favourite locations to visit. More than the food and drinks, which are excellent although some dishes were a touch too salty, it is the exceptional and friendly service that makes this one of my favourite Sydney restaurants.

Simply outstanding! Interesting and unique Caribbean influenced dishes prepared directly in front of you. Each dish introduced by the chef that prepared it. Recommend the “wine pairings” prepared and introduced by a very knowledgeable and passionate sommelier. 10 out of 10!

Hit and Miss

It's been a long time waiting experience to eat here however, the overall experience left me wondering, really - was it worth it.
A stand out was the finale dish with the maron by far.
The scene was set with a range of chefs coming out to present and explain dishes which I found mostly enticing. I couldn't understand our main waitress and her presentation of the pairing wine list was disappointing. This was a $100 not well spent.
Some chefs came out enthused and engaging, whilst others (and one in particular who brought the initial mortar and pestle bowls out) had a scowl on her face and not eye contact.
I think the food was good, the presentation was okay (I didn't agree with a lot of dishes they used to present the cuisine).
Overall a nice experience but one you wouldn't brag about or even refer as a must whilst in Sydney.

We went for our wedding anniversary and had a table with a view of the kitchen. Everything was outstanding we had the 10 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Kitchen team was fantastic and Max was wonderful with the wine pairing. Highly recommended and and reasonable prices e for such a high quality experience.

A delicious degustation menu with flavours from the Caribbean and that were new to us. As sometimes happens with a degustation meal we didn't love every course (in particular the main dessert of a variant of pumpkin pie was underwhelming) but most courses were a surprise and delight.

Worst tasting menu I’ve ever had in my whole life!
Beverages are nasty tasting and some of the dishes as well are well below average restaurants.
Kitchen is too young and wait staff lack etiquette.
Save your money and go somewhere else. Anywhere else!

The food was absolutely delicious!! The flavours were unreal and we loved how the chefs and waitresses explained each dish along with how to eat it. We were surprised by the outstanding service we received along with the attention to detail on everything. We’ve been to many restaurants but Momofuku Seiōbo is definitely worth spending the money on as the experience was incredible!!!

One of my favorite fine dining experiences for quite some time. Im not that huge on all things seafood, in fact i was a little worried, but Momofuku delivered in such a way that i enjoyed every dish, with the presence of the Caribbean in every course, they really took you to exotic places. With great service and a decent wine selection, it really is a must.

The service was outstanding. The food was hit and miss. Some of the dishes were over constructed and lost their intention. Some dishes had extremely odd textures and other dishes were absolutely outstanding. For 3 people it was over $800 with the beverage pairing. For that much money I would expect the entire experience be truly excellent. Disappointing at best.

Technically brilliant, thematically adventurous and boasting a diverse array of intriguing ingredients, this is a fantastic and unique culinary delight. The cost is extravagant, but it's just about justified. An essential experience for the aspiring Sydney foodie.

This a place for a very different dining experience as it's food you haven't tried before. Great value as there are so many courses and all prepared right before you while you wait. Terrific service and all the food was wonderfully presented. Only downside for me was that some courses had combined ingredients that didn't work for me and seemed to be more of an experiment on a new recipe where I prefer a less complicated dish. All in all it was a lovely night.

An enormous amount of time & effort went into the 10 course degustation dinner. Presentation & portion sizes range from fair to good. But the flavours just don't seem to work into any "wow" moment. Each course is just some random dish from some far flung part of the world with just interesting flavours & textures - not incredible textures & flavours. Ultimately, the dinner doesn't accumulate in a crescendo. Huge effort & skill, but needs more direction & intensity. Accompanied wines suffered the same fate. Service though is excellent, ready for a short friendly chat.

4 hrs for a dining is exhausted! This is our second time dine in momofuku. I strongly suggest to change your dessert. For the pumpkin dessert. My partner and I only ate the pumpkin seed. The rest of it taste nothing but overly sweet.

We booked a table at Momofuku with really high expectations. This is reasonable given the prestigious 3 chef hats it was awarded by the good food guide.
The food service is a set degustation menu which was comprised of at least 10 individual plates. 8 of these courses were delicious in my view. 1 was average and 1 (the passion fruit and crushed ice pre-desert) was not to my palate at all. We are all different though!
The $105 full pairing beverages was a real let down. I think customers should be advised that this is not all wine before ordering. I did not think much of serving 2 drinks at once (a Sparkling wine and a cider) with a comment of “these two have to last you 3 courses”, this is not a pairing. I appreciate on a ‘wine flight’ that it is customary to only serve a taste, 30mls or so. However, for my money, 30mls if cider is a bit of a con.
Without a doubt, Momofuku served special food with good service (serving staff could slow down slightly when presenting the food). It just failed to live up to the ‘bells and whistles’ that a 3 hat restaurant should demand.
