Lovely dining experience however music was quite loud and drink portions felt a little bit conservative.

Such an incredible experience, and the food was outstanding.
Plenty of good things but cancelled out by the bad. A bar that cannot make even the most basic cocktails, music much too loud, food coming much too fast to be enjoyed, white wine left to go warm as 5 glasses served at once, some of the wines undrinkable, kitchen refused to give us the tools to extract the meat from the maron such that much of it was wasted. Also it might sound funky to have no menu but it is actually a pretty stupid idea. I was unable to eat either of my deserts nor one of the other dishes due to ingredients that I strongly dislike. Had there been a menu I could have identified this and come to arrangement as you can everywhere else. Being 'presented' with the menu at the end of the night (so it had been available the whole time) was particularly galling.

Our experience at Momofuku Seiobo was exceptional. We felt welcomed the moment we walked through the door and were greeted by Maie who guided us to our seat at the kitchen bar. Every staff member was personable, friendly and attentative.
Aside from the exceptional service from both floor and kitchen staff, what really was the defining moment of the night was the food. It was unique and memorable.
There were so many layers to the experience including the interaction and personable conversations with chefs as they brought over and explained each course. It was a refreshing and welcomed experience to be able to have conversations with chefs such a Nancy as they are hard at work.
It is lovely to see what is clearly a positive work environment for each member. Each section works flawlessly together!!
I have not been able to stop talking about the night with family and friends and am looking forward to my next experience with Momofuku Seiobo.
Very good but didn't worth the money. The portions were very small and I thought it would be better compared to the others 2 hatted and 1 hatted restaurant I have been.
It was nice food but I wouldn't go again for the price.
We did the tasting menu and full accompanied wine. We could not hear the staff explain the food. The food when it came out was present well but had no wow factor to with flavour. I also do not think the wines were paired well the balance was off.
At best the food was pub quality and not worth $642.
For the second best restaurant in Australia I am totally shocked. Some one must be paying off the food critics.
When trying to find the restaurant star casino staff had not even heard of the restaurant. The restaurant also has no signage. So you just walk straight past it.
Dave do not know what your thinking. Maybe you are to comfortable where your at.

The early tasting dishes were fantastic. Think the curry crab and the marron lost some taste intentions. Sauce for marron too spicy for the delicate flesh, in my opinion.
Very casual, staff not engaged, their shirts had stains on them and were old (off white, pilling in the fabric), food ok staff were going through motions. Also found the menu like a left over from Xmas or thanksgiving - Christmas pudding flavoured desserts and a pumpkin pie?? Not worth the price we were charged have had much better experiences in Sydney and Melbourne for less $$$
We had the ten course tasting menu with wine pairing - would highly recommend.

Everything was fantastic. The attention to detail on the dishes, the quality of the food, the impeccable service, and the quality of the entire experience. The restaurant had even made my partner a single serve birthday cake for her birthday, and wrote her a nice card.
Very unique place to eat with food from different origins (Jamaica, Barbados etc). Chefs explain each dish and you get to interact with the food. Food was very tasty and servers were very attentive.
Easily one of Sydney’s best. Paul, head chef, is a really laid back & friendly guy. He came over & had a chat as it was our second time eating here.

Food was bland at the start but there was a build up with flavors in the end. The pumpkin dessert and the birthday coconut dessert was the highlight of the whole course. Probably the best desserts I ever had. Found a piece of hair on the lobster but issue was rectified by replacing a new lobster in 10 mins. It was good and pleasant experience.
they made my birthday very special. the tasting menu transported me to another place and the cocktails were singular and intriguing. by the end of the night, i felt like part of their family and this is more than any restaurant of this level has ever done.
Absolutely stunning food. All courses were delicious and added something else to the table. All staff were super friendly, helpful and seemed generally interested in how your experience was going. Would 100% recommend o anyone looking for a fantastic night out with excellent food.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The good is absolutely sublime- so much flavour and so well balanced. The real thrill though is seeing the kitchen in action and being served directly by the chef who prepared each dish. A truly amazing experience!
All the staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. They were merticulous with clearing the plates and refilling the water.
It was lovely to be seated by the kitchen to see the action and guess what they were making. I very much enjoyed the interaction with the chefs that were there at the night.
The most thing that I lived part of the night was the birthday surprise banoffee dessert and a written birthday card by the staff. It really made my boyfriend's night. He was very happy.
I definitely recommend this place, especially for someone very special who's been through very tough times.
We had about 3 different people service us tonight and they were all extremely friendly and bubbly. I think they made our experience even better because they were able to joke and make us feel very comfortable. The first four dishes were amazing but then I got full and was unable to enjoy the rest. My partner Loved it all and he made it until dessert lol. The wine pairing was an enjoyable experience. I loved the curries and Caribbean flavours they had to offer. I would love to come back on an empty stomach with stretchy pants!

Everything about this meal was perfection. From the guy who greeted us at the door, to the delicious food, wonderful wine pairings, perfect portion sizes, and amazing ambience. Plus, a truly inventive menu unlike any I’ve had before. This is a must eat location, if you like tasting menus.
I had an amazing experience at dinner with the crew at Momofuku, all the wait staff were super attentive and genuine and sitting at the bar was interesting as you were able to see your meal being prepared and plated and then the courses were served and explained by the chefs which was a great touch. I have never had Caribbean inspired food before and none of the dishes disappointed, they were all singularly amazing and the drink pairing was so worth it! Loved every bite!

Incredible experience, right from the minute we were greeted at the door! We had the tasting menu and it was full of delicious complex flavours.
The chefs explained the country origin and influence of each dish, and were very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend the tasting menu at Momofuku Seiōbo!
We also enjoyed a few of the cocktails from the drink menu - strong and delicious!
Overall, the staff and chefs make you feel very welcomed and relaxed (not like other ‘traditional fine dining’ restaurants).

I'm vegetarian and unfortunately for the price paid and for the ingredients used, it doesn't match my expectations. On the same table, other guests had caviar and a marron but on my dishes, there were just a plain pumpkin and eggplant. I'd expect I'd have truffles or other high quality alike ingredients. Also, for a three hatted restaurant I'd expect excellent ambiance and well balanced music/toileting facilities. The music was way too loud as if you were in a bar rather than in a hatted restaurant. If you gotta go to the toilet you have to pass through their central part of the kitchen which is a bit weird, let alone there is only one toilet. Overall the food was good.

What a wonderful experience. It was our anniversary and Paul the Executive chef and his staff made the night and experience very special. The food, service and atmosphere were very special. An excellent menu with great matching wines, even a personalized anniversary card. WOW! Thank you Paul and team.
