Es war wundervoll. Wir hatten einen perfekten Abend mit erstklassigem Service.
Die Toilettensituation könnte besser sein.
Fabulous meal and great service , only negative was loud mouth American at the end of the bar who thought he was funny
Great service great food! We dined at momofuku to celebrate my partners birthday and she loved it. Only thing I would have preferred is the choice of music. It was not as intimate as I had imagined but the casual vibe was still a unique experience
Brilliant. Under promises at the start and over delivers.
The culinary creations coming from this exceptionally talented kitchen is nothing short of wizardry!
We had breathtaking courses of crayfish, ceviche, duck and dessert that were as amazing to taste as they were to look at.
Having eaten at seven of Melbourne’s best fine dining restaurants, Momofuku completely blew us away and reminded us why we come back for our birthday for what is now the fourth year in a row.
Unpredictable and exciting, we left completely full and in awe of the expert attention to detail including the wait staff. Floor room management were very helpful and efficient and contributed to an unforgettable evening.
My only disappointment with this restaurant is only having one birthday a year.
Truly Sydney’s best restaurant.
Best food, service, experience we’ve ever had in a restaurant. We did the 10 course tasting menu and it was incredible, we also paired with wine which was delicious. We loved sitting at the kitchen and seeing the food preparation, fascinating! Well worth the money we spent. We were really well looked after. Can’t fault it. We’ll be telling all our friends to visit!!
Very impressive restaurant with amazing chefs and exciting staff
The food was delicious and very interesting
Staff were the best I have ever seen. The chefs taking the time to explain the dishes in a unique way and the other staff being very friendly, funny and clearly knowing the dishes and wines. Beautiful atmosphere and great team work in the kitchen. The flow and timing of the degustation was on point. I seriously cannot wait to come back.
The food and service were excellent. We had the Tasting Menu and sat at the counter. It was a memorable experience and one I would recommend if you enjoy seeing how your food is prepared. The sommelier Max was very professional/knowledgeable and we appreciated his input to our wine selection. Full marks to all the staff for their approach to service. (Friendly and unobtrusive) We really liked the way in which each dish was presented and explained to us by a different member of the kitchen team. Great attention to the presentation and the quality of the dishes. Will definitely be back to try out the other menus offered at the restaurant.
We had a fabulous experience. Excellent sitting at the bar watching the smooth running of the kitchen and comaraderie of the staff! Thank you
For fine dining, the place had a nice relaxed feel. We were seated at the kitchen bar and enjoyed watching the preparation and care on each dish. The 4 course lunch menu was very tasty. We loved the main of duck with sides - the grilled asparagus was a highlight - delicious. The coconut, pineapple, tamarind dessert was a very refreshing way to top off the meal. The gesture from the restaurant for our anniversary was unexpected and much appreciated. Proximity to an arguing couple was the only thing that affected the experience. Would definitely come back to try the 10 course dinner.
Had a very enjoyable lunch for my husbands birthday! Great service and food! Highly recommend!
Absolutely fantastic. The staff had such a beautiful enthusiasm for their food and service, with a great sense of humour. Such a balance of professionalism and friendly banter. Really knowledgeable staff, great ambience, and the food was incredible.
Exciting and different food. The courses had really interedting flavours and such a variety of textures. The juice pairings were also really beautiful.
Great food, great ambient, friendly staff. Great way to spend our anniversary lunch! Thank you for everything
Brilliant as always.
Momofuku Seiobo is more a Caribbean inspired restaurant and whilst the menu attempts it was anything but inspiring. Despite having confirmed my allergies multiple times the staff managed to serve me my allergies on 3 occasions which was extremely disappointing. The meal felt disjointed and did not have a common theme throughout. Thanks for trying but I’ll not be back
We absolutely loved Momofuku Seiōbo, which had some of the best dishes we've ever tasted in a fine dining experience - Caribbean-inspired flavours using Australian produce. We had the 10 course tasting menu, and with no written menu provided at the start, each dish was a surprise. They were brought out
by different cooks each time and explained in loving detail.
Our particular favourites were the sweet potato pudding in the banana leaf sauce, and the pumpkin-pie desert (which sounds much more simple than the complexity of its taste actually grants). The dishes are served with a lot of beauty and detail, but in quite small bowls or plates compared to what I have seen in other fine dining restaurants. I actually came to appreciate both the visual humility of this, and also the fact that it made us lean in and pick up our food more, to see and smell.
The staff were great, and we were treated with exceptional service. The one thing I would comment on is that, as it was an energetic atmosphere with a lot of buzzing and talking, it was hard to hear the descriptions of the food given by the cooks serving us the dish. With no visual aid/menu, we lost a lot of the detail being presented to us.
The fact that we saw Clare Smyth from Core (UK) at the other end of the bench from us (confirmed to be her by the Sommelier), just sealed the experience for us. Overall this has to be one of my favourite places to eat as a fine-dining experience.
Always an wonderful experience. Amazing food, knowledgable & approachable staff, and perfect beverage pairings.
This is one of our favourite locations to visit. More than the food and drinks, which are excellent although some dishes were a touch too salty, it is the exceptional and friendly service that makes this one of my favourite Sydney restaurants.
Simply outstanding! Interesting and unique Caribbean influenced dishes prepared directly in front of you. Each dish introduced by the chef that prepared it. Recommend the “wine pairings” prepared and introduced by a very knowledgeable and passionate sommelier. 10 out of 10!
Everything was amazing!! We loved the food, the atmosphere, the place... we finally found the best restaurant in sydney!!
great tasting menu with bold and rustic flavours. our best meal we had in sydney. at least a 1 michelin star standard, perhaps 2.
Very good food, very unique but in comparison with NY restaurant it doesn't compare in my opinion, but still overall still amazing worth a visit
The food was amazing. Such a great dining experience the whole group loved it. I would have loved for the passion fruit dessert to be last as it was so delicious i could have eaten more. Will definitely recommend your restaurant. Thank you
Hit and Miss
It's been a long time waiting experience to eat here however, the overall experience left me wondering, really - was it worth it.
A stand out was the finale dish with the maron by far.
The scene was set with a range of chefs coming out to present and explain dishes which I found mostly enticing. I couldn't understand our main waitress and her presentation of the pairing wine list was disappointing. This was a $100 not well spent.
Some chefs came out enthused and engaging, whilst others (and one in particular who brought the initial mortar and pestle bowls out) had a scowl on her face and not eye contact.
I think the food was good, the presentation was okay (I didn't agree with a lot of dishes they used to present the cuisine).
Overall a nice experience but one you wouldn't brag about or even refer as a must whilst in Sydney.
The curry fried rice is a bit salty
The 10 course tasting menu was fantastic! Every dish was crafted with care and the flavors were something I had not experienced before! Our experience overall was amazing and would recommend everyone to give it a try.
Great meal, with interesting flavour combinations.
We went for our wedding anniversary and had a table with a view of the kitchen. Everything was outstanding we had the 10 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Kitchen team was fantastic and Max was wonderful with the wine pairing. Highly recommended and and reasonable prices e for such a high quality experience.
Loved every moment. Food, wine and service are all first class.
Amazing innovative food. Loved sitting at the counter and watching the chefs at work. Alcohol pairing was creative. Service was impeccable.
Awesome place, with really good food; surprising menu and great staff (especially when you are sitting at the bar).
Fantastic ambient, exquisite food and amazing service. Best restaurant in Sydney so far.
A delicious degustation menu with flavours from the Caribbean and that were new to us. As sometimes happens with a degustation meal we didn't love every course (in particular the main dessert of a variant of pumpkin pie was underwhelming) but most courses were a surprise and delight.
Worst tasting menu I’ve ever had in my whole life!
Beverages are nasty tasting and some of the dishes as well are well below average restaurants.
Kitchen is too young and wait staff lack etiquette.
Save your money and go somewhere else. Anywhere else!
Amazing experience for a special occasion, loved every moment and big thanks to all the team. As a Jamaican I found the food authentic yet creative. Amazing work Paul Carmichael!
The food was absolutely delicious!! The flavours were unreal and we loved how the chefs and waitresses explained each dish along with how to eat it. We were surprised by the outstanding service we received along with the attention to detail on everything. We’ve been to many restaurants but Momofuku Seiōbo is definitely worth spending the money on as the experience was incredible!!!
One of my favorite fine dining experiences for quite some time. Im not that huge on all things seafood, in fact i was a little worried, but Momofuku delivered in such a way that i enjoyed every dish, with the presence of the Caribbean in every course, they really took you to exotic places. With great service and a decent wine selection, it really is a must.
The service was outstanding. The food was hit and miss. Some of the dishes were over constructed and lost their intention. Some dishes had extremely odd textures and other dishes were absolutely outstanding. For 3 people it was over $800 with the beverage pairing. For that much money I would expect the entire experience be truly excellent. Disappointing at best.
Amazing food and would definitely pay a visit again. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience!
