Our dinner was outstanding and very special. We had the tasting menu with matched beverages. My husband matched for each course and I had the limited beverage matching. The matches were inspired and imaginative and well suited to the course, ranging from a sake to a cider, to cognac and Sauternes. Max was an attentive sommelier who explained each beverage perfectly. It was wonderful to sit up at the bar and see the chef’s perform their craft on the raw ingredients, be it garlic, marrons, coconut, sea urchin or a prawn. The chefs made a special effort to make sure the course was explained to us fully. A truly wonderful and special experience
My partner and I had been trying to get here since it opened and we finally got there for my partners 30th birthday on Saturday night and it did not disappoint. This restaurant has won many awards for good reason and all 12 of the courses were to die for. The marron was a standout and honestly one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had in a hatted restaurant also their take on pumpkin pie deserves a mention as it was absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and informative but not pretentious and the menu itself interactive and fun also the non alcoholic drink pairing was a fantastic idea for those not inclined to want so much wine etc
All this topped off by a surprise birthday dessert which was incredible!!!
Hope to return to try the informal bar menu which is a first in best dressed situation but we wouldn’t think twice about travelling from Newcastle.

The food was absolutely amazing! I cannot recommend the Tasting Menu highly enough, everything we tried was so delicious. And the service was exceptional. Honestly, one of the best restaurants I've ever been to!
The staff were amazing explaining all the ingredients in each of the dishes and the match wines. It was also great to have the Sous Chef's come out and explain certain dishes. The food was interesting and definitely something that I wouldn't cook so it was wonderful to experience.
Fantastic food and presentation with great service. However, was a bit overpriced as drinks weren’t included in the tasting menu. The ambiance could have been better with a more secluded and classier layout.

This was a restraunt we had been dying to try and the experience was incredible!! Waitstaff are well versed in their knowledge and the chefs even come out with some of the dishes to explain the products used!!
It was not what I had hoped. Sitting at a bar. Chefs being the waiters and leaning over the bar to serve me. Plates being pushed toward me into position. Food was ordinary. The urchin tasted off, the banana decorated course was so small my portion fell into the dried banana slices. The first course that we mashed ourselves was doughy and stuck to the roof of my mouth. The very first course smelt like and tasted just like a pig. Too strong and real. Many of the dishes were just gooy sauces. The beef was ok but you needed a magnifying glass to see it. The Maron was good but I was disturbed to meet and greet my Maron before I ate him. Glad i didn’t order matching wines most were not nice. The red from Spain was great. Staff were nice but the price of the meal far exceeded what I got.

Utterly fabulous experience. We don't often indulge in fine dining, but this was such a treat. The quality of the food was above and beyond, and the service was equally as impressive. Loved every moment and feel grateful to have had the opportunity to dine at Momofuku.
Wonderful experience. This was a special occasion dinner and we weren't disappointed. The tasting menu is delicious and you are trying things you wouldn't normally go out of your way to try. Every dish and beverage pairing is explained to you which helps enhance the experience. Highly recommended.

The food was exquisite, a dego menu of outstanding quality, and just the right amount so that at the end, I was full, but not feeling over stuffed.
I suggest choosing the matching drinks option. You’ll get saki, cider, Sherry and wines which are excellent on their own, brilliant with the food.
The service was some of the best I’ve ever had, attentive and knowledgable without being intrusive.
Very highly recommended. A perfect place to bring a date. But also, bring you wallet. You'll need it.

For the amount of money you pay for the meal the ambience just does not match up. There were cockroaches on the wall as we were eating. The casino just isn’t the place for expensive restaurants. It just doesn’t fit. The service was average- cutlery put down after our meals were delivered, meals not explained, lots of words such as “thingys” and “stuff” to explain the food. Strange music which didn’t suit the place. Live lobsters which we were going to eat were bought to the table which is pretty disturbing for most people.
Toilets had no toilet paper and were dirty.
It just want worth it.
I went here for my birthday and had a great time. I love David Chang's restaurant in LA and finding out he had one in Sydney made it an easy choice for the occasion. The tasting menu was fantastic, each dish was better than the last. I would absolutely come back next time I'm in Sydney.
The food and the presentation was interesting. We can see the creativity in every dishes they presented on their tasting menu. The service though was a let down. I would say 70% of the staffs were great & friendly however some were doing their job with attitude towards their customers. When you are not genuinely doing the job with a real service mind, people can feel and notice it. And it can destroy the whole experience.

While the food was a fabulous experience, in comparison to other restaurants of this calibre it fell short. The staff were wonderful but at times served my meal pushed across the table instead of next to me.

Fantastic. I was a littler skeptical about a high end Caribbean restaurant but it was one of the most enjoyable meals I’ve had!! Excellent.
The food was very intricately presented but the taste of the entrees offered in the tasting menu was too experimental for my liking. There’s a variety of food on offer but portions were very small, as it was a tasting menu. The main wagyu beef was smaller than expected. The lobster at the end was the outstanding dish and provided the gastronomical delight I was looking for. Overall, an unexpected but still pleasant experience. Definitely only go for a special occasion and as a once-off experience. If you’re looking for value for money, I wouldn’t put it highly on your list.

The food was always interesting and in some cases really delicious, but on the whole it was overly expensive and we all left a little underwhelmed. I think we expected too much!
We previously came to Momofuku when it was just opened. This is the first time we tried the new menu. It is totally different compared to the previous experience it terms of the food. There was quite an eclectic mix of Carribean food with some Asian influence. There was lots of seafood on the menu (which I loved) - including caviar, sea urchin, crabs, marron, etc. My favourite dish was the marron - which was cooked to perfection and just beautiful with the coconut cake. The one thing that I found a bit difficult was some of the dishes were quite spicy, which I feels then cover the beauty of the ingredients (such as the rice with crabs and curry sauce). The dessert was also interesting and a bit different to other places. Overall an excellent dining experience.
Momofuku is an unique and unforgettable experience. We had exceptional service from all the staff. The food was original and so very beautiful. It was truly hard to pick my favourite probably the marron. The wine matching was thoughtful. We did the half pairing and that was plenty. Highly recommend Momofuku.

One of the best dining experiences I had in Sydney - the food here is really an eye-opener: exciting, stimulating, and downright tasty. Sitting at the counter and being presented with each dish of the tasting menu is like watching a fantastic performance, and I enjoyed every moment of the experience.
The palatte cleanser is the best I have ever had. It's more than a palette cleanser. And the pumpkin dessert ... best in the land
Amazing restaurant really lived up to the 3 chef hat rating each dish as amazing as the last with some things we never though would go together the non alcoholic pairing was outstanding and the staff know the food and drinks inside and out. The setting of sitting around the kitchen was amazing to see how the food is prepared the artists at work
Booked following a recommendation from family member but was disappointed. Food was typical of modern degustation, good flavours, good variety but on the night and 2 days later there was not one “knock out” dish that was really memorable. The matched wines were similar, an adequate match but nothing outstanding. Usually I can find a wine I want to buy but not this time. Also thought that having only 3 out of 10 wines from Australia was a low percentage.
Overall a pleasant evening but not a degustation menu I would want to have again
