Amazing food, wine and service. Perfect from arrival to the end.
While the food was a fabulous experience, in comparison to other restaurants of this calibre it fell short. The staff were wonderful but at times served my meal pushed across the table instead of next to me.
outstanding in every aspect and far superior to Quay. A must visit for any foodie.
Fantastic. I was a littler skeptical about a high end Caribbean restaurant but it was one of the most enjoyable meals I’ve had!! Excellent.
The food was very intricately presented but the taste of the entrees offered in the tasting menu was too experimental for my liking. There’s a variety of food on offer but portions were very small, as it was a tasting menu. The main wagyu beef was smaller than expected. The lobster at the end was the outstanding dish and provided the gastronomical delight I was looking for. Overall, an unexpected but still pleasant experience. Definitely only go for a special occasion and as a once-off experience. If you’re looking for value for money, I wouldn’t put it highly on your list.
Unique Caribbean degustation menu. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Good food! Wonderful service, great sitting at the bar watching them work. Carribean flavours were yummy!
The food was always interesting and in some cases really delicious, but on the whole it was overly expensive and we all left a little underwhelmed. I think we expected too much!
We previously came to Momofuku when it was just opened. This is the first time we tried the new menu. It is totally different compared to the previous experience it terms of the food. There was quite an eclectic mix of Carribean food with some Asian influence. There was lots of seafood on the menu (which I loved) - including caviar, sea urchin, crabs, marron, etc. My favourite dish was the marron - which was cooked to perfection and just beautiful with the coconut cake. The one thing that I found a bit difficult was some of the dishes were quite spicy, which I feels then cover the beauty of the ingredients (such as the rice with crabs and curry sauce). The dessert was also interesting and a bit different to other places. Overall an excellent dining experience.
Momofuku is an unique and unforgettable experience. We had exceptional service from all the staff. The food was original and so very beautiful. It was truly hard to pick my favourite probably the marron. The wine matching was thoughtful. We did the half pairing and that was plenty. Highly recommend Momofuku.
Great dining experience. Especially with the alcohol pairings that come with a mix not just wines. Amazing food will definitely leave fully full 😍
One of the best dining experiences I had in Sydney - the food here is really an eye-opener: exciting, stimulating, and downright tasty. Sitting at the counter and being presented with each dish of the tasting menu is like watching a fantastic performance, and I enjoyed every moment of the experience.
The palatte cleanser is the best I have ever had. It's more than a palette cleanser. And the pumpkin dessert ... best in the land
Amazing restaurant really lived up to the 3 chef hat rating each dish as amazing as the last with some things we never though would go together the non alcoholic pairing was outstanding and the staff know the food and drinks inside and out. The setting of sitting around the kitchen was amazing to see how the food is prepared the artists at work
Booked following a recommendation from family member but was disappointed. Food was typical of modern degustation, good flavours, good variety but on the night and 2 days later there was not one “knock out” dish that was really memorable. The matched wines were similar, an adequate match but nothing outstanding. Usually I can find a wine I want to buy but not this time. Also thought that having only 3 out of 10 wines from Australia was a low percentage.
Overall a pleasant evening but not a degustation menu I would want to have again
Great meal, really exciting food and service
Will definitely go again
Every single course was incredible and the experience as a whole was amazing!! Loved every minute of it - service, food, flavours - amazing!
Truly wonderful experience - delicious, impressive food and professional, friendly staff. We left very satisfied with the entire experience. Highly recommend.
What a wonderful experience. Not pretentious. Wonderful staff. DELICIOUS Food! Perfect pairing of wines. Just exceptional!
Brilliant experience. Amazing food. Great wine pairing. Highly recommended . Wonderful staff
Great restaurant with an outstanding degustation menu, amazing cooking techniques applied to Caribbean inspired menus. Staff were exceptional and do recommend the alcohol pairing!
Just one thing, it's really noisy in there which was the only let down
I have raved about this place to everyone I know. I gave a $200 tip, never done that before. This made my girlfriends birthday. Thank you so much
Truly beautiful food, amazing service-maybe two courses too many!! Thankyou
Certainly not worth 200PP .... that’s all I’ll say.
Amazing service and even better food. Highly recommend the drinks pairing.
Went to Momofuku Seiobo for our wedding anniversary dinner. We had a 6pm reservation so we could go watch a show at 8pm and were told that we could go through the full menu instead of a pre-theatre menu.
Unfortunately, we didn't get through all the dishes before our show, so the restaurant allowed us to return after the show to continue our dinner! My wife has certain dietary requirements and the staff were able to easily accommodate her requests!
Not inexpensive, but a definite recommendation for a special night!
I had my birthday dinner here and my 12-courses meal was delicious. I was sit at the table that can look over the kitchen so I can see them prepare my foods. All the staffs there are super friendly that care about their customers. I will be back again when I am back to Sydney.
Food was daring and successful in showing what can be done with both familiar and new ingredients. Service was warm, engaged and well-timed.
Serving size of wine pairings was just right.
Highly enjoyed our meal at Momofuku, incredible dining experience. It was fantastic sitting in front of the kitchen watching the chefs work. We had the tasting menu with matched 'wines'. Not cheap, but worth the price. Great experience.
I thought this would be a great one time experience, but we will be visiting every time we travel to Sydney for sure. If the price scares you, it is worth double what you pay. The people and the food were out of this world.
Outstanding attention to detail and incredible ingredients from all over Australia. Seated so I could watch the chefs and the experience was amazing. I loved watching the team create the dishes. The flavours were divine. I had the tasting menu because it was recommended to me. Highly recommended. Loved it.
After hearing so much about the restaurant, we were somewhat let down by the ‘experience’ part of the dining experience. Not sure, we were maybe expecting more theatre to the dish. We were celebrating a big anniversary, and were given the worst seat in the restaurant which was disappointing. The staff were great though, especially the bar tender.
Quite possibly the most exceptional meal I have ever had. My partner and I eat out at excellent restaurants quite a bit, but we know next to nothing about Caribbean food in general. I was blown away by flavours I wasn’t familiar with - they were so satisfying and delightful. Occasionally a dish would take me aback, not sure whether I liked it or not - but 2,3 mouthfuls in (particularly in context of the wine pairing) I would be hooked. Playfulness in the serving of the dishes and friendly, top notch service made for such a wonderful night. Yes, it’s a huge amount of money to pay for a meal, but in terms of an unforgettable experience, to us it was worth every cent. What a privilege.
Saving the pennies until we can return. Thanks so much Chef Paul Carmichael & team. Absolutely outstanding.
The degustation menu is interesting and unusual but not all dishes are equal or consistent throughout. Some were great, some were misses. Some had more theatre than substance. The matching wines were outstanding with some very unusual choices that would not normally be found in a restaurant
Fantastic food and service
Great technique but
The whole experience was fantastic
We loved the food so much, great wine and beer to match
Outstanding service,loved it
Excellent degustation meal throughout . Open kitchen lovely to watch
Excellent food, creative and very tasty. Every course a home run and every course was excellent. Definitely worth the price. Strongly recommend sitting at the kitchen table and watch the team cook.
