We turned up and they had no booking. They also don’t do Pre theatre meals like what we had booked.
Absolutely incredible- amazing food & the staff coming out and explaining what each dish was is great. The man who does the drinks knew his wine as well & that was an awesome wine. Highly recommend!
Amazing food and service. One of the best meals I've had. Sitting at the bar and watching the creating is a real treat. Wines were fantastic. staff are very friendly and create a good atmosphere. they went above and beyond with little touches. Is expensive but really worth the experience.
My favourites were the appetizer, duck and dessert. I don't really get the banchan as the flavours seem to clash. The curry was a bit on the sweet side. Overall, good value for money.
The Momofuku Seibi experience was unique and amazing! My husband and I have been to other fancy restaurants to include a few in Sydney and we both agreed that Momofuku has been the best so far. The experience is interactive at times and someone explains each course to you. They're also very happy to modify based on diets/allergies. We highly recommend Momofuku to anyone looking for a nice dinner in Sydney. They're totally worth every $ and more for the food.
The only thing that we were disappointed with is that we had booked the pre-theatre menu and we arrived on time for dinner but the food was not served fast enough. We ended up quite rushed we didn't get to eat our desert and were almost late for the show. We ended up having to rush off and were the last people through the door for the show at 730
Staff were friendly, very happy to serve and eager to help. We had the pre theatre menu which was fantastic and delicious food in a 4 course meal. We went on our anniversary so the staff made us a little banoffee cake which was a pleasant and delicious surprise.
Pretheatre
It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had!
We will definitely be back to try the larger menu as we only had the pre theatre one
We had a fantastic experience with the vegetarian pre-theatre menu. The food was inventive, beautifully presented and delicious. Interesting and enjoyable wine pairings and very friendly service. Can’t wait to go back!
Absolutely loved it. Amazing food and the service was perfect. Also fabulous wine pairing.
Fantastic night!
We will be back for sure. Thank you again
Everything was great, the only issue we had was that it was hard to find because it doesn't have a signage on the outside, we went around in circles at The Star trying to find this restaurant.
Could not fault my experience at Momofuku. Lovely staff, popping soundtrack, delicious food. Pre-theatre menu was delicious and great value. Happily accommodated our request to finish 4th course after the show.
I think dining at this restaurant should be extended rather than rushing through a pre-theatre menu.
Wines to the upper end of price ranges. Staff very good.
The staff were just lovely, the food tasted great but mostly we just felt so welcome and comfortable. Loved the birthday card for my friend. Thank you!
A wonderful evening to spend with your partner. Love the modern design of the restaurant with the main focus on the open kitchen. Seeing how smoothly kitchen operates and the techniques used to create the food is like watching a well produced show. Food is fantastic. Each dish is delicious and the menu as a whole leaves you feeling satisfied. The staff are friendly and drinks are always topped up.
My partner and I look forward to dining at Momofuku Seiobo when we visit Sydney again.
Thank you.
A slick operation to serve such creative food for the pre-theatre crowd. Watching the staff in the kitchen prepping each dish from the bar dining area very entertaining. Want to go back for the full menu.
wish the lobster-cray fish with sauce on top was part of theatre menu :) looked great
We be been pushed through out the whole night. Poor service skills presented by staffs, awful music and the food just add another hint of disappointment to the night. If this is how a 3hat restaurant should be, then it shall be 10 more restaurant received their third hat
Overly loud rap music. Hence we had to really concentrate on our conversation and didn’t catch all explanations of each dish by the waiters. First two courses and desert were good. Desert was amazing. Main course underwhelming
Friendly service, spectacular food!! Will definitely be going back!
Without doubt there is a great deal of hype about this restaurant. However one needs to take into account that the food is of a Creole /Caribbean style and frankly it's not particularly sophisticated or brilliant cuisine for the price and location of this relatively expensive restaurant.
The style of cuisine and quality of food would be more suited to a more relaxed suburban style café at less than half the price. Admittedly flavours are unique to this cuisine but not something that I personally find appealing. The food occasionally has quite strong spice elements which drown the high-quality produce particularly the wonderful fresh crayfish which were part of the 10 course menu. I would not be rushing back to experience this restaurant again.
Stunning creative food, cooked right in front of our eyes - catered very well to dietary requirements. Such a good meal!
Nice food but doesn’t compare to other fine dining.
Seiōbo was an incredible and memorable dining experience! From start to finish the staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating. One of our diners is allergic to onion and garlic and they went above and beyond to provide a beautiful meal almost identical to the normal menu for her needs. They also helped to accommodate her need for disabled access at a table. It was a vibrant 4-course pre theatre dinner that none of us will forget!
Outstanding meal! Slightly rushed service but other than that the food was excellent
Have a enjoyable night here with my partner!Food is so creative and delicious! It‘s very valuable!
The food is till your eyes back and lose yourself good. Being able to see the kitchen and be served by chefs with understanding of the food makes it a real experience.
Disappointed I didn’t have time for the tasting menu pre show. I will 100% be back. Love love love
Could not fault this place at all. Great to watch the food being prepared right in front of us too. Unusual and delicious food. Great service.
Amazing delightful superior yet down to earth food, great attentive yet easy going service, inclusive & cool vibe. Special.
You can sense Momofuku's strength in its entre enticing you with a sense of anticipation of the mains which turned out to be disappointing. Made up somewhat with its well executed dessert. Great waiting staff.
Fabulous food and the pre theatre menu was perfect. Wine list was very expensive - need more options there. Kitchen & staff all had a lovely happy vibe. Delicious!
Service is exceptional, the staff knowledge is very impressive. The food is unbelievably good. Pricey but good
I do enjoy creative cuisine but I guess this one is not for me. I had the four course pre-theater menu with wine pairing...The dessert was good but the rest was meh.
Absolutely loved it! Amazing food and service, cant fault anything in this restaurant at all. Worth booking in advance for!
Somellier was excellent and food was fantastic. The Murray code soup was a particular standout!
Really great food , very knowledgeable staff for ceoliac friendly food ! Really great good and vibe
Great, if slightly rushed way to start our evening at the theatre. Sitting on the bar was fascinating, food was exceptional and the looked after my vegan wife really well. Would recommend to anyone with a bit of cash who loves the food experience
The pre-theatre 4-course menu was outstanding. We had high expectations due to the Momofuku brand, but the Caribbean style of food was amazing. We loved every course. Highly recommended.
