Mojo by Luke Mangan Ratings and Reviews
I wasn't hugely impressed with my dinner here. The space itself had a wonderful energy about it and the wine was delicious, however the service was slow and the food portions were not suited to sharing with a big group. Perhaps better for a date night rather than group dinner.
We booked into the restaurant but ended up leaving without ordering any food. Placed looked OK , menu limited but there seems to be a lack of staff as we were only approached once and then the waitress who seemed to be looking after our table didn't return. She was looking after some other tables, greeting people as they arrived and taking orders for the tables not getting served at the counter. Taking orders from the table sitted seemed to be last thing on here mind
The food was absolutely amazing - punchy flavours, they smashed each dish out of the park. Only disappointment was the difference in lunch and dinner menu's - we were really looking forward to the 'around the world' dining experience which wasn't offered when we got there for lunch which wasn't entirely clear on the website.
Took my partner her for a date. The service was attentive but not too in your face/over the top and food wasn't really all that inventive but nicely presented and super tasty. Enjoyed the cocktails and the vibe was really nice in the restaurant.
Overall a place I can see us heading back to very soon.
Really liked the polenta chips.
Pleasantly surprised how a basic warehouse was designed to provide such a trendy quirky atmosphere , awesome music with great acoustics . Food we chose was delicious and creative , service was excellent topped off by our waitress from the Gold Coast ... She is a gem
What a fun place. A bit industrial, great amount of space between tables so you weren't in yr neighbour's lap & what great food.
Sharing plates is fine...unless you taste something great & don't want to share.
That was me.
There were dishes - prosciutto, caramelised pear and rocket pizza / popcorn chicken / prosciutto salad with the thin slices of compressed watermelon with rosewater...everything really.
The wine list was good & the barman knew his stuff! Great wait staff too.
The service wasn't great, it kind of like they forgot we were there. I had to ask twice for water and they were tidying up around us while we were waiting to be served. Majority of the food was really great, however one dish which was a salmon dish was really bland and we sent it back. We had to ask twice to get this taken off the bill.
Food was average for the price and brand. Waygu steak was served blue not medium as requested which made it chewy and cold!
$18 for one ravioli which seemed pretty expensive. Need to lift their game if that want to compete with some of the new restaurants in the area.
Wouldn't recommend. Level of service was poor, we waited over 1.5 hours for our mains to arrive, and they forgot that we had ordered a bottle of wine. Only received it after asking for it. Quality of food was not best. Highly disappointed, expected so much more.
When making the reservation I requested a table 'with leg room' as one of our group had her ankle in a cast.
We were most appreciative (& impressed) when 4 of us were seated at a table that could easily have seated 6.
Whilst our meals alone were reason to return, the NZ lady who looked after us effortlessly relegated the food to second place.
She possessed that unique quality of welcoming, friendly professionalism.
Noting our interest in the restaurant's inception she took the time to answer
This is our third Visit & again we weren't disappointed. Only things I would mention are that the Menu hasn't changed a lot & if you don't eat Fish, it's a bit of a challenge. Definitely recommend it to everyone but not sure we'll give it a forth try. Unfortunate because we live nearby.
