Modo Mio Ratings and Reviews
We dined at Modo Mio before going to a show at the Crown Theatre so we were a little pressed for time. However the staff ensured we had our dinner in a timely manner. The menu was wide ranging and varied. However the portions were a bit small and the accompaniments were small also. The risotto was amazing and very tasty. The rack of lamb and steak were cooked to our liking and to perfection. This is the perfect place for a meal as a catch up with friends or a fun night out.
Wonderful night, with great food, and staff, the only reason I marked the ambiance down was we were seated next to the reception/cashier desk so constant noise from diners leaving and arriving. Otherwise a perfect meal including great understanding for our Coeliac diner.
This was our second time at Modo Mio, amd both times we were blown away by the food. It is real fine dining in Perth. The food quality is always the absolute best and everything is always cooked to perfection. I have never had anything on my plate that was not perfect. Our waitress and other staff are also always very polite and professional and make the experience really wonderful. This restaurant will not dissappoint.
We had booked moda mio with high expectations for our wedding anniversary dinner
We were greeted by a very unfriendly lady who got the waiter to seat us
The margarita wood fired pizza was our entree - no real basil - just the jar stuff and no fresh tomatoes - just ALOT of cheese
Mains - linguine - was bland and tasteless and required salt - a real let down
Dessert took over 20 minutes to arrive
All in all, disappointing and won’t be returning
The maître d set the standard for a delightful lunch with our daughter to celebrate Christmas- staff were attentive and unobtrusive the lunch menu was just right delicious entree- must have dish was the grilled zucchini - lamb was cooked perfectly and surprisingly filling! We couldn’t fit in desert! Has been too long between visits but intend to rectify this in 2018! Thank you and best wishes to you all
We were very disappointed by our meal here. Both our pasta dishes were missing a sauce (the ragu was lumps pf meat and the tomato and chilli were some warmed up cherry tomatoes cut in half) and the pasta was over cooked.
The antipasta tasted like it came from the supermarket and the desert menu was uninspiring. The best thing was the warm bread we were served with a tiny amount of olive oil.
Wait time for meals was ridiculous. Over 40 minutes for food, then another 20 minutes once the dessert choices had been taken.
Food was very nice though even though they stuffed up the 1st course and Brough the kids meals out with the starters when they asked if we wanted them with the mains
The food was lovely and the place was beautiful. Would have been a great dining experience apart from the lack of service from staff. When we walked in staff basically said hi then continued talking to each other and ignored us. Then we were brought to the table and left there for ages. Lots of staff around yet so hard to get served. However there was one staff who made it all better..chris! He was attentive and friendly.
Sophisticated setting, not cramped, nice ambience for special occasion, good but not stellar table service. Food was good but quite expensive. $48 for lamb chops.
Most off-putting thing was arrival at Italian restaurant to have Chiness maître de. Very efficient but not warm, friendly or inviting. Makes you doubt the authenticity of it as an Italian restaurant. Likewise for waiters - polite and attentive but not charming or cheery as one typically expects at an Italian restaurant.
The place is beautifully presented and comfortable
The staff are welcoming and efficient
The food was divine.
I would like to see maybe a bigger range of pasta and pizza choices eg lasagne/gnocchi
We had a pleasurable and memorable experience and we will be back
The staff were wonderful and the seating was in a quiet area, but no river views. The food was not so good as I had fish ravioli and found a couple of scales in my mouth while eating. My husband said the Red Emperor was a little on the dry side. Desert was good, however, The sour cherry desert was too sour so waitress brought me a Pistachio ice cream which was nice. We tossed up for dinner at Fraser Suites where we were staying for our anniversary, so should have had dinner there.
Excellent food, superb staff, shout out to Christina, Shae, and Salvatore for making the dining experience memorable. Add to that the ambience and decor, and the exceptional presentation of the dishes, and you have a hit in your hands. Been there several times, and it never disappoints. Highly recommended
We were greeted & shown to our table .. the staff were friendly & attentive in all areas
Our food arrived promptly and was delicious. It was presented beautifully & tasty
The dessert was delicious and was suitable for me as a GF diner
A lovely ambiance and would recommend friends & relatives to dine here .
