The food was the highlight. Each dish was superb, and well executed particularly the risotto. The restaurant itself was charming with a great atmosphere. The service was great, very knowledgeable ans friendly staff. I can’t wait to come back with friends.
We tried the prawn pasta in special, not impressed. The lamb was good tender and tastier.
The food is too salty. We eat here quite a lot, and some dishes have way too much added salt. Please cease this practice.
Cocktails and entrees great. All three of us had the lamb shoulder as a main. Flavour wise... disappointing. Although
very tender, quite bland and under seasoned. Potatoes great, but the lettuce salad... really!
The food was great, staff were very friendly and the hotel manager Harsh was exceptionally nice and accommodating. Only downside was the price but that’s what you have to do for food of that quality.
We went to the Bennelong the next day. Mode was better

Booked for NYE dinner. Repeated calls to charge in full upfront when we were staying at the hotel. Provided my choice of mains and dietary preference via calls/app but had to repeat my choice as the lead server only for seating and the waitress was not informed/aware (after 2 calls and on hotel app). The special NYE dinner was just average. the scampi was not well cooked. There are better restaurants around with better food and service.
Food not many choices, fish is ok nothing special
Visited Mode as our first choice restaurant was closed. We feel that this was opportune . A most enjoyable meal pleasant surroundings and staff.
The food was average for a fine dining restaurant. The fish in particular was something we could have cooked at home. The mains were nothing special for the reputation of the restaurant.
The food was nice but the service was lacking... Not once did the waiter come and ask if our meal was okay or offer us another drink etc and when you are paying top dollar, you expect the service to be better... The food was very nice though so compliments to the chef.
The size of the food is not the value of the price. The beef was very small and they didn’t give a good feedback

Our group decided to share a few entrees to begin, perfect if u want to try a bit of everything. Best polenta chips I've had anywhere and the pavlova dessert was delicious.
Food was exceptional, service started poorly (waited too long for first interaction and drink order) and improved to very good, our server seemed quiet overwhelmed at times, when it wasn’t that busy.
Was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time, perfectly cooked and sauce delicious. The desert was the best desert I’ve had, pistachio bon bon with strawberry sorbet, very highly recommended.

Four Seasons Hotel takes Covid seriously so your temperature is checked and when you are in the lobby you are asked to wear a mask. Mode Kitchen is spacious and divided by opaque glass dividers so it appears more intimate. The menu is not extensive with fresh ingredients and a vague Italian influence. The complimentary bread slice is warm and delicious. The crudo kingfish entree had agro dolce flavours (sweet sour) one of the best use of this fabulous fish I have seen anywhere. The grilled prawns were perfectly cooked however I didn't like the addition of the paprika. The steak dish was well executed and a side of potatoes was very morish. Great cocktail bar with professional staff, wine list is adequate to please most. I was given a great birthday surprise dessert complete with "smoking" dry ice, most spectacular and unexpected. The waitstaff show a high level of fine dining training and are extremely personable. Very relaxed space.

We were disappointed about a few things. We booked a table for dinner on 13 Nov 2020.
- I called the restaurant in the afternoon after making a dinner booking on line as wanted to organise a dessert plate with birthday message for my friend, who was having her birthday that day. All the details was taken on the phone, including a name, a type of dessert etc. I do no think our request was even logged. No staff seemed to know about my request - really disappointing.
- We ordered a steak - the waitress did not even ask how we want it to be done.
- A side dish we order was not served and we had to order it again. By the time it was served, we were finished with our meals.

Lovely experience. We were celebrating our Anniversary and enjoyed both the food and the overall experience.
Our Waiter (Sorry I forget his name) was friendly and professional. The team did look a little stretched on the night so there was a couple of little service slip up's, but everything was fixed really quick.
Also a little confusion with our bill (I signed without looking at it!) as we were given the wrong one but once again was rectified with no fuss.
If I was to nitpick - there was some sort of noise/alarm in the background that stayed all night. I wasn't too bothered but my wife couldn't seem to "unhear" it.
Also felt like the place could use some ambient music...
All in all a lovely night. Thank you for the "Happy anniversary" plate. We enjoyed our night immensely.

Food is not bad, but whether it’s the environment or the presentation of the food is very different to what you see on the photo. Service is what you would expect for the price you pay, it’s not really good but not bad either.
Spring menu is boring. Staff were run off their feet (understaffed). Our main took nearly one hour to arrive.
All of this is disappointing as the place is normally good.
Ancient covid signin as well. You have to write out your details on a piece of paper. EVERY other place in town is electronic.
Needs to be fixed. Please do so to all of above.

Food was very nice and great ambience, would have rated higher but felt staff service was ok could have been better for a greater experience, they forgot to bring my wine and then it was added to bill, but he kindly removed charge.
The food and service was impeccable! Could not fault any of our dishes. Very attentive staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
The rib-eye steak was unbelievable. All the food was SO delicious, even the kid's pasta was next level. Will definitely return for more.

Food was fabulous, would definitely go back. The waiters were extremely hard to hear as they did have to wear masks, but understandable at the moment.
We were placed next to a wait station that was high traffic with the staff & was loud, there were other options they should of offered as we had a table of 4, yet they were putting 2 guests on tables set for 4 that came in after us (yes we had a booking).
Apart from this minor inconvenience, the food was to die for! Would love to take one of the Chefs home permanently!!!
