Food was good. The menu should be more explicit of what is in each dish. The portion of the soup is too generous for starter, which is more suitable as a main. The baked camerbert was so good. I had to cancel the cauliflower since I could not possibly fit in my stomach. If the soup is smaller, I would be able to.

I've booked this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We stayed at Four Seasons Hotel so it was very convenient to have dinner within the hotel. The service was outstanding. We were asked if we had a special occasion and then offered some very nice Prosecco. The hand sanitiser was ready on the table and all the staff wore face masks.
The food was very tasty and nicely presented. My husband had the steak and it was very very tasty. I had beautiful grilled snapper with a very tasty sautéed spinach with pine nuts. The dessert frozen pavlova was delicious.
We really enjoyed our celebration dinner and the chef and the staff made it very special for us.

We loved the wine, the oysters and the lamb shoulder. All such delicious dishes, but we feel that the steak should be seasoned with something and come with like mash or even a little salad on the side just to even put the portion sizes.

We went to Mode for our anniversary dinner, and it was a nice experience.

Ambiance
Due to COVID the restaurant was not full and provided a nice ambiance. The Hotel is almost 40 years old, and I don't know if the restaurant was ever renovated, but it showed some age. Some might like it some might not. I was ok with the decor, but the lighting could do with some dimming.

Food
We had the calamari salad and yellow fin tartare for entre, both were light and delicious. By light I mean they didn't add too much seasoning to overwhelm the core ingredients' orginal flavours.
For mains we had the snapper fillet and risotto with shaved truffle. The snapper had crispy skin and very tender, the side of spinach complimented it well.

The risotto was a disaster though, dispite the freshly grated truffle. The Arborio was undercooked and coarse like barley, the sauce was watery rather than creamy, and just tasted like rice in thick soup. Very disappointed.

Drinks
Forgot the name but it was a cocktail with Laphroaig 10 in it and it was very nicely done. My partner had the Riesling and Sav Blanc by the glass and both were good.

Should you go? Yes (need to book), definitely worth a visit for a relaxing night out chit chatting with friends.

Just don't pick the risotto.

After reading reviews we decided to dine in the hotel as we were staying there. Unfortunately this turned out to be the wrong decision. Dining area is bland and boring, service was almost non existent and the menu was completely different to their website. My wife was served a flat glass of sparkling wine and struggled to find anyone to replace it. Was possibly one of our worst dining experiences in years.

Went to Mode for my birthday dinner with my wife and brother. The maitre d (which we didn’t get the name) and our waiter - Dilsham were both fantastic and had good recommendations for the menu. 5 stars for me!

The food was excellent - we shared two entrees, one main and one dessert and all were excellent. The pork and duck terrine was a standout and the theatre of the pavlova was great. Service was also efficient and excellent.

The venue is well designed, and we were fortunate to recieve 2 glasses of sparkling, courtesy of mode for our Anniversary. However, the service was horribly slow, considering the place was virtually empty and there were several staff on. The pizza's were for a special event, but I can't say they were close to award winning. The wine was reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly. Overall, it was a mixed experience, but especially as i had to leave our table and chase waiting staff for service at the bar a few times. If this improved, we'd consider returning.

Food was excellent, but service was not up to usual Four Seasons standards. Chair was very uncomfortable and a cushion from the banquet was required. Bread was not refilled, and no serving personnel around to ask for more. But the worst was that our side dish was forgotten!!! It finally showed up when we were almost finished our mains, and with no apology or explanation. We saw our waiter pouring water for other tables while we ate our mains so the side dish was simply forgotten by either the kitchen or the waiter. Food was very good , but we were disappointed with the service. We were celebrating a special event, but this was not a special experience.

Even though the Valentine's Meal was a dinner, it didnt stop the booking to go through the Valentine's booking link from picking lunch hours.
Was a little disappointed we weren't able to do the valentine's dinner when we arrived but the staff was really helpful and attentative and helped suggest similar/same dishes from the same menu.
The food and atmosphere was nice.

My family and I had an amazing dinner here Sunday night. Fabulous service and welcomed me by my name throughout and stunning food for starters, mains and dessert. Will be back. Highlights include the terrine, octopus entree, blue eye trevally and chocolate delice.

Food was OK, quality as expected in a hotel restaurant. Service was non-existent even though there were only around 3 tables occupied. After waving my arms around for 10 minutes I gave up and we went to the till, paid and left. As we walked out of the exit on the 3rd floor we saw the wait staff having a smoke, which explains a bit. I would avoid this place if you can.

My friend (from Adelaide) and I had a very lovely, enjoyable lunch.
Would it be possible to re-arrange the lighting? I caught myself in one of the mirrors (when seated) and I was not happy with what I saw.
