As our first night out after lockdown restrictions I have to say we had an outstanding experience at Moneypenny's, what a treat! The food was amazing & plentiful, the drinks of the highest standard & the service fantastic. Moneypenny's did a great job of making us feel like we were out on a special night. We will definately be back!
This place looks beautiful, the servers are well presented and informative and the food was delicious.
We got buffet and thought:
1) there would be more variety and
2) the food would be replenished quicker.
What was there was delicious.
Food was average. Cocktails were good. Probably wouldn’t dine here again. Sorry.
Wonderful and place to be in Noosa
Food was exquisite, music lively and service to match! Totally recommend
Delicious food and friendly staff. Lighting was quite dim which made it difficult to read the menu but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Miss Moneypenny’s.
We felt like we were being rushed out the door! Ready for the next diners. Drinks ( G&T ...JD & soda) very diluted. Lovely looking place but could barely hear ourselves speak.
Best food we have had in australia so far. I got the baramundi and ciara got the brisket, both cooked to perfection. We love this place
Absolutely awesome night, only drawback guys was the loudness of the DJ music. It just took the edge of a perfect night
It is very noisy. Service in some cases was slow. Served chicken that wasn’t cooked and although they replaced it, it make you feel that you really have to check the quality.
Share plates, fantastic 2 shared plates feed four of us easily and beautiful food
Had a group of 12 to celebrate a birthday and we all loved the venue, food and drinks. Everyone said it was a great choice and would go again.
Great ambience and music on a Saturday night. Fantastic service and cocktails were amazing. The food was average and bit overpriced for what it was but overall a fantastic evening.
Great food and amazing service from the team!
Gnocchi was great. Arancini balls average. Pork spring rolls average for the price. Now i expected better from their service but it was slow unorganised we arrived there at 5 hardly anyone there we didn’t receive any of our food until 6:30 everyone that arrived after us started receiving their food so my partner asked what the deal was. We then received our food straight after, the waitress obviously did not put it through to the kitchen these kind of mistakes happen i guess but if we had said nothing we would of sat there with no food its just common sense to observe your customers tables and realise hey there food is still not out. Maybe they need more staff training to be more efficient 🙂
Highly recommend this Restaurant Being a Coeliac Owen went above and beyond to ensure both my wife was looked after Food and service great Will definitely be going back
Very helpful staff did their best to find us a spot away from the DJ but still quite noisy for a restaurant. Great service. Fabulous cocktails and superb slow roast lamb. Spent about $100 a head for 2 cocktails each, bottle of wine and a light dinner for 4. Good value for the location and quality.
The empty restaurant should have been an indication of how bad our experience was going to be. The chicken wings were oily and inedible, the gnocchi was starchy and tasteless. The pizzas were hit and miss. Such a shame as 2 years ago this place was buzzing and the food was amazing! The waitress tried her best but after asking 5x for side plates to eat the chicken wings we were done.
Rather disappointing - very poor service with drinks taking ages, staff forgetting our wine and needing 3 or more reminders, and asking twice for napkins after we had to wipe the table ourselves which was wet with the humidity and drinks (no coasters); not asking if we wanted sides/suggestions, or checking on the meal. The basics just lacking. Gnocchi was 4 pieces of mashed potato. Not worth the price.
Love the restaurant, atmosphere and food. Would only encourage slightly more attentive service. Still up there with our Noosa favourites.
The service was very slick - professional and efficient. Food was very good. Sometimes it got too loud with the DJ, but overall it has a fun vibe. I would definitely return and recommend this place to others
We ordered two affogatos, with no alcohol. We received glasses akin to champagne flutes, containing a short black with a dessert spoon of cream floated on top.
Apart from this not being a (non-alcoholic) affogato, we were also charged $15 each! Absolutely ludicrous!
We queried the receipt which listed the coffees as ‘coffee liqueurs’. Which they obviously were not. We were told by the waitress that she could not give us affogatos or cost them that way, as your computer system only allows affogatos to be ordered with liquer.
Completely disgraceful paying $30 for two short blacks and two spoons of cream.
As locals, we will not be returning.
Our main course took over an hour to come out however, once it did we were very satisfied with the meal.
We ordered the share lamb shoulder, highly recommend for 2 or 3 people.
Our table of six adults ate here on 3 January 2020.
The restaurant was understaffed. One member of our table had to follow-up his beer order after some time. In reply, the waitress said: 'We are doing our best.' We waited for our food for some time after our orders were placed.
Two adults shared the seafood tasting experience for $115. They considered it over-priced for the quantity of seafood given. They were also not impressed with the quality of the seafood tasting experience which included fish tails.
My lamb pizza had too much fetta which was overpowering.
A staff member appeared to injure or hurt himself behind the bar. We all looked at him while his co-workers appeared to take the injury as a joke.
The restaurant ambiance is fine. The toilets are very clean.
Lovely night out with family visiting interstate
Service poor. Had to chase drink order several times. Entree very expensive for the portion size.
Christmas Eve family dinner. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great Pizzas in an upscale, relaxed setting.
After having a previous positive dining experience here about a year earlier, we were surprised by the disappointing evening at Miss Moneypennys this week. While waiting for our reserved table outside (which wasn’t ready when we arrived despite calling nearly a month early to reserve on the patio) we grabbed a drink in the dining room. Every drink we ordered, we were told to pay for up front. We then moved to the patio and ordered dinner where we were told to pay again up front? When my partner enquired, our server said it was policy to pay as you order if you sit outside due to many dine and dash instances. We found it insulting and strange seeing as we watched the party of 10 beside us splitting and paying for their bill AFTER eating and ordering more and more drinks... this “policy” also doesn’t align with how we were asked to pay in the dining room as well. Pretty insulting and made us feel uncomfortable. The food itself was pretty average and did not justify the high price tag. When we came last year, we ordered the lamb shoulder which was served with different sauces but this time it was served on its own and was rather bland. Our blonde Brazilian waitress was also really unfriendly and clearly didn’t want to be there. Most of the staff were on their phones, chatting inside or just completely gone so the sub-par service didn’t help how thrown we felt when asking to pay for our bill upfront... something you’d expect at mcdonalds. Not a sit down fine dining restaurant. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.
Amazing food and unique cocktails, friendly staff and nice decor and atmosphere
We were disappointed with our meal. Being locals we took an international visitor there and would not return or recommend to others.
Service was sub-standard. The dishes we shared and were mostly decent but nothing stood out as particularly excellent, however we gave feedback on the prawn dish because there was hardly any meat and it was too difficult to pull it off the cut open prawns. The feedback was taken, the dish removed and nothing further commented on it and the dish remained on our bill.
Wrong wine served, lack of knowledge of available spirits and the list goes on.
Really disappointed and a little embarrassed we chose to take someone there, when there are so many better places on Hastings street to showcase Noosa.
Overpriced, terrible service, my partner actually had to get up and get the water jug to refill our glasses, waiters walked past our table of empty plates numerous times before we had to ask for our table to be cleared. Some food was fresh some you could tell had been sitting in the buffet for hours. Definitely not worth $95 a head
Delicious food and cocktails 🙂 Really lovely relaxed ambience. Great spot on Hastings St.
I have been going to miss moneypenny’s For their Sunday brunch since pretty well the start. I used to love it and take all our visitors there at least once. But those days are over, why? Well my last visit left me a sour taste when they charged me 35$ for my 3 years old who barely ate anything,
Most expensive kid’s meal ever! Pizza used to be included but now you have to pay an extra 10$ for it. The dessert buffet used to be full of cakes and macarons, now there is barely anything but fruits! 200$ for 2 adults and 1 toddler was definitely overpriced for what it was!
Fabulous evening at Miss Moneypenny’s! My father in law’s 80th and they generously gave us some bubbles and made a fuss of him - so lovely! Thank you!
We shared the slow cooked lamb which was divine!
Highly recommend and we’ll definitely return!
Unfortunately throw visit was not a great one. Our drinks order was incorrect, our chips and croquettes were cooked to within an inch of their life and the pork belly hadn’t been rendered down and was 75% fat and no crackle. Hopefully this was just a bad night as other times I’ve been have been great.
We enjoyed a bottomless brunch on Sunday and could not fault the food, the vibe, the cocktails or the service. We will be back for sure and highly recommend this occasion to all.
We always have a lovely night and especially enjoy the food and wine.
As soon as we arrived the atmosphere was contagious great vibe ..., food was ok couldn’t say you must go back for that if you know what I mean..., the DJ looked bored as he was playing the same beat of music very repetitive .... we walked by the Sofitel and the music made you want to walk in even if it was for a drink !
Overall atmosphere was rather loud for a restaurant. $46 for just a steak which was pretty average. Partner got the Portuguese chicken whxih came out without the sides so literally just a piece of chicken on its own. Staff tried to rectify by bringing out the sides separately around 20minutes after. Would not recommend going here.
It was a great experience! staff were nice and the atmosphere was beautiful. I think maybe the price could be a little bit cheaper or atleast a little more food on the plate would be nice, My girlfriend and I both had the gnochi and did really enjoy the mushrooms (I usually love mushrooms) but found they were a little rubbery and didnt necessarily suite the dish! otherwise it was a great experience! will definately go again!
