The fish and chips were fantastic! We are visiting family in the UK and had a large group, 4 adults, a teenager and two children (7 total). We were able to book a table and it was ready as soon as we arrived. Our family who lives in the UK were very impressed as well, they commented that this was proper fish and chips. Definitely try the
mushy peas! I had never heard of them but they were out of this world good!! Miller’s was awesome, service was great, food was great and we loved it. We are spoiled and will compare all other fish and chips against Miller’s.

We like Millers Fish & Chips. It reliably has gluten free Fish and Chips and the quality is very good. Generous portions, too. It's a real treat to be able to go out and not worry about gluten.

Great seating area and table service next to the main takeaway area. Great feel to the interior design. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is top quality. A great place to get proper fish and chips!!

Excellent Senior fish and chips with a side dish, priced as per their rivals!
Only thing is that a 3 course Senior Lunch is only £2 dearer than this at Wetherby Whaler.
Perhaps you can match this and then can be fully 5 stars...

Lovely food, and great service. We often get Miller's fish & chips to take away as we live nearby, but we will definitely visit the restaurant again.!

The quality of the food was excellent and our waiter Jon was attentive and helpful, with an excellent sense of humour. We were accompanied by relatives who are also food bloggers on a round-the-world trip sampling the best local cuisine; they were very impressed by Miller's and rightly so!

Would not go out my way to visit. Restaurant clean and tidy and service excellent. Did not think the fish met expectations. Small fillets cooked in batter that left the fish dry and tough at the edges. Chips very ordinary. Thought it was a bit expensive for portion size and quality.

Excellent gluten free fish & chips with choice of fish. Small seating area behind take out service. It's not easy to source a genuine GF chippy so a real find for this part of Yorkshire.

Millers Fish & Chips is a very special place. Their receipt of the 2018 award for best fish and chips in the UK is well-deserved. My partner had their regular fish and I had their gluten free fish. We agreed that it was the best fish and chips we had ever eaten. For me it was truly special because after developing a gluten sensitivity about 8 years ago, I thought I would never eat 'real' fish and chips again. How wrong I was! Millers is well worth the cab ride from central York. Just a fantastic experience.

Best fish & chips I have had for many years!! We sat in the restaurant and it was very good indeed, service great, plenty of space for our party of 6 and kids finished everything, as did the adults. Next time were back in York we will be back.

Millars fish and chips are the best. Gluten free option is delicious soft tasty cod and a crispy batter. Nice succulent chips to go. The service is great really enjoyed it will be back very soon

Our favourite fish and chip restaurant! Always excellent food. We both had plaice which is our favourite with perfect chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce, accompanied by a glass of wine.

Great place, very popular, definitely worth the drive out of York for the best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time! Forget the Wetherby Whaler and go find this place. Modern, clean dining area, friendly staff, and better toilets than my en-suite. We will definitely be back!

Took elderly parents for a lunch treat. Great there was a life bite option to suit their appetite. Served piping hot and nothing was too much trouble. The fish was beautiful, so fresh.

Space between tables was good, the decor was really nice and the loo was on the same level and easily accessible.
