Mille Lire promises a constantly-changing menu of regional Italian cuisine. And is a nod to “la dolce vita,” or “the sweet life,” of Chef Matarese's childhood in Italy. Diners can look forward to antipasti, along with pizzas fired in an Italian oven and pastas made fresh daily with an imported pasta-maker. Entrees include chianti-braised short ribs, diver scallops with cauliflower puree, octopus, and much more.
A full menu of beer, wine, and hand-crafted cocktails will keep diners from going thirsty. A curated wine list features the best expressions of Italian regions that perfectly pair with Chef Giuliano's creations.

My favorite restaurant in 6 States! In spite of the place being packed (3 separate large groups) - Chef Matarese and staff's attention to individual detail was impeccable. Appetizers are so wonderful it is truly difficult to make a "wrong" selection. As for main courses, I am not certain I have had Halibut that was Chef Matarese's equal. Mille Lire's food faithfully reminds us of our travels in Italy and why we do love the place, the staff and especially the food experience. There is a reason the Italian Embassy has blessed this Dallas outpost as one of it's own. This is as good as it gets folks - the real deal - just like being there. BTW: Wine under $100 on Monday/Tuesday is 1/2 price - what a deal!.
The food was terribly disappointing. We had the grilled octopus as an appetizer and it was drizzled in a sauce that was overdone and made it too spicy for us to enjoy. This should have been offered on the side. The Caesar salad was dry and flavorless. The risotto was thick with sweetness because of a pasty brown gravy that tasted more of a jar than that of a fine chef. Very disappointing to say the least! Our server, however, was lovely and professional and the environment pleasant.
Food was wonderful! Our server, Kassidy, was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave great recommendations. The ambiance was terrific. We had a very nice meal and look forward to dining at Mille Lire again!
Fabulous, the food is prepared with a lot of thought and care...
Great and perfect Italian food. Outstanding. Service great again. So nice. We will be back.
Excellent meal and service. We will ask for Matthew again!
First time dining for dinner, and the food was outstanding! Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. We took his advice and ordered some things he recommended that would not have normally appealed to me, and the flavors were out of this world! Don't forget to try the house made burrata. The chef is exceptional!
Not their best night. Loud and intrusive music and very slow service (although, to be fair, this was acknowledged and free desserts offered as recompense. The food, when it arrived, was good
This restaurant was absolutely the best Italian in Dallas as it’s stated. The food was excellent, great variety of delicious entrees. And don’t forget to order dessert, they have an awesome panettone bread pudding & tiramisu. Truly authentic Italian. Service was above top notch. Atmosphere was great, quiet but yet very bright & cheerful. Can’t wait to go back.
We had an amazing evening with awesome food and great service.
The food was so so delicious. Their truffle Cacio e Peppe was worth every penny!
Enjoyed our server and the food was amazing
Mille Lire is truly one of Dallas' finest restaurants in all regards! Keep up the good work guys!!
We ate at Mille Lire on New Year’s Eve and our food was excellent! Our waiter, Matthew was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. I plan to make reservations for next week with other friends so we look forward to enjoying our food and friends again!
The manager who served us completely forgot about us and we ended up having to go to the bar. We sat with Hasni at the bar and he was phenomenal, but both of my parents were extremely disappointed by the manager’s lack of service.
I was so excited to try Mille Lire but the service was bad bad bad. I usually give servers the benefit of the doubt but our server made mistake after mistake with drinks and the check. Our appetizer was amazing but my pasta was lacking flavor.
Having been to ML twice before I expected so much more than was delivered on Monday. The service was very slow. Details of orders were not noticed. The lamb meatballs are wonderful but our order was one short of our request. One dish was charred and not in a positive way. They did take it back and did not charge for that dish. It was half-priced wine night and the bill came through without the discount. I will go back to give the restaurant another chance, keeping in mind my previous wonderful experiences. It was so disappointing the other night.
Delicious food with great service! I’ve been here for happy hour and loved it so I thought I’d give brunch a try. I wasn’t sure how it would be since there isn’t a ton of food on the menu but I love authentic Italian food. We were very pleased with our experience. I love their Prosecco bar! The flavors are so unique and definitely a great deal for $3 each. We split the burger and the fettuccine and there was plenty of food. Both dishes were delicious—especially the fettuccine! Would definitely go back.
Food great, service not so much
We visited on Christmas Eve. It seemed we were being rushed from the start . Our waiter wanted to take drink orders and appetizers all at the same time without having a chance to really look at the menu. We ordered three appetizers and eventually received one. There was a long wait for the entrees and they were just ok, nothing special. The Manager offered complimentary deserts for the appetizer snafu but we declined and were ready to leave.
BTW, this is a $$$ restaurant not $$ as Open Table reports. Entrees were $25-$45
First off, it’s a modern decor in a big building with parking. Upon entering, it doesn’t feel like a typical Italian place. And the menu isn’t traditional. Our server was great and very knowledgeable. Would be a good date night or special experience. The food: Lamb meatball appetizer was great. Salads were just ok and pretty pricy. Main courses were all upscale and unique. So if you want fettuccine Alfredo you’re out of luck. We had short ribs, cappelletti butternut squash and ricotta (yum), squid ink pasta (just ok).
It was a busy Saturday night and we went here bc they took reservations. Probably wouldn’t go again. Too pricy and menu didn’t offer enough of our traditional favorites.
Celebrated anniversary. Wonderful atmosphere. Good food and service.
Attentive and professional service. Food was acceptable but not outstanding. Oyster appetizer served luke warm.
For this price point I was accepting much more.
Mille Lire is my new favorite restaurant. The service is just great. The bartender can really put together tasty cocktails. The food is wonderful. A beautiful venue. All around great experience.
Great date night with my wife. This place never fails to deliver an outstanding meal.
We were accused of "stealing appetizers." We had some people come in later for our table and appetizers were served. The people who arrived later assumed we ordered these and started eating before realizing the table didn't. The manager then came over to our table and said those won't for you and accused us. Know your clientele first and teach your servers to ask if the table ordered the food first before putting them down on the table and walking away.
Really slow service but they were extremely friendly and food was fantastic
Everytime we come here, we have a good experience. The food is great and service fabulous. Also, love the ease of parking in the parking garage underneath, especially on a cold rainy night!
We went for Thanksgiving brunch (for the second year in a row) and loved the ambiance and entire experience. The music was perfect - jazz at just the right sound level. Service was friendly and timed just right. The cocktails were outstanding - some of the best we've ever had. The food, as always, was delicious. Hard to find better housemade pasta in Dallas. The chef knows his flavors and never fails to satisfy. Lastly, the decor and ambiance is intimate and inviting. We always feel like we're in NYC in the space. It's cosmopolitan, yet warm and welcoming.
Went for my birthday dinner, made me feel like a VIP! The dessert was fabulous. We started with the lamb meatballs and the croquettes. Delicious! My friend had the octopus and I had the Mille Lire Gnocchi which was very good. Loved the ambiance not too noisy. All in all it was a delicious and fun meal!
From beginning to end, service, food, selection, ambience, truly world class!!
Jamal is a terrific waiter. We will ask for him every time we come.
Went for lunch. We had to ask someone to wait on us. After we got a waiter, service was fine. Waiter apologized but we already had a bad feeling about the place. Food was ok.
Our waiter was not great and the food was just okay, our lobster was undercooked and there was no attempt to make it right. We have been here before and had a good experience but this time it was atrocious.
Service was great, food was delicious. You gotta try the octopus, our favorite dish of the night.
Cute and unique place! We loved it!
had a great dinner. food was quality and drinks on point. service was great.
Authentic Italian food based on our time in Italy. We enjoyed everything we ordered and will definitely go back!
