Brilliant as always. One of the most interesting, inventive, and tasty dinner experiences Melbourne has to offer.
It was great! Great service! Pairing of wines with cheeses was awesome!
Always such a lovely night out. And reasonably priced too. We were also welcomed with a complimentary glass of mulled wine, which was a nice addition on a winter's night. Thank you!
If you like cheese, and wine, or beer, or gin even, Milk the Cow is the place for you. Their wine (or beer or gin) and cheese flights are a perfect way to start an evening or end a week. Generous, delicious and well balanced. Will definitely be going back
Very knowledgeable and attentive staff. Very happy to provide alternatives. Highly recommend.
Great night, interesting menu, good variety of drinks. Attentive staff, lovely atmosphere.
My partner and I did enjoy our time. The ambiance was cosy
Outstanding service would recommend to anyone. A great place to bring friends or family who are lovers of cheese and wine.
I was so excited to go here after having been years before. But unfortunately the experience wasn’t as great. We were forgotten about multiple times. When our cheese/wine pairings came out they were placed on the table and the server immediately left without saying anything to us so we had no idea what we were eating or drinking. The food and wine were still great it just wasn’t the dining experience I was hoping for.
Great food, and great ambience. Our only criticism was that the waiter spilt dish of pickles on my husband's coat and offered no compensation at all. Did not expect dry cleaning but perhaps a complimentary drink as apology would have been appreciated.
Very pleasant service, staff was very nice and caring. Cheeses were exquisite!
Great environment to be in and the staff have always been so knowledgeable when it comes to presenting the boards and the life of the wine/cheeses. Overall a wonderful experience (:
The food was amazing. But the service was terrible unfortunately. Ordered the degustation for 2 and were forgotten halfway through for over an hour. Needed to ask repeatedly for everything and they missed 2 glasses of wine for us + dishes were delivered out of order.
A real shame.
Beautifully matched cheese & wine flight. The staff were so incredibly attentive and friendly.
Lovely selection of cheese. Wine matched well. Cosy intimate place. Atmospheric.
Food was delicious, but the service was super poor. Not only did they forget to reschedule our booking for the night, but also did the waiters not pay attention to us - sitting outside - at all. Asking for more bread, they came back outside after 15 minutes when our fondue was already hard, admitting they forgot. I also had to walk inside to separately ask for forks as no one would come to check on us.
What great service and beautiful cheeses and wines. Highly recommend to anyone who loves both wine and cheese.
Great place with an amazing cheese selection, good price value, attentive staff, nice environment and an interesting menu option. I strongly recommend the cheese fondue. I just do not rate it as a 5 stars restaurant because the dishes took quite a while to arrive to the table and one of our orders was no sent to the kitchen.
The food was excellent and I love milk the cow. I have been multiple times in the last few years. However it wasn’t the best experience recently when I booked in advance to secure a table inside and we were put outside and I asked if there was anyway we could sit inside or wait until an inside table was available. I understand there were restrictions to how many people could be inside but it was disappointing. Additionally, due to restrictions that meant there was less tables to serve but the service was very slow. We waited 30 minutes for our flights and baked camembert to come which was longer than usual service. Then we had for some reason limited bread and crackers for our flights, so we had to request more and the waiter forgot. So we then had to ask 2 more times to a different employee who also forgot and then the original waiter. By the time we received the crackers and bread the baked camembert was cold and it wasn’t enjoyable because of that. I really love Milk the cow but the service was really unexpectedly not up to the usual standard and I think it is important to mention. Thank you.
Amazing food, great staff and a perfect date night. Enjoyed every moment of our first time dining experience with Milk the Cow
Great food. Great service and advice with wine pairings. Stools a bit uncomfortable
Great food and wine, excellent service. The baked brie with honey is especially good!
Loved the entire experience. will defiantly be back.
Excellent service, the wine flights are great! Would highly recommend if you like cheese.
Had an amazing experience. First time going somewhere like this and would definitely come back again
The only disappointing thing was the lack of single staff.
Had a great night guys! Appreciated as always legends
Food and drinks were amazing as always, service was great except when we asked for more food they forgot to put it through which was a little disappointing. A great place to go on a cold winter night, look forward to returning.
Overall and amazing experience. Would highly recommend
Something totally different in a dining experience. At first glance the menu makes it difficult to choose anything because it is all cheese. Once you make selections it is surprising that you can have an entirely cheese based meal. The food was really good and very different.
Sat down for 15 minutes before being served even water. It was just hard getting served in general.
If you love cheese and wine this is the place to be. A fantastic experience so add this one to your list of must dos
Loved it, definitely will be back.
The surcharge seemed very very steep especially given this wasn't a public holiday. $75 for a $600 is ridiculous.
absolutely a great place to learn about cheese and wine. Great place to take friends
Staff were excellent and really tailored our experience to ensure we got the most out of all they could offer. Great food and wine, and I cannot recommend the tasting paddles enough!
Cheese flight for 2 was delicious but the crumbed Camembert was the winner. Staff attentive and helpful.
If you want good cheese and wine this is the place!
Wonderful experience. Enjoyed the ambiance. Service and food. Will go back.
The food was amazing, it had a great atmosphere and tge staff were very friendly and helpful
