    Not as good as last time. When I made the booking, I informed it was our anniversary, but we were seated right in front of the till, not a very romantic spot. We found that compared with our previous visit many years ago, the addition of bread was very good, but this time we weren't ask for preferences for the wine flight  and we both got the same wine and cheeses. The cheeses and the wine were delicious but the pairing was not good. Starting with a parmesan type and after 2 types of creamy bries didn;t make much sense and the wines didn't pair at all.

    Delicious food. Well explained by the waitress. We ordered too much to eat and had to get a doggy bag. Love the decor. Drinks- wine and prosecco a bit expensive though

    Lovely staff, service, dinner spot ( we had a table in the upstairs lounge). Was lovely to share cheeses, meats etc with my daughter and her friend. Great service on the night, food was delicious and plenty of sides- crackers etc. Lovely night.

    If someone is paying cash, perhaps have a proper float to give change back to your customers and avoid having to go across the road to get the change.

    -Cheese fondue is classic and very good. However,should have been more. -Onion soup was below par: watery, poor on flavour and stale bread. -Croque Monsieur pretty average and presented as tostie which it pretty much was. No comparison with the true French thing. -cheese and farmers platter were really nice. The upstairs room was great: cosy and good ambiance, good seating, and easy on the conversations.

    Staff very knowledgeable and friendly service. We had the whole upstairs to ourself which was perfect, super cosy and comfortable. Deep fried Camembert wasn’t available which was potentially devastating 😃 ….. until we were able to substitute it for Brie. Highly recommend.

    After looking forward to going to Milk the Cow Carlton, many items were not available from the menu (from memory the baked Camembert, Brie, potatoes for dipping into the fondue, cheesecake, some of the wines including the Sangiovese). This was quite a lot of the menu, and there were still diners arriving after our table at 2pm on a weekend. The reason they gave was the delivery wasn’t expected for a few more days. This was pretty disappointing. The staff also didn’t appear to want to be there. The service was pretty poor.
