We got a cosy booth on the window with it raining outside. Such a nice pub in the hills. Excellent food and service! We were the family that had a young toddler and spilt a full pint of beer everywhere. They were quick to cleanup and replace our drink no worries. Thanks for looking after us!

Food was great, fairly noisy inside, we sat outside where they had the plastic awnings and heaters on so it was less noisy, they did have a guy singing inside as well, not a place to go to if you are wanting to sit inside and chat alot 😁 other than that it was a great afternoon.

Went there for Father's day and it was our second visit and we ordered the beef roast and it was advertised as medium rate but came out well done and we got like 2 very small slices of beef which was really disappointing as the last time we got a roast dinner, it was way more beef. The kids meals were great, perfecr portion size. Went to Micawber for the roast dinner and left disappointed.

We waited over 2 hours for our food and who knew that a High Top Seating Public Bar was Bar Stools. We had a 41-week pregnant lady, a 79 yo lady who had recently had hip surgery and a 65 yo with a replacement knee and they sat us on bar stools. When I mentioned that the 41-week pregnant lady could not get on a bar stool, I was told there was nothing they could do because I had booked a high table. How was I supposed to know that high seating public bar was bar stools? It never mentioned this and I told them we had a these people but, the staff still refused to do anything. Had I known we would be waiting over 2 hours for food, I would have gone elsewhere. Our experience was an awful one, the food when it arrived was nice, but after waiting 2 hours it was awful and did we get an apology, no?
