Will not disappoint . Great food . Great Drinks. Good people.
Great food and service. We particularly enjoyed the zarape de pato as an appetizer and the buena vida margarita.
The low markings were due to the outside dining experience. It was not good. It was too cold to get comfortable and where I was seated I was getting wet from the rain.
Truly enjoyable break from pandemic closeting. Can't say enough about Mi Vida from start to finish.
Date night was amazing. We sat on the upstairs patio and it was fabulous. We felt comfortable with the atmosphere and safety measures. The guac was amazing. Our server was incredible. Overall, great experience and meal.
My sister and I went to Mi Vida for a Christmas Eve brunch and had a blast the food was amazing we have a few of the deviled eggs, the french toast and ham it was so tasty! The service was great we were greeted by a very nice host at the door and our waitress was extremely attentive. All safety protocols were observed. They made our rainy Christmas eve a lot of fun!
The food and service were great! The drinks are definitely overpriced and not well made!
Definitely recommend the spicy cranberry margarita and the guacamole!
Great location. Nice food. Great service. Nice drinks.
Wonderful service from our waiter who was obviously experienced and made great recommendations. The heated patio was comfortable on a very cold December night. We had beef enchiladas and the carne asada. The carne asada was good, the beef enchiladas were very filling.
Service was excellent
We had a great night celebrating my birthday. Everything that we order was amazing! Our server (David) was the best! The ambience and atmosphere was everything we needed it to be. First time there and it exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be back! I only have one picture (dessert).
Very average experience. Second time here(first time the food was better but the service was worse). Obviously won’t be back. The food lacked flavor(either salty, or tasteless)and looked like it was sitting under the heating lamp for a while. One dish we didn’t even eat and mentioned that we didn’t like it. Not even apology was said. Service was on the level of take orders and bring food. There was no recommendations made except one dish even when asked. Nowadays that’s just not enough.
Good food, although don't think salsa should be something that you pay for at a restaurant. Queso fundido was excellent. Service was good.
Really good view! Fast service and really good food
Amazing! Best Mexican food in DC!
I went there for a special occasion and absolutely loved it. The food was fantastic. We were seated outside under a heater and the ambiance was just perfect. We completed the meal with desserts. They told us when we checked in that a 2hr limit was for everyone at each table. We maxed that out as we savored both happy hour and the regular menu. Highly recommended!
Expensive dinner but it was so goo. I recommend the family style dinner.
Excellent diner at Mi Vida down at the Wharf. Definitely recommend, and we will be going back soon.
It was great!!!!!
The service was not that great. It took the waitress a long time to take our order and check on us. I take it because the tip was already included secondary to the pandemic so maybe she felt the need not to give exceptional service. Also, we were served alcohol beverages that we ordered. 15 minutes later, the same drinks come out again though we had already received them. I made a joke with the waiter who brought the drinks and said, “if you’d like to give them to us for free, we will take them”. He turned around and said, “you know what, sure. You got it. Why throw it away?” We responded, “wow. Really? That’s so nice of you, we were joking.” Within 10 minutes, a short guy (I’m guessing a manager) comes to our table and tells us that they thought we hadn’t received the drinks and he was there to take them back b/c the margarita was frozen and wouldn’t taste right anyway as we were still working on our first round. I asked him if he had come out to the patio to question us-the customers-about a mistake the restaurant made and tried to say the quality wouldn’t be the same bc the drinks were still sitting on the table. He proceeded to say, “no, but I can get you something else”. It was really weird and unprofessional. We didn’t ask for the 2nd round of drinks. The restaurant made a mistake and brought them to us and the guy told us it was on him...just to have the manager come out and remove them from our table and give us a lame excuse about the quality of the frozen margarita sitting out in the heat. So again, you’d rather throw the drinks away, than do something nice for your customers that was offered by a staff member? Hmmm. Other than the service and the manager removing drinks from our table and giving a lame excuse, the food was good.
This place has a great vibe. I love the ambiance by the water at the Wharf. Happy hour pitcher is also a great value!
The early lunch was perfect and the overall experience was great. We look forward going back soon.
Our meal at Mi Vida was excellent, among the best Mexican we've had this far north. They handled the covid protocols very well.
The food and service were outstanding. Plantains and guacamole were delicious. One of my favorite spots.
The top level has an absolute awesome view of the Potomac ! Great drinks with affordable happy hour prices !
It was Flawless with an outdoor view
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was stellar. It's a little pricey, but you know it's worth it when you taste it. Can not recommend this place enough!
Great location with multiple outdoor spaces (2nd floor is great for sunset). Approachable, upscale Mexican food and drinks. Beverages come in glassware and the bathrooms are automated (simple pleasures during COVID). Solid HH, too.
Hard to find a place these days that actually has the space to keep 6 ft apart even with every other table is being not used.
Menu changes every 6 months or so, so the breath taking meal I previously enjoyed at this place last year, was gone. The entrees that took it's place werent disappointing either, but having whatever that dish was before, would have been the bees knees.
Either way, great service and good food. Prices definitely reflect the location, but with that being said, cost is pretty much what we expected in this setting. Recommend for special occasions or if you got the money to frequent this place.
Food came out ASAP and was delicious.
Great food!
Another excellent experience at Mi Vida! Plenty of outdoor seating was available, sat on the upstairs balcony with a great view. The service and food were outstanding as well, had guacamole for the app, then had the baby back ribs and squash side, wife had the Branzino filet, both were delicious. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in The Wharf area of DC. It was crowded on The Wharf, but 90% wore masks.
Food and service outstanding. Best queso I’ve ever had. Service was attentive but never felt rushed. Will definitely return. Thank you!!
We sat outside on the third floor balcony with a beautiful view of the harbor. I have generally avoided the wharf area in the past because it gets so crowded but Mi Vida was very relaxing (probably about 25% capacity). The food & drinks were good - we were able to take advantage of happy hour specials - and the service was very friendly while maintaining all of the COVID requirements. Will definitely go back again.
Excellent as usual, a bit pricey but totally worth it!
Great mexican food, margheritas, and reasonably priced at the wharf!
Our seever was A1. Her section was dry and we could tell that her tables were no fun at all but she kept her poker face. I hope she see's this. We will be back
This was our first visit, and it won't be our last. Wonderful food and ambiance. We were seated on the outdoor balcony which was the best! All dishes were raved about by our party of 4.
Best Mexican food I had in a long time. Very romantic setting
