We utilise the best ingredients Tasmania has to offer with an influence of the sea. Our food is predominately cooked over fire using our Asado Grill and wood oven.
Our menu is seasonal and changes regularly depending on the days catch, best enjoyed with our small and large sharing plates.
A 100% Tasmanian wine list has been designed to pair with our menu and includes wines from our tap system plus boutique Tasmanian Beers & Spirits.

Was a busy restaurant but not too crowded. Staff were attentive but perhaps stressed a bit due to the busy night. One of our meals was mis-ordered as a result. Superb views from the restaurant with great food. Good selection of Tasmanian wines. Notwithstanding the mis-order, it was very good.

Great place to wine and dine by the beach with spectacular views. If your visiting with your small dog, there is a place near the entrance to secure your dog with a water bowl. Definitely will be back on our next visit to the area.
Wonderful restaurant with fab service, very attentive and super friendly. The pizzas are AMAZING, traditional Italian style. If not staying in Binalong - but on the east coast, this restaurant is worth the drive.

When in Binalong Bay / Bay of Fires region you must dine at Meresta eatery - staff are friendly, food was delicious & fresh & setting overlooking the bay was perfect.
We had steak and pizza. Steak wasn’t really great but Pizza was really wonderful. We ordered Pizza another night for takeaway which was great again. A bit pricy for some items for what you get in return (ie charging for two slices of bread with some oil) but overall recommended.
This restaurant is in a fantastic position over looking the sea, well worth booking in advance and asking for a seat on the verandah.

Beautiful view. Very nice food and wine. Staff were very busy but as attentive as they could be. Only negative was that I checked the menu online for vegetarian meals before I booked and there were a few, but when I got to the restaurant the only meal I could order was vegetarian pizza (but it was quite nice).

One of the best locations for lunch or dinner
Food was great. However we had booked an outdoor table, when we arrived we waited 10 minutes to be seated and we were seated inside. I asked if we could sit outside as per our booking and was told it was booked out. As we ate our meals there where many tables outside available, bit disappointing. Service was also not great.
Lovely outlook of the beach and ocean.... food was fresh and delicious.... service outstanding.

We dined in & had takeaway a few times while we were staying at Binalong. Was absolutely delicious every time. The service is wonderful, food divine & view to die for! The dolphins in the bay came right on cue also - thanks Team Meresta!

Wonderful decision to book a lunch table. Highly recommend the whole baby snapper cooked to perfection flavoursome with hint of smoke from woodfire. Could not fault. Rustic chips crisp and very much enjoyed the blood orange and fennel salad. Partner ordered double burger a challenge to finish it all Looking forward to a return visit in the near future.

Delicious pizza! Other menu items also looked very tasty.
We were very disappointed. It was our wedding anniversary and we were so looking forward to a meal out. We had decided what we would eat from the online menu, but it was different to the menu on the night. We made bad choices. The 'fish wing special' sounded interesting, but it was the part of the fish we throw back. Very unappealing with a fish fin sticking up front and centre in the plate. In fairness, we were told it was a small meal. The blood orange salad consisted mainly of rocket and what seemed to be the hard core of a cabbage. There were four minute pieces of orange which went well with the rocket. The pizza was average. I couldn't say anything at the end of the meal to the waitress, because I was close to tears and just wanted to leave so I could have a good cry! Such a shame.
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It’s a lovely place with gorgeous views and very nice decor and art works.
Food was very good although little pricey. Staff very attentive and helpful. Atmosphere was good as well. Definitely will visit again when come this way
Ate there 3 times in a 6 night stay. Lovely food, friendly and personable staff, and great value. Could not recommend more highly, just make sure you book as they do get busy.
Started off well with great entrees but downhill with service from there - waited 50 mins for next course to arrive and then we were asked to change tables mid dinner as they had another group booked (for 2 hours after us - we should’ve been done by then if they were better organised!) Pointed out their error and didn’t even receive an apology. Will not visit again - being the only place in Binalong isn’t enough to justify trying again - will save it for somewhere nice in st Helens.
