Mercato e Cucina
Excellent food and setting 10/10! Look forward to my next visit!
Fabulous food, usually great service and a very attractive and comfortable cutout. We’ve been many times. The only negative this time was that the dishes arrived all out of order, entrees came after the mains, and long times between individual (four) main courses.
I have been going to Mercato e Cucina for many years now and am very rarely disappointed with anything about the place.
Food was Fantastic staff friendly and warm table set perfectly plenty of room we will be back
The ambience is good. The children enjoyed their "kids" meals immensely. Our adult meal of beef cheek pappardelle was terrible. Service was good at the start but we waited too long to place our dessert order and then we had an unbearably long wait for our gelato scoops to be served. The pizzas being served to tables looked delicious but, unfortunately, my husband won't go back. He loves food but we found the strong lemon flavour of the pappardelle and the pale beef cheek mush just too disgusting.
Have been here multiple times and usually been very satisfied. The food is still good, but service wasn't as good as it used to be. Restaurant wasn't full, but staff didn't seem as attentive. Took quite a while for someone to clear our plates after main, just didn't feel as attentive as previous visits.
The food was great and service. As we booked online we were seated right at the end of the cushion bench but on chairs (bit rocky) and a table. It felt a bit like we were just squeezed on the end and not a proper table. But other than that, it was a great dinner. We always enjoy coming and eating the yummy food :)
Great place to catch up for a bite and drink the underground parking also helps
Great place, can be a little noisy but good noise. Food is great.
Very suitable choice for gathering with family/friends supported by tasty menu options and efficient and friendly service.
I hadn't been here for a while and it was a very disappointing revisit, not what I remembered it to be, they sold off the market side to a Gym and service was slow and food was average. I has changed the whole ambience of the place, I was so sad to see these changes.
Recently went to Mercato e Cucina with some friends for dinner. The restaurant is well presented and large. The wait staff were friendly and efficient. The entrees were delicious especially the garlic pizza and salt & pepper calamari. My main wasn’t great, a little over cooked and lacking flavour but my friends were happy with their meals. The desserts were all delicious! The restaurant wasn’t too busy but was quite noisy as we were seated near a large table of dinners. The food came out quickly but we did wait a while for the check and ended up just going to the counter to pay. Would go back again for pizza and dessert.
The food was great and the service was very attentive. The atmosphere was very noisy as there was very little soundproofing on the ceiling, and it was a wooden floor. Would definitely return to this restaurant.
Great food and the reason we drove there was the Gluten Free options. Also, my 8 year old loved the special kids pizza design!
What we didn’t know about was the fantastic service - really excellent. Already recommended to friends and We’ll be back!
The entre's garlic bread, bruschetta pizza, deep fried calamari, burrata e caponata and Zucchini flowers were very good.
The second course which we ordered as share plates risotto and gnocchi were a dissappointment. the risotto lacked flavour , the wine overpowered the dish and the arborio rice was too al dente while the gnocchi had to much chilli.
Dessert was gelato which was very good.
Great food and excellent service. Staff knew the menu well and were very helpful with questions and meals for children.
A very pleasant experience. Better than I expected. Could not fault the service. Good value.
I'm a regular customer.... food is always great and waiters are always polite and friendly.
I would put another waiter on Sat nights as it gets quite busy and the current waiters are under the pump. It can take a while to get one of the waiter's attention sometimes.
We absolutely loved this place. Food was yummy and authentic. Will definitely be back
Authentic Italian food. Fresh scrumptious wood fired pizza. Best Mango dessert.
Wonderful service and the food was delicious. My salmon was cooked perfectly and my husband said his pasta ( fuselli ) was delicious. I would recommend Mercato E Cucina to anyone.
Great authentic Italian food and service. Happy to come again when next in Sydney.
Wish we weren't placed next to a 16th birthday party - they were so loud we couldn't hear each other talking! There was plenty of room elsewhere in the restaurant too. But otherwise delicious food and friendly service as always.
Really nice food. Pizzas are amazing as the crust is fresh. Nice ambience.
Went on a Wednesday night for birthday dinner. Service was very good. Food also very good. Music was a bit too loud which made a group of women next to us talk louder encouraging us to leave. Big tables should be away from couples and smaller tables. Would go there again or perhaps get takeaway/delivery.
We had a great night, the food was amazing, the service was exceptional. The menu is creative and exciting. The meal portions were generous and the was a good atmosphere. The underground parking is a plus, recommended to anyone
Staff is very friendly and they look happy to be working there. Great fresh food and quick service.
This is one of the "Best Italian Restaurants" we have been to in a long time. Exceptional food, friendly enthusiastic staff & a relaxed industrial atmosphere. This was a fun & thoroughly enjoyable evening & what made it even better...it was in the Entertainment Book, so we received a $50 discount! "Thank you"
Delicious food, a good menu and the service was a standout
it is a lovely place to catch up with family and we always go for mothers and fathers day
Service, food great. Can get a little noisy but wouldn’t stop me from going there.
Horrible service. Waitress was rude and argumentative. She made decisions to swap sauces on dishes without asking or informing us, because she felt it would be more suitable for some vegetarians in the group. The swaps were clearly a downgrade - it was the equivalent of bland marinara. When we inquired, she made it seem like we were being a burden. Only reason it has 2 stars is for the ambiance, and the other staff members seemed fine. This is not the treatment we expect from a top rated restaurant.
We had a lovely night, the service and food was great. The wait staff were attentive and very efficient. We really enjoyed our pastas.
We visited Mercato e Cucina on the recommendation of a couple of people and were not disappointed. There was one child amongst us and even that was homemade. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and it was great to watch the pasta making and kept our granddaughter amused. The food was authentic and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back
Always a pleasure to dine here. Warm friendly service and beautiful pasta.
The staff are charming, obliging and very attentive. The food very nice and good value. The space could do with some flowers to pick it up a little.
Way overpriced. Food was of a very low standard. The pasta and pizza were terrible!
Absolutely outstanding. Food and service exceptional. Our waiter was fantastic.
Hadn't been here for a little while but we thought we would go for breakfast on Mothers Day. I was surprised that the 'mercato' (market) section was no longer, but was disappointed with the quality of the food. We had a fond experience the last time we were there, but this time it failed to live up to expectation. The big breakfast dish was served cold and the pancakes were small and weren't fluffy. The price is up there, so there wasn't really value for money. I probably won't return, which is unfortunate.
