The concept behind Meraki stemmed from the Waney family’s (Zuma, Roka, La Petit Maison) special affinity for Greece, developed whilst vacationing with friends on the islands. They were enamored by the quality of ingredients, flavorsome food and the warmth of the people.
In Greek, Meraki describes the action to fulfil a vision with unwavering devotion and zeal, and represents the act of doing something with such great passion that you leave a bit of yourself in the creative process.
This ties in with the ethos of our brand, the principle of Greek hospitality (Xenia) of compassionately extending the same hospitality to a humble stranger as you would to a celebrity. The human element and social responsibility is deeply ingrained in the family’s value system and practices.
Very good quality of food and the atmosphere, a bit noisy
It was a lovely experience. Very attentive staff and tasty food. Great for sharing!
Meraki food never disappoints... fresh and delicious!
Reservation was at 9pm and table wasn’t ready until almost 10. Music was extremely load, but the food was EXCELLENT, so it was worth the wait.
Very happy with whole experience, food, staff, ambience and overall service, would definitely come again and recommend to friends and work colleagues.
(Although have been asked to rate my experience repeatedly and daily since Thursday, all of which I’ve responded too, perhaps less hassling post emails could be addressed, slight overkill!)
I've been there a few times in the past and I was really satisfied by the service and vibes of this place.
This time things were different as there was some new staff that didn't follow the flow - I believe the new staff need more training to understand the philoshophy of this style of cuisine.
Furthermore, most importantly the person that served us had dirty nails, which I find unacceptable.
Excellent food very tasty
Amazing experience and exquisite taste. Very well managed and wonderfully staffed.
On of the best, if not the best, Greek restaurant in London!
The lobster orzo is phenomenal
Our waiter made it beautiful
Ive eaten here twice and loved the food. Very good service and a really nice place with a pleasant ambience, perfect for a nice dinner without it being too crazy/ loud. Good for family, friends or on a date, good for catching up as you can talk easily.
The salt baked sea bass with greens was superb
Amazing food ! Best Greek restaurant ever💕
Fantastic food, beautiful space & keen service. The size of the portions are on the small side for the prices.
Food was great as was service! Octopus was particularly flavorful and good!
Food amazing, only had to wait 20 min for our table when they first told us it would be 5 min
Very authentic, high quality Greek food! The best I have seen in London. The fish of the day was exquisite. The flavours and aromas of the food truly transfer you to Greece. The service is always friendly and of high quality.
Highly recommended.
Delicious food and amazing menu choices. Clean, upmarket and friendly staff.
Absolutely Love this food - Greek fine dinning at its best .
I had the set lunch menu, which was beautifully cooked and presented. The menu choices were limited but perfectly adequate. Each dish was devised with imagination and a real emphasis on flavour and texture. Both starter and mains were simple yet very well executed. The service throughout was charming, efficient and unobtrusive. We were treated to a complimentary dessert of the most delightful orange-agave syrup cake. The restaurant was very busy but not noisy. The tables were well spaced. Overall, the atmosphere was relaxed and relaxing. Meraki is a gem to be enjoyed and treasured.
Delicious Sunday lunch. Service was outstanding.
This was our first visit to Meraki and because we love Greek food we were looking forward to it. The place was very busy for a Monday evening and the atmosphere was good, but some of the dishes and flavours we were not that impressive. Also, if the menu is organized as a Mezze we wondered why there were a main courses available too. The food message was a little confusing, but if you like small plates to share and want to keep adding dishes, that is possible. The generosity that usually accompanies a Greek meal was not evident and we think, in many ways, Meraki is trying a little too hard with their modern interpretation... their wines were expensive too. Overall, we enjoyed our evening, but definitely thought it could be better.
Food was excellent. My only complaint was the the amount of pita bread for the 2 dips we ordered was very small and was added to the bill. When I queried it they very kindly took it off. Otherwise we loved it there!
Overall great food and really cute place - love the decor. Some dishes stood out more than others - the tsasiki, Greek salad, grilled octopus and feta / spinach dip were some of my favorites. I did not like the eel hummus - the consistency was weird, and the mains were really pricey.
I’d definitely recommend this for a more casual, weeknight dinner.
Amazing food, a bit pricy for the kind of cuisine
The appetizers (fried baby squid, dolmades, the Mykonos salad) were great, but the keftedes wasn't very impressive. We were most disappointed by the mains - the baby chicken was fine but the lamp chops came almost raw, and even after we sent them back to be cooked, they lacked taste (which is surprising, because my mother had eaten these lamp chops just a few weeks earlier and said they were fantastic then!) Would probably not return.
Not quality for money
Have been to similar style restaurants greek tapas that are far better value for money. Bigger portions, tastier and greater effort put into the actually food not just the prrsentation.
It was a little bit salty but overall is good
Simply outstanding
I've told everyone
Great all round. Will be back soon.
The service is too slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t crowded
Wonderful service and excellent food , we had lunch here and both enjoyed the amazing Sharing plates
Great geek food ! Modern and tasty. Ambiance a bit noisy. Food came quick
great food, great service and friendly staff. I would recommend to try the fish or lamp! both are great. meatballs are amazing as well
Wow wow wow! Saw this restaurant on Masterchef and wanted to give it a try. The food was incredible - our favourite dishes were the gyros tacos, trahana & quinoa salad, lamb cutlets and octopus. Baby squid was also very good. Service was excellent and decor and ambience were 10 out of 10. The dessert (fondant) didn’t blow me away and was a little dry but I can’t wait to come back and am already planning my next visit. Oh and they make a great Negroni too. Absolutely amazing restaurant - my new favourite Greek!
We came with our three children as part of a “crawling” lunch (starter in one town, main here and desert in west London. Lovely atmosphere for a city Sunday, charming service, sophisticated Yet authentic Hreek food and generally a big thumbs up from us all
The set lunch menu was incredible! Perfect food made to perfection. The taster menu on the table next to us looked great fun too. This place is well worth a visit. I can’t wait to go back!
Birthday meal! Food was amazing, great dishes for sharing!
Lobster & orzo was 😋
Staff exceptionally helpful & friendly, great atmosphere too!
