Meet Ratings and Reviews
MEET was an interesting experience. The food variety was diverse and lovely flavours. Some however were too salty for my taste for example the broccoli. Service was exceptional and all staff were very friendly and polite. The crowd noise was a bit noisy for us elderly patrons but was tolerable. We recommend that everyone should give MEET a go and we will be returning another time for more meat.
We had the churrasco for 2x, The Meet & sides was overall absolutely to die for, The only down fall was that we were offered a lot of side refill rather then the meet itself, as we had our cards up the whole sitting but few times we had to get the waiters attention for more meet - but other than that amazing tables service and defiantly will be back.
Meet has always been one of my favourite restaurants, which is why Shane booked Valentine’s Day back in December. The place was absolutely packed and we were left seated alone for a while but the lovely Carla recognised us and got us our sides straight away! The food was the best it’s ever been and the service was great. We did order drinks and not get them (it was super busy, so it didn’t bother us), so the lovely server gave us our original drinks on the house. You’ll definitely see me back there again!
Omg, what an amazing night. Plenty of food with a huge range of different tastes. I ate so much that I could have rolled out the door. My favourites were the pineapple and the bananas.
Staff were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. Price wasn’t too bad.
Overall the lunch at Meet was great value for money, the food was an interesting mixture of flavours and textures, there was plenty of it, the staff were friendly and catered to our thirst as we required.
We all agreed tho that there should be something fresh such as a garden salad, instead of 2 small plates of sauces and chips etc one could be a salad to share, for those at the table who feel inclined.
We will definitely be back.
This is such an amazing restaurant with great staff and awesome food. The staff there were friendly without being overbearing. The extensive variety of meats which were complemented by sauces, salads, bbq’d fruits was an experience which makes me come back for more. However, I think I’ll have to do some fasting prior to the meal. The price was pretty expensive but I think that also adds to the uniqueness and makes the occasion special. A definite must for food lovers.
Interesting concept for a dinner, friendly staff and good food. Great care was taken to accommodate a special dietary requirement and was checked on regularly throughout the dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and hope to enjoy an other meal at Meets again soon.
Thank you Abby our main waitress.
We had a 530 pm booking on a Sunday. Very pleased we had an early sitting. 1 hr and 45 min was plenty of time for the meal.
She kept us informed of the process of how the meal works and checking we were being looked after. We only had the water as it was an extremely hot day.
Every person that brought the skewers of meat to us gave a discription of its contents and ensured we had enough. We were offered more of what we enjoyed at completing all the meats and vegetables.
We were not hurried out at the 1 hr 45 min time.
The venue is well situated for a walk Post meal. One needs it after such a filling meal.
Very enjoyable casual birthday celebration eating experince. Arriving at 12pm the venue was not crowded and quiet to enjoy this special occasion. Vey enjyable food... platter more than sufficient for two lunch time shared meal. Thank you to the friendly staff. Best wishes for a prosperous 2018 business year!
One of the servicers were great providing excellent service the others servicers were rude. We were told we had tried everything and asked if we would like more of anything tired. I asked for the lamb which took about 30minutes. While we waited we were then offer 2 meats not previously offered which meant we had been missed and obviously didn’t received everything. During the meal extra drinks were required but we were not ask or had any service. Except for the friendly, professional and polite service provided by the male servicer (who was excellent) the service was poor.
Absolutely loved it. Great time. We would have liked to have seen all off the meats come out on swords and offered the type of cooked meat you would like., example medium rare to well done for each patron. Would we go back, already have and will again. A dessert included would be a great option even if it meant a few extra dollars to the costs.
Service : First in queue. Had to wait outside to be seated in the sun for far too long despite only one table occupied. Once seated we were immediately informed by a different waitstaff that the cheff had "forgotten to do his job" and some items on menu might not be available for lunch.
Beverage service was slow, male bar manager too attentive to females hanging around at bar instead of serving customers. I had to walk to bar to ask for our table drinks order , another customer was overheard complaining and being abrupt to bar staff due to same issues.
Big difference between waitstaff. One lady gave adequate servings & invited feedback when cutting meat & was very informative whilst a male waitstaff had to be asked twice what he was carving, seemed agitated & hardly carved enough meat to savour what we were eating.
Food: All meat served was excellently cooked, succulent & all had distinctive differences. Unfortunatley serving size differed greatly between waitstaff. The pursuit of a business margin was a bit intrusive with constant mentions that refills of cheap carbohydrates notably table rice & chips were available which as Type 2 Diabetic I can't consume. On this my colleagues said that the chips & rice were ok and I did like the spicy slaw.
Ambiance: Seating was hard & I was thankful of cushons provided. On a hot day resturant was VERY HOT don't know if air conditioning was on or off which amplified the issues of poor beverage service.
Overall: I think the meat was good quality. I have encountered many times meat sliced at the table.
However the restaurant business model with the theatre of presenting & slicing at the table can only work with the staff being acutely aware of portion size & returning to the kitchen with more meat left on skewers than carved on all customers plates is a bad look which was noted by our table and two others that we heard. Overall Honeysuckle is awash with wonderful resturants, MEET has to refine & lift its game.
My partner can’t have any dairy as she is breastfeeding
The staff went out of their way to find out what meals/sauces had dairy in it and wrote them all down on paper and handed it to my partner which made that so easy instead of remembering what was what
They were all very friendly and did all they could to make the night great
Food was really good and worth the money. The restaurant was super loud and busy. Booking online was easy however the correspondence was extremely excessive. A few emails, confirmation text message the day before and a phone call on the day of. One of the 3 would have been sufficient. Staff were great. Drinks were expensive.
