McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Rosemont
King crab legs appeared to be pre-sliced in half and we're cold. Pre-prepared and partially reheated? Then they didn't bring a fork. Too few servers for the number of tables and the high prices. Not recommended.
Outstanding food served by an amiable young man who offered useful advice. The chowder was particularly tasty, the oysters exceptional and the swordfish was excellent. Good dessert as well. We will return
I came here for my boyfriends birthday dinner. We started off at the bar for happy hour and then moved into the dining for dinner. We did the 3-course for 2 and it was outstanding. Dessert was then served with my boyfriend asking to be his wife. The whole waitstaff and manage knew the whole time and made the evening one to remember. Thank you M&S Rosemont.
Service was horribly slow. They were not busy at all and sat all 3 tables that were being used back-to-back so we could hardly move our chairs. I had to ask for the check as we were running over in time (due to the service being so slow) and I finally had to go to the front to pay because they never came. Would not return knowing how bad the service is.
Great food great service. Already planned nexts years visit to get the chocolate box
The three course special was fabulous. Service was wonderful too!
The food presentation was awful and in addition it appears that they didn’t have enough seaweed salad to serve with my tuna so instead of prepping correctly they hurried the wasabi under the seaweed salad. I took one bite and was gasping for air. The wedge salad had brown lettuce.
We stopped for dinner after a visit to Chicago and we had a wonderful dinner!!
Was sat immediately for our reservation time. Service was very good. Server was attentive but gave privacy and did not rush us. Atmosphere was busy but noise level wasn't over bearing. Food was great, portion sizes not over whelming like some Chicago chop houses tend to do.
The birthday dessert never came. The food was cold. The crab legs were dried out. The server only refilled water once over two hours. No coffee was offered.
I first ate at this restaurant in San Diego CA way back in the 90’s. It’s always had great food and I have brought many friends and family to other locations as well. My friends treated me to dinner for my birthday. Our waiter was terrific
We enjoyed our food thoroughly.
Menu changed unfortunately. Soup good. Salmon fair. Disappointing. We won’t be back. Sad.
Big bill for a very mediocre dinner.
Billy was our server & is exceptional. Great service!! We enjoyed our dinner out immensely. The sea bass was great!
Great food and service. The chef was able to prepare our meal according to our allergy issues.
Everyone with whom we had a touchpoint - the valet (so attentive and chivalrous!), the hostess, the bartender (who makes one delicious reposado old fashioned!), and the waiter (Armando, who was so delightful!) - made our outing just incredible, in addition to the delicious food.
Was not impressed with the food at all. My husband had the crab legs and they were awful.... they were rubbery and overcooked. Would not recommend this place to anybody.
Dined 6 people. All ordered the same the Lobster Roll with Clam Chowder.
There were very little lobster in the roll and the chowder was very small portion with high salt content
Great service, food not really. Much better restaurants in the area
Not the McCormick & Schmick’s this restaurant used to be. No wonder I was able to get a reservation within 45 minutes of checking.
Service was not good. Food not what it used to be. Wine glasses were not sufficient pours - waiter didn’t know who ordered what on the first round. Could hardly get a 2nd glass of wine.
For the price not as good a quality of food as expected. Service was great.
Beside hostess seating me right in the way of all the dirty dishes behind me. She sat a family with three small children by us and they did not sit down and screamed. My jumbo shrimp appetizer was NOT jumbo shrimp but 30-35 size. This is a fish restaurant what the heck. The octopus app was hard and rubber. Nothing will bring us back.
Ordered the rib eye steak " black and blue" and made sure our server understood and that it could be done that way. She responded no problem. When it came, it was medium rare. I sent it back along with my husband's Cobia as we came out to dine "together" to celebrate my birthday. The second go ground, my steak was perfect but my husband's Cobia was overcooked and dried out. We left and went to McDonald's on the way back to the hotel.
Though our server was nice, she messed up our order and the food was terribly delayed. My dinner (medallions) was okay but not worth the amount paid. My wife's king crab was terrible and we had to send it back as it was inedible (overcooked, rubbery, salty and cold). Our crab cake appetizer was bland as well. So disappointed! We were looking for a nice date night dinner and it turned out to be an all around bad experience.
As expected a very good meal with good service. McCormick and Schmick’s very seldom disappoints. Highly recommended place for a great dinner and drink.
Meh. Food Ok not great.
Service decent but slow. I don’t think the kitchen had their act together. Pacing not good and restaurant not busy.
Don’t think I’ll be back.
Our waiter dropped an entire tray of dishes on my head. They proceeded to scream at me to ask if I was ok-more worried about themselves then me. I asked them to stop yelling and never saw them again. 3 days of headaches with massive lump on my head later-.... last time I will ever go there.
Went for birthday, decided to sit in bar and enjoy happy hour drinks and appetizers. Loved it!!!!
VERY DISAPPOINTED. WILL NOT GO BACK EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE BEEN THERE SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST. HOSTESS WAS MORE HITLER-LIKE THAN ACCOMODATING. HAD RESERVATIONS AND EVEN THOUGH THE RESTAURANT WAS HALF EMPTY, WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE WAITING FOR TABLES TO BE VACATED IN ORDER TO SEAT US. APPARENTLY THEY DO NOT WANT TO SIT TWO PEOPLE AT A TABLE FOR 4. THERE WERE PLENTY OF LARGER TABLES, BUT NO TABLES FOR TWO LEFT. WAS TOLD THE WAIT WOULD PROBABLY BE 20 MINUTES OR SO. WE WERE GOING TO SEE A CONCERT AT THE ROSEMONT THEATRE, SO FELT WE DID NOT WANT TO WAIT. ENDED UP WITH A TABLE IN THE BAR. WHEN WE LEFT, THOSE 4 SEATERS WERE STILL EMPTY. INTERESTING. ALSO, FOR WHAT WE GOT ON OUR PLATES, IT WAS PRICE GOUGING. I WOULD NOT HAVE MINDED SO MUCH IF THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT, BUT IT WAS JUST OK. LIKE I SAID, WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!!!!! ESTILR ,WLYRSATIONS LNeve. HOsst
Food is always exceptional. Nice drink menu, even great mocktails! Service is professional and friendly. Comfortable and quiet enough for conversation. Easy walking distance to Rosemont Theatre. Valet parking.
Our food order was all
Messed up. Our server was very slow and they were not busy!
Very nice dinner, friendly waiter, excellent dishes
The service was horrendous. We never received a refill on anything unless we asked several times. The crab legs meal was 3 halved crab legs. We will not be returning.
We had a filet each and I had the lobster tail. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The entire dining experience was outstanding. I would have given this restaurant six styif possible.
The food was excellent and the service was better.
The dinner was very good and our server went above board in discussing choices.
Overall, just fair. Most likely will not go back.
