Love the seclusion of seats. Food was amazing and service was impeccable! Will def be back!
For my first time, it was nice. I only have one complaint… it was cold. I had to have my jacket on and I ordered tea to keep me warm.
I took my wife out to eat for her birthday! The restaurant was so cold im that I couldn’t get comfortable. My lobster tail wasn’t done, food was cold. I would never visit this restaurant again in my life.
We arrived for a nice lunch before seeing a show with my daughter. A belated Christmas present. We were seated to a freezing cold dining room. Our food arrived the same … cold. We couldn’t even take our coats off. I kept asking the waitress why is it so cold? Her answer….. we are cold too. I then order a HOT tea to only be told that it probably will not be cold because they just served another table and because it is so cold in the restaurant it’s making everything cold. It’s only at that point that we were told the heat was NOT working but they are working on it !! I can’t believe that when we walked into the restaurant that the hostess didn’t tell us this so we had a choice whether to eat in the cold. Shame on them for not being upfront and because of that I will never go back !
The food was really good and we had the best server ever! Eli was very attentive and personable. We would come back again and request to be seated in his section! Overall everyone we encountered was nice and helpful and I would go back again in a heartbeat!
Very disappointing experience for lunch today. There was nobody at the host stand when we arrived, and after waiting for a few minutes, the woman who had been standing in the kitchen chatting finally came over to seat us. We were seated in the bar area under a vent blowing cold air (it’s January). Nobody came to take our drink/food orders for at least 20 minutes. My drink was so sweet it was almost undrinkable, my husband’s was extremely watered down. We ordered the restaurant week 3 course menu. I was brought the wrong appetizer initially. My husband asked for his salad with no olives, it was full of olives. The rest of the food was ok, but for lunch at a “fine dining establishment” it was disappointing. The bartender who served us was very nice, however that only goes so far. The bathrooms were also disgusting - reminded me of a public restroom in a train station.
Also - the manager was holding job interviews to work in the restaurant a few tables over from where we were eating which was distracting and awkward.
Did not hit the mark today.
First time dining in the Phila location and was not disappointed. From our friendly hostess to wait staff, everyone was extremely welcoming and efficient. Although a bit pricey, the experience was worth the money. Certainly will return.
The hostess was friendly!! The waiter threw my food in the trash instead of putting the rest in a to go container. He said the dessert was on the house but it was already included in the meal . (Resteraunt week).
Food was horrible , drinks was horrible I would love a refund
Was just a little irked that I put request in comments when I booked online that it was my Husband's 55th birthday and wanted an upstairs booth and nothing was mentioned
Our server was Martin and he was really great! However, before being seated the host made us feel like old friends or like regulars. The dining experience was great from beginning to end. We tipped a little higher because of Martin’s excellent service. I thought because it was Restaurant Week, the food would not be up to par. Everything was delicious and nice and hot. Well done Center City, Philadelphia McCormick & Schmick!!
It was freezing in that place, I couldn’t enjoy my food.
All was quite classy--except the music. 1) It was too loud for a class restaurant. 2) The beat of the music didn't fit the intended refinement of our stay at the restaurant. It was too jumpy. A more genteel selection of background music would have coincided better with the ambience. I'm not referring to classical music, but selections of soft, Spanish guitar or quiet renditions of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, etc. would have been appreciated.
We had horrible food and terrible service. The fire alarm went off for about 30 minutes while we all sat there and the flashing sirens continued for an additional 15 minutes. The salmon was inedible.
We went for Happy Hour. Great HH menu, drinks and food. Service and atmosphere also very good.
My only complaint was that it was so cold in the restaurant. I wasn’t too far from the kitchen so I thought I’d get a little heat coming from there but even that wasn’t enough, I had to keep my coat on the entire time. Other than that the food and service was great.
Food was delicious. Service was great. Would recommend
Everything was excellent except for the lack of heat on a very cold evening! We would definitely go there again because the service and food were excellent!
I've had better quality and tasting food from a bar and for less the price. Very displeased.
Severe was bad Managment was nasty
The food was disgusting. This was my first and last visit.
Excellent. Our waitress had a few tables and did a nice job accommodating everyone without a wait.
Beer was warm
Fries were barely warm and sitting to long under heat lamp
Steak was over cooked, sent back and the second steak was over cooked and the server agreed. Manager would not come out to address issue and the server kept apologizing. Not her fault but bad way to handle a problem.
We waited 10 minutes at the door before a hostess came over. My vodka martini was more vermouth than vodka. Food was nothing to talk about. Will not go back.
Our server Eric was fantastic. The Shrimp Kisses were overdone. The shrimp didn't come out of the tail shell easily. Lobster bisque was very good. We both had filet with lobster mash. One medium the other medium well and both were cooked to perfection.
The restaurant was too cold and deserted
Good food and great service.
Excellent service from Sarah. Sarah wore her mask properly. Mummer's Parade postponed one day until tomorrow due to rain; expected crowd was missing. SO GLAD. Setup for parade was also postponed and was in progress during my visit. Would have been nice if the staff performing the setup kept their masks up properly at all times. The chicken was TOO grilled (dry). Mashed potatoes were fine. Sautéed spinach and steak were very tasty. Enjoyed the asparagus. Sad to miss cinnamon ice cream, but supply chain issues happen. The pandemic has a price. Will return for that cinnamon ice cream another day. Pineapple Brown Butter Cake was divine! The Chocolate Silk Pie was as smooth and creamy on the tongue, as the finest material against the skin.
Everything was great
The food was not that great for the price. It was not like I remembered from past experiences.
My wife and I had a great time here on New Year’s eve.
Service was attentive, food was prepared perfectly and delicious. Definitely will visit again.
Food was horrible it was our anniversary and they forgot after they the ones who emailed us to come we came from outta town had to sit at a small table when I requested a booth it was not what I expected
COVID protocols met. Great social distancing..
We went for my birthday and had a really amazing experience. The staff was super sweet and our server was super attentive. The food was absolutely amazing and everything went very well!
Our waitress was fantastic. She is a keeper and would be a great person to train others. I cannot say enough good things about her. My husband enjoyed his meal but my crab and shrimp filling in the salmon I was not impressed. The salmon was a little over done and the filling tasted like a tin can. Loved the mash potatoes and string beans very well cooked.
A wonderful experience. We were nicely greeted and confirmed our reservation and were seated promptly. Our waitress/server (Zenia) was promptly at the table offering menus and drinks specials and started our evening with a great smile and wonderful tone. We ordered one of the special drinks and a Malbec. Drinks came in a timely manner and we ordered appetizers my wife had the Cesar salad and I had the lobster bisque. Again food was timed well and when the appetizers arrived we ordered our entrees salmon special and flounder . Zenia was a perfect server she insured everything was to our liking and was interactive and caring. We ordered crepe brûlée for desert. Service was outstanding the dinging room was well managed and the food was well prepared and delicious. We will return soon.
OMG. The Hostess at the door was absolutely “OUTSTANDING”. She was extremely attentive. The Waitress was always communicating with us, inquiring if we needed anything. Without a doubt we loved our meal & the professional service. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Ambiance was nice, food was ok. They didn’t have chocolate bag dessert, was told they were out and had a early dinner.
