maze Grill Royal Hospital Road is located in Chelsea, in the heart of south-west London, and just a few doors down from Gordon Ramsay's 3 Michelin starred venue. It was once the site of Foxtrot Oscar, the pub that Gordon and his team used to visit after service at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. After extensive refurbishment, the venue opened as Gordon Ramsay maze Grill, delivering signature rare breed steaks, fish and poultry alongside a selection of sushi and sashimi from the dedicated raw counter. The restaurant operates over two levels, and guests can book a more private dining space in The Vaults downstairs.

Unfortunately I wouldnt recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant was busy and seemed under resourced - we had to wait 15 minutes to order, and another table had to go to the bar to get their own menus.

There was an error with each of my courses; I received the wrong starter, my main of steak came nearly 10 minutes before the chips I'd ordered, and my dessert hadn't arrived after 20 minutes, so I needed to cancel.

A discount was applied to the bill, but the waiter who presented the bill didn't highlight this, nor did they ask the basics such as how I would like the steak cooked. Disappointing all round.

I had the three courses for £21 set menu. It was really good. I had the smashed avocado crisp. Main course was a buffalo chicken burger and it was nice an spicy. For dessert I had the Eton Mess. A nice bottle of white wine. The welcome and service was excellent coupled with a great atmosphere. The perfect treat for a meal before seeing Sir Tom Jones in Concert.

It is a neighbourhood restaurant & we WANT IT TO REMAIN OPEN, but they need to seriously take a look at their service!! Took an hour to receive our drinks or our order to be taken, even though we said we were attending a concert & wanted to be a bit quick. The drinks finally arrived & were all wrong. First table they sat us at the seat was all broken, & we asked to move. It can be a great restaurant & but the manager needs to do something.

Sushi tasted like it was made the day before. Children’s meatballs on spaghetti was dry and clearly had been made long before. We go to the restaurant regularly and are generally very happy but this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a while. New chef?

Not a great experience sadly. Service was poor, Food was cold, they spilt meat juice on my sisters clothes and though they were apologetic and gave her free drinks the whole experience was poor. Won’t go back; won’t recommend.

There is something slightly scruffy about this place and the waiters looked the same. While they were friendly there were a couple of times when it was impossible to get their attention.

We were three, with only one of us drinking (by the glass) and we had no desserts. Consequently a bill for nearly £300 seemed excessive, even though we did have the chateaubriand for 2 at £68.

The food was delicious (although the cauliflower salad, which our waiter had touted enthusiastically, was rather bland).

It was an enjoyable evening, and definitely better than my last visit a year ago, but pricey for what we experienced and rough about the edges.

Sub-standard on multiple fronts. Should not carry the Ramsay name because it cheapens the brand severely.

As always, excellent service. Almost a neighborhood eatery with a loyal local following but a destination place too. Great staff and the recently altered wine list is a bonus. The food is superb - great Sunday roast at a fair price. My 6 year old son loves the kids' menu - probably about the best in existence. Salmon, fresh peas and mashed potato. Highly recommended.

Wow, I am aMAZEd that this restaurant didn’t make it to Gordon Ramsey’s kitchen nightmares, perhaps the owner hasn’t tasted his own food. Having experienced it - who can blame him.

I love steaks and have been to most steakhouses in London and generally prefer my meat rare/medium rare, however, I was eating with my girlfriend so we decided to order the steak medium-rare. When ordering a medium tomahawk steak, one would have expected the food to be even slightly above room temperature. Sadly we couldn’t even achieve something slightly resembling warm on the second try and had to settle for cold chewy meat. To recite one of my favourite Ramsey quotes, the beef was so undercooked a trained vet could have saved it, or at least the hospital down the road could have and in addition they could have served us better food too.

Such a pity to waste what could have been an excellent cut and meal. Not surprising this place was empty.

To top it of they tried to bill us for a larger weight than what they told us it was prior to ordering.

If you like steak and want something 5 times better at a similar price point I would recommend; Blacklock, macellaio, goodmen. Even flatiron is leagues ahead of this place at half the price.

The food was very good but we were disappointed by the desert. They were too sweet and very common compared to the main.
The service was very nice and caring but very slow, we had to wait 45 min for our mains to arrive.

The food was very good.

The service was adequate but did not make it a “special” occasion. Sometimes wines were late and the white wine was not cooled enough.

Service was really poor - dishes came at completely different times, sauces didn't arrive until the steak was getting cold, although the restaurant was almost empty, it was difficult to get a server's attention, it took two or three requests to get water, an extra fork, etc. The steaks were good but nothing special. I'm afraid they are trying to trade on the Gordon Ramsey name without putting the effort in. Overall a real disappointment.

For a very quiet evening a service that was slow and not particularly client focused.
Food was uneven, meat very good though at a previously undisclosed 98£ for one serving excessively priced. Fish over cooked and sides with excessive salt.
To top it the (coravin) wine that we needed to remind server to bring to the table was eventually charged as a big glass when the order (and the serving) was for a regular glass. At over 210£ for 2 with one glass of wine overall a major mismatch and disappointment. And by the way, booked on opentable with the option for the special dinner prix fixe menu. Such a menu was never presented as an option!
