Felt rushed, food wasn’t great and over priced even though we had to offer, which by the way we had to ask for a menu. We had a drink first at the bar and they were happy to chat to each other rather than serve it. The staff asked if we were ok, but frankly didn’t care, just rushing us through each course.

Poor and uninspiring service coupled with average (at best) food.

We’re big Gordon Ramsay fans and we were looking forward to dining at one of his Restaurants while visiting London.

We were disappointed by the lackluster service.

Once the food arrived the disappointment continued.

Save your money and go somewhere else.

Another fantastic dinner at Maze Grill. Staff were helpful and attentive - thank you Giorgio! - and Egle (Assistant Manager, recently transferred from another Ramsey property) recognized that we are fairly frequent customers and made sure to make us feel extremely welcome. Oh, and the food was fabulous - 'best meal ever' was a phrase spoken by one of our group. Thank you! We'll be back. :)

After we sat down we were informed that there's a big group and it will take 1 hour for our food to arrive ! Upon request the waiter spoke to manager and came back to tell us that the order of a group of two (us) can not be prioritised over a group of 25! Why then the appointment was available online? Why weren't we told before we took our seat ? Which restaurant in london,, even when full takes an hour to serve food ? Well - none other than Gordon ramsay's overpriced Mayfair establishment. Shame really!!

OpenTable really needs to sort out this kind of things.

Wasn’t what I expected. I’m from the US and last time I went to the Maze; it was where the Lazy Cat now is. So my expectation was predefined before I arrived so I was surprised to learn of the change. If I had it to do over again knowing what I now know, I would make the reservation at the Lazy Cat. I was in the mood for a higher level of fine dinning which I did not get at the new Maze.

The food was superb, the service was amazing. Really passionate people working there. The only downside was the resteraunt was a bit too hot, that said it was the hottest day of the year so far. Overall a great experience.

Expected a lot more from this restaurant as we’ve been fans of GR and was very disappointed. Ambiance reminded us of a hotel kitchen that they put up tables in. Our server was condescending and when I asked to order a T-Bone she told my party they couldn’t “split one.” I said I didn’t want a split steak I wanted the entire one and then she tried to draw me a picture and explain what a T-Bone steak was. Seriously? I’m from the American Southwest and have ordered more T-Bones in my life than your restaurant has probably ever served.
Value was typically London-expensive as a burger and steak cost us £100 with only one alcoholic beverage- which was exceptional.

I have dined many times at Gordon Ramsay restaurants before in the US, and have had nothing but excellent experiences. However, I am unbelievably disappointed by this last visit. The food was extremely underseasoned (tomato soup, mashed potatoes, steak), drinks were subpar (had to be remade), desert was lukewarm, and the servers seemed lost and more interested in setting up for tomorrow’s breakfast than serving us. I was very excited to be celebrating my birthday here, but we were honestly itching to leave after an unsatisfying meal, from a completely empty restaurant (which I am not surprised about). I am just extremely unhappy and disappointed with how the night turned out, please don’t waste a visit here!!

Been here many times. Going down hill. Perhaps becoming more of a hotel restaurant-it is attached to the Marriott. The Cote de boeuf was not that tasty, not seared well and very chewy. 5 minutes to eat one bite is not okay. The Caesar salad is now served in tiny bowl with full size pieces of lettuce that had to be cut. More ended up on the table than stayed in the bowl. The guacamole was meh. My favorite was the thick cut fries- they were very good. Service was just ok. Drinks were very slow. 15 minutes after order or more. Nice wine list. Nice offerings by the glass. Five years ago I really liked this place. Now, would have rather gone to a chain. Won’t go back.

This meal was a big disappointment. The restaurant is located in a hotel which often makes me weary but I’ve wanted to try a Gordon Ramsey restaurant and it worked out for tonight. The ambiance was very nice But the service was just terrible. I found the food extremely mediocre except for the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. My daughter enjoyed her half lobster and french fries but the rest of the food was somewhat tasteless. Half of it came to the table lukewarm. That is not a standard I expect from a meal that cost nearly 200 pounds for three people. Or from a restaurant that has the Gordon Ramsey name attached

Not a great start. Service very slow and denied having the set menu we booked (subsequently finding it!). But it improved as the meal went on, the timing picked up and the food itself was good. Not the most atmospheric restaurant and a little hard to justify the price (although I guess I should remember it was in W1 ). So overall passable but not special. Better independent restaurants are available in the same area.

Asked whether the set menu offer was available along with happy hour and were told it was. After ordering drinks told we could only have one promotion so couldn't get set menu offer as had already ordered drinks. After speaking to manager they made an exception. Then after ordering one of our meals one of our party received a totally different meal to what she ordered. It turned out had run out of her meal choice but failed to tell us or offer an alternative. The manager was very apologetic but all the fuss and errors made experience uncomfortable. Food overall was ok but would I return, no probably not.

Good value decent food although nothing particularly special, but that was to be expected with the set menu offer so we were happy. The venue and ambience was lovely. The big let down was from a pushy waitress, who seemed to rush us throughout, and was constantly popping up or at the corner of our eye. Other than that, I'd definately return for a mid week bite/dinner.

We have very mixed feelings about Maze Grill. The service was outstanding. The wait staff was super friendly and really accommodated our friend’s daughter’s dairy allergy, proactively going to get oil For her when they served bread, etc. and immediately taking back the two burgers that hadn’t been made up as requested without us even having to point this out. They brought out free onion rings while we waited for our dinners to be remade. I would go back for the waiters alone. However, it was one of the worst burgers I have had. It was actually hard/crunchy on the outside. Also, when my husband asked for a glass of sake, they brought him the £45-ish one, not the £10/glass ones. He wasn’t specific, but they should have verified if anything was unclear as he didn’t even know there was a single serving of sake for £45 on the menu when he ordered. He drank it, not realising the price, so there wasn’t much we could do then. So a very mixed experience.

The waitress recommended for us to order the tomahawk steak and we did. However, the steak was just ordinary. We ordered it cooked medium but the steak was not tender. It was tough to chew on and need more seasoning. It was also expensive. We had some better steaks in the past that were less expensive. Another big let down was the place. The ambiance was good but the a/c was not functioning well. It was very hot in the place and really affected our dining experience. The waitress said it was the same condition for quite sometime already and the hotel hasn’t fixed it yet. The restaurant was located inside Marriott Mayfair.

Food was not prepared well. Salmon was overcooked and steak was not cooked to temperature ordered. The waitress was very impersonal and quite rude, actually. We had dietary restrictions and we felt scolded for not being able to eat certain things. The menu did not have full descriptions of ingredients and when we were told we couldn't have certain items because the ingredients weren't listed we were told that the menu was for "our imagination" (whatever that means).
Thanks, but no thanks. Will not be returning.

We went there for a birthday treat for my son's 18th as he is a huge Ramsay fan. We were looked after from the first moment we arrived, throughout the meal and after. Staff were warm, knowledgable and friendly and took their time to explain everything to us.
The food came out at a leisurely pace and was superb. We started with some popcorn chicken snacks then moved to sharing our starters (Octopus, Steak Tartare and Tuna Sushi).
Main course was the very generous Tomahawk steak shared between two of us and a grilled baby chicken, accompanied by a bottle of Rioja. Despite being full we moved on to dessert and shared a sticky toffee pudding and creme brulee and a special birthday meringue presented to my son.
Throughout all, the staff were attentive and personable. After we had finished my son got to talk to the head chef in the kitchen and cap off a lovely evening. I made a point of thanking the team for making it such a great night and they are a credit to Mr G Ramsay. We'd happily return with a hearty appetite!

Overly attentive waiting staff, asking for orders before I'd say down and we were asked at least 3 times during each course how the food was but didn't acknowledge the response.

Starters and deserts were delicious and I'd recommend them. Mains were disappointing and lacking flavour. I couldn't taste the wasabi in the wasabi leeks.

The set menu was great value for money.
