Bistro
Market Bistro will open from 11am 7 days a week, offering a classic “bistro style” menu featuring house made pasta, and a great selection of dry aged meats and a bunch of export quality local seafood.

Our wine list will be interesting, constantly evolving and feature predominantly Australian and New Zealand producers.

A unique feature of the Bistro is the fact you can walk into & purchase wine from the Wine Store for retail prices then drink it in the Bistro (for a small corkage fee.)

Market Bistro will be a stylish, casual restaurant that is not stuffy or pretentious... It is professional, casual & truly local.

Venue and service both great.
Oysters where served in beaten metal tray and more bacon than oyster. Enjoyed our calamari entree. Prawns in pasta where very fishy and not the nice fresh prawn flavour you would expect. Steak was the biggest let down, I have eaten better $20 steaks, to pay $45 and not eat 3/4 of it done it for me. Ordered medium rare and got rare or under, was super chewy/ very unpleasant texture. Desert was ok! Still left a tip with our waiter, as again, service and venue was great.

It’s like there’s a bit of Melbourne, Sydney, or New York, right In the heart of the Maroochydore CBD.

Excellent service, and the food is exceptional.

You can watch the executive Chef, Harry, running the pass with a very discerning eye, and it showed in the quality of our meals. One of our guests who has extensively travelled the world mentioned “that could have been the best steak I’ve ever had”.

Been before, and will be going again.

Menu choice was very limited for main courses. Both food and drink are overpriced.
Sparkling glasses and crochery gave a glow to the dining experience. Will be good when there are car parks available.

The venue itself is very nice and comfortable, the service was also very good however for the price we expected a little more from the menu. The pasta was undercooked and the steak was overcooked. The staff was very accommodating and understanding, can't fault the service... however, for a menu that was a little light on dishes... would have thought the kitchen would nail them. They didn't.

Venue decor and styling is world class. Staff are well trained and attentive. Not friendly but get the job done. Entrees of Calamari, Onion soup, Pate and Buffalo mozzarella were very nice. The mains unfortunately, can’t say the same. The whole snapper, was dry and covered in sliced radish, for $44 with nothing else. The eggplant parmigiana was over cooked, dry and the sauce was too spicy, the prawn pasta if I had cooked it myself I would have been disappointed in my effort. The side of shoe string fries for $12 we sent back, the oil is most likely old and the chips were terrible. The peas in burnt butter, please take this off the menu. At $12 it tasted like tinned peas and I have since read other reviews this morning that say the same thing. A magnificent venue, however the staff don’t appear to be happy in their job. Compared to the other restaurants owned by this group and considering it is vastly more expensive than Rice Boi in comparison, I can’t recommend and won’t be returning. It was my Birthday and I waited for months for this to be a special occasion.

We really enjoyed our late lunch at Market Bistro. Great idea to be able to buy your own wine from the bottle shop next door - lady in shop was very helpful & knowledgeable. We had yummy entrees (calamari & garlic prawns), for mains my partner had the duck tortilini and I had the Gorgonzola risotto. Both very nice, would have been nice to have something more with the risotto, it was yum, but it was a bit plain....
Perhaps I will choose something different next time. We will be back - we loved the restaurant and the atmosphere!

Love the food, service and interior design of Market Bistro, but it is quite noisy inside, sometimes difficult to hear conversations due to loud other tables and it is quite expensive compared to other quality restaurants.

We thoroughly enjoyed for lunch experience on Friday even though it was very busy, the service both getting drinks our orders and our meals was extremely efficient. The food itself was excellent.

Except for one entree the food was very good. The waiter asked why we hadn't eaten much of one of the entrees and we told him the pasta was too el dente for us. When he returned with the next course he appologised and told us there would be no charge for the entree. With the money we saved we ordered another entree, the gnocchi which we really enjoyed.
We told the waiter that the gesture of not charging changed our attitude to the restaurant. Satisfied diners was more important to them than a quick buck.
The waiter was exceptional. Despite how busy they were he gave us his full attention, made helpful suggestions and was light and friendly. I didn't catch his name but he had an accent. We will return to try some of their other offerings.

Yummy food, good ambience, the tables were a little close together and the wait staff didn't really suit the vibe. Sunshine Coast high end dining but the wait staff were a bit rushed and a little clumsy. We also waited for a long time between entrees and main despite ordering them together as was recommended. Overall nice experience. Hot chips were amazing!

Great service and high quality meals. Overall I would say one of the best restaurants on the Sunshine Coast. Extra touches were appreciated. It was my husbands 60th birthday and a lovey glass of champagne on arrival.

Beautiful venue, it created a lovely background to pleasurable dinning experience.
The staff were on point and provided great advice with our food selection. The food was stunning, a real refreshing joy to such quality food on Sunshine Coast.

The food and service was great although we had the tuna tartare with what looked like kettle chips. We both agreed that it wasn’t a good match. My only negative other negative is the parking in which you have to risk life and limb to walk from wherever you are lucky enough to find one as there are no footpaths or nearby legal parking.

This is my 3rd visit and today i went with the lunch deal which was very good value. The flat bread and dip we had as started was yummo! Loved the quail, but the tuna bruschetta wasn't amazing. But overall I am looking forward to coming again. Just LOVE THIS PLACE :)

Quail starter was poor as quail was very dry. They did not charge for this dish on the bill however after we commented.
The two steaks were ok but the salad was not great.
Overall the food was passable but not worth the premium.
