Terrific fennel and citrus salad and maybe the best plate of seared sea scallops I’ve eaten anywhere. Felt very comfortable dining alone. Attentive but never intrusive service. Great experience.
After a long day of business meetings, our group of 4 was hoping for a good but fairly quick dinner. The menu is somewhat limited, so we had trouble finding options for a couple of individuals who needed gluten and dairy-free food. However, the real issue was the wait. We had to ask for a waiter after sitting patiently with no service. Then, the wait to receive the food seemed interminable. And again, we had to ask for someone to bring the bill. The dinner took about 2.5 hours (and that was with no dessert or after dinner drinks). That might be good for people "at leisure" but, for our group, it was a bit frustrating. I will say that when we did get the attention of the waitstaff, they were extremely nice and friendly. They just seemed understaffed.
We shared appetizers and dessert and had very different entrees. The squash was way beyond our expectations in its delicacy and flavor. Our service too, with Emma, was exceptional. Yes, definitely, we will return.
We were stuck in traffic and arrived late, but the staff was considerate and kind.
Everything was fantastic as usual. The food is exceptional, the ambiance is lovely and the noise level is perfectly quiet and allows for lunch conversation.
We enjoyed Marisol's creative cocktails. Server let us taste wines by the glass to ensure we were happy with our choice. All of the dishes we ordered exceeded expectations--the hummus is not to be missed. We also especially liked the duck pasta, burrata , and pasta with lobster dish. Marisol is located very near the Broadway Playhouse and is a great choice prior to going to the theater.
Great space. Very artsy and a great experience. Fun servers who were knowledgeable and helpful. Food was amazing. I would definitely go back!!
Terrible, awkward service from everyone we encountered. The brunch lasted over 2.5 hours, and we had four different people helping us throughout the experience which was confusing and slow. I really love Marisol and recommend it to a lot of people, but the service was just Super, super strange this time, I really don’t know if I’ll ever return.
Food was delicious. Wonderful combination of spices in Shakshuka. Ham and cheese sandwich was one of the best we ever tasted.
This is our second time at Marisol and the quality was consistent: memorable entrees, great wait staff. Our waitress recommend a sparkling wine to go with my oysters, Baga/Tourriga Nacional. It was a delight, a culinary adventure. The cured salmon club was beyond belief. I can't recommend it more highly.

I love everything about Marisol. The setting, the kind servers, the unique and delicious food.
This is probably just the pre-fixed meal for valentines but for 75 a person i wasnt satisfied with the meal.
Food was great. Service lack in being ready for first seating and not being attentive for reservations. FOH seem like they knew little of what they were bringing out each coarse.

Get the burrata. Skip the farro. Shakshuka.. meh.. it's unique. Just get more burrata.
Fantastic food. The service was outstanding and the decor was excellent. Definitely I’ll be back.
Ambience: comfortable and quiet
Service: friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive
Food: very good; chicken about as tender and tasty as possible
Drinks: only quibble of experience was when ordering a glass of red wine it should be minimum of 150ml and really better to be 185ml- serving 125ml in white wine glass not cool!
Good Happy Hout. Loved the chicken liver pate. Also had the yummy steak tartare ( not part of HH.

Made a reservation on a Saturday during Chicago Restaurants week. Excited to taste the special lunch menu, we arrived and were informed that the Chicago Restaurants week - lunch menu was not available on that day. While upset by that information, my group decided to stay and try some of their offerings. We were very satisfied with service, the food, and coffee!
What a fantastic meal! The Restaurant Week menu with wine pairings was incredible. This has become a treasured neighborhood restaurant.
The parsnip soup and risotto were excellent. The dessert choices on the prix fixe menu were uninteresting to me. I also feel the $48 price tag was high for the food options. I've gone to restaurant week before, this is the first time I felt it was not worth the money. Also, being in the MCA I thought there would at least be art in the hallways.
The hostess should say good afternoon and thank you when we leave......nothing is not right

Started with a fun cocktail at the bar. The artichoke sunflower hummus with house made flax crackers were addictive.
Then on to the delicious salad.
And for our main, branzino, which we paired with the Sicilian orange wine. Perfect.
It was a leisurely meal, our server was knowledgeable and attentive.
An enjoyable evening!
