Marcello's Coal Fired Pizza & Restaurant
Marcello’s Restaurant has been a local favorite for scrumptious coal-fired pizza and authentic Italian delicacies, all in a warm and welcoming ambience. With a menu filled with unique and tantalizing options, some appetizer favorites include the flash fried calamari in a honey soy sauce and the arancini mozzarella-stuffed rice ball. Marcello’s Restaurant specialty pizzas, such as the sottosopra, with tons of cheese and fresh San Marzano tomatoes, and the big fat pizza, with house-pulled milk mozzarella and an extra-thick crust, have customers dining in droves. Marcello’s also has an excellent selection of pastas, seafood dishes and steaks, all prepared the authentic Italian way with imported ingredients.
When you go to Marcello’s Restaurant, be sure to bring the whole family as it offers a full kids’ menu, as well as the occasional specialty events.
We dined during Covid. The staff was suitably masked and very accommodating. The tables were separated and the food was wonderful. Will definitely go again.
I have been to other restaurants during Covid and the experience was spotty. This was not only normal but an excellent dining experience
This is such a great place to be able to go during the current restrictions. They restaurant has a roof that opens in addition to the front wall. The drinks were amazing and unique.
The food was incredible. I honestly did go thinking it wouldn't be that good. Which is why I am writing this 5 star review. They deserve it! Excellent all around! A must visit!!!
Personal pie was good but a little pricey for the size.
Prices were excessive compared to what was received. Appetizer and shared shared portion of a pitcher of sangria amounted to $45.
Great spot for a date night. Their vodka rigatoni and honey sriracha wings were delicious.
Grab Kelvin as your server if you can. He’s the man
Great food. Great Service. Thank you Tianna! Great time.
Food was amazing and even better service. Noah at the bar made our night so fun!
Great service and good food. Social Distancing done right.
eating on the street is a new experience..waiter insisted our table was reserved but there were 15 open tables and we had reservations and were seated there, then insisted they didn't open till noon even tho 3 other tables were eating...I could touch the cars passing by separated only by those barrier blocks...my food was half done before my guests lunch even came out...waiter never offered refills on drinks, never asked if food was ok, said we couldn't go inside with no mask, but let the next 4 people in without masks...
Perfect Sunday dinner outdoors. The food was delicious! Can’t wait to go back
We were seated at a table that was not very sturdy and on a slant on the sidewalk damn near on the curb. It was bad. We had a drink and left to go somewhere a little more comfortable. Also over $60 is ridiculous
Portions were small, very overpriced. Our waiter was more concerned with collecting tables than bringing us anything we ordered. The online menu indicated entrees came with a salad, but after we ordered we were told that was no longer true. And there was a gentleman sitting on the street right next to our table having a phone conversation throughout our entire meal. Other than that, it was perfect!
Great service, always consistantly good food too make for a nice night out!
Great food and so happy to be able to dine outside!
Great place to just hang out with friends. The food was very good. The atmosphere was relaxing and nice
Birthday. Great food, great service.
My dining experience was nothing great. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant. I felt the help was inexperienced and lacked proper restaurant etiquette. The pizza, which they talk about so highly, was nothing special and lacked flavor. Also the description of my food was not accurate upon receiving my meal. There are many delicious restaurants in my area that I will give my business to in the future.
Great food and service. Bartenders make awesome drinks!
Great food and service. A little pricy, but worth it.
Service was just a bit slow
Tianna was awesome! So personable & friendly!
We made a reservation for a Saturday evening but there would not have been a wait. We had excellent drinks to start with, then ordered salads and pizza. My Caesar was better than average. The pizza is the headliner: fresh ingredients, perfect thin crust charred slightly in the coal-fired oven. Service was very good. We spent some time discussing when we could get back.
Our server Devin was outstanding. He was friendly, professional, attentive. Our food was delicious. Great ambiance. We enjoyed a wonderful dining experience!
Went this past Wednesday and had a few bleeps. We ordered a pizza and when I came out the weight or knocked a drink onto it. Not a big deal they bought us another one but still. Had gnocchi and mushroom which was delicious, someone else in our party had a halibut with a mango avocado and they said it was good. shrimp oregano came out it was a little salty. Ordered the grilled calamari with potatoes and Spanish Portuguese sausage. Sausage was way, way too salty or else it tasted good.
Death by chocolate cake was very good, as well as the espresso.
Only thing is we really couldn’t enjoy your dinner because towards the end of the evening some kind of alarm went off and they couldn’t shut it off for quite some time, which made for about 10 minutes of an uncomfortable dining experience.
We’ve gone here on at least five occasions and it’s always good. I think this is just maybe an off night.
dinner is always fantastic!!! The waitress I had was wonderful. Pleasant, helpful and very attentive.
Portions small and although the waiter was very nice, the service was poor. Disappointed.
Food cold restaurant too cold and noisy. Food was underwhelming and limited menu but did not advertise that. Would not recommend
Like the food, but thought there would be a regular menu since the holiday was yesterday. Noise level was very high. Would go again.
Our reservations were for February 15th. The day after Valentine's Day. The restaurant was still decorated for the holiday me, my sister, and my daughter all thought it was really cute. When we went to look at the menu though, it was still special for Valentine's Day, which was very limited, more expensive, and not what we came for. We checked the website and Open Table just to make sure that it wasn't something we missed and it wasn't. I did not want to spend $22 on a pasta dish for my 12 year old. Our server Mike was awesome though. He was having a really tough night because a lot of customers didn't know about the special, more expensive, menu. Mike made it work though. We all got what we wanted, paid the prices we expected to pay, and left happy. Just FYI, if Mike couldn't make it work, Marcello's would have lost at least 8 customers. We can get Artisan pizza at Nomad's and great drinks and Italian food at a dozen other places. He's the reason we're coming back.
Surprised when we got there that only a limited menu was available the day after Valentines Day with sky high prices. Disappointing evening.
I use to love the food. The quality has gone down. Pretty disappointing
Take this review with a grain of salt because I went for my first time on Valentine’s Day. I imagine the volume was different from regular days. First off I made a reservation late on purpose explicitly to get a regular table for 2 and avoid table top or bar seating. When we arrived at our appointed time I was told that they only had “community” table seating (shared with others) or we could have a table top to ourselves. That put me off immediately. Arriving to the table top I noticed the stools were stained & dirty (more to come) and our table had complete utensils for one and the other was missing the fork. Service from our waiter was alright. He would disappear from time to time but it was a busy night to be fair. We ordered a chicken and pasta dish for entrees & saw food coming out for diners that arrived well after us so there may have been a mishap with our meal. The food itself is good but it was minimal in volume for the price. The cocktails were great and the bar was definitely the life of the restaurant. Finally before we left I saw a waiter bussing dishes at another table and saw why the stool tops are filthy. He placed a wash tub he was loading dishes into on the seating which explained the stains. When he finished he ended up forgetting the cleaner on the stool up to the point we left. The lack of attention to detail all night left a disappointed impression in my mind especially on a special night like Valentine’s.
I would not recommend on a holiday. The service was not good.
Valentines dinner that was our worst on 24 years. We were seated and ignored for 15 minutes by numerous servers and employees that walked bye our table. Finally asked a waiter if he could identify our server and he looked just as confused as I felt. He finally decided he was our waiter and took our order. After he left a younger waiter who had walked past our table numerous times stopped and advised he should have been our waiter, and walked off. Next, another couple was seated at our table, (table divided by balloons) and they immediately requested their own table. They were advised that there were 400 seatings and they had to sit with us. They sat for 5 minutes and got up and left, saying that they didn’t want to spend $100 on romantic edinner to sit with people they did not know. Another couple was seated with us, and there were 5 empty tables on room. Meal was uninspiring and portion was small. I wish I had left when the first couple did, good move. Never go back and would not recommend.
Made a reservation but did not realize it was a set menu for Valentine's Day. David was nice enough to ask the cook if he could just do a pizza for us. David made our experience a great one, even though we don't live close we will be back because of him.
Was great except it’s very loud.
