Marcello's Coal Fired Pizza & Restaurant
Marcello’s Restaurant has been a local favorite for scrumptious coal-fired pizza and authentic Italian delicacies, all in a warm and welcoming ambience. With a menu filled with unique and tantalizing options, some appetizer favorites include the flash fried calamari in a honey soy sauce and the arancini mozzarella-stuffed rice ball. Marcello’s Restaurant specialty pizzas, such as the sottosopra, with tons of cheese and fresh San Marzano tomatoes, and the big fat pizza, with house-pulled milk mozzarella and an extra-thick crust, have customers dining in droves. Marcello’s also has an excellent selection of pastas, seafood dishes and steaks, all prepared the authentic Italian way with imported ingredients.
When you go to Marcello’s Restaurant, be sure to bring the whole family as it offers a full kids’ menu, as well as the occasional specialty events.
Lunch with a friend. Decorated beautifully for the Holidays.
Cold in the Open area.
Food was amazing. Our server was very sweet. My only con would have been a little more attentive service, I think they were busy and possibly under staff. But all and all loved it!
Extremely loud. Served a different meal than ordered. Pasta was WAY undercooked. Just an average experience. Will try again based on reputation.
We enjoyed dinner but very loud and couldn’t have a conversation. Had to go somewhere else for dessert because was too loud.
Pizza was tasty and David our waiter was fabulous.
Outstanding cocktails and food. Love spending time here.
We enjoyed the trip. The food was good, as was Tyler, our server. It was a busy Saturday night so we knew everything would take a little longer but it was worth the wait. We'll definitely be going back.
The food was tasty, but service was terrible. Hostess said something about having to make a reservation "earlier" on OpenTable in order to be seated on time. Those who came in later were seated first. Waiter was TERRIBLE. Super rude and slow. Won't be back.
Was seated immediately and the staff was extremely helpful. The menu provided many options. All dishes were very tasty. The bread and dipping oil was especially yummy.
Relative visiting from Florida
Second time here (Thursday & Saturday reservations) and same issues as before. No table ready and almost annoyed by us using OpenTable because they wouldn’t have allowed the reservation? At least 45 minutes before we even got bread to the table. Appetizer looked skimpy & tasted off. Dinner portion sizes are large. Not sure it’s worth going to again unless for takeout.
Best veal I’ve ever had it melts in your mouth, marinara was perfect. Bread was delicious. Dave our server was great. Front windows were open great experience.
Service was good- food was excellent. The wings are the best.
Quick dinner on a Sunday night was great. Was able to get a reservation at 2 pm for dinner at 6 pm. Parking was easy....walked right in. Service and food was perfect like always.
It was my birthday dinner reservation. We had outdoor seating and it was absolutely beautiful. The pizza is delicious as well as the Guactail, and the shrimp Fantasia. Exquisite. Will definitely return.
We could not sit at the first or second table reserved for our group of 6 outdoors because of swarming flies. We were allowed to select an outdoor table on the other side of where the flies were swarming. Although better, we were all swatting away flies during our entire meal. This should be addressed from a health standpoint. It was really disturbing. As far as the food, the pasta was firmer than al dente- it was undercooked. We are not in any hurry to return unfortunately.
Excellent Date Night
From the drinks to the food and all in between, everything was on point!
Happy Hour has great salad selections, apps and pizza. Generous portion for 8.00!
Marcello's has a nice menu varietty. We traditionally like to go there on Wednesdays for the pizza and wings. Great pizza deal on Weds...1/2 priced, which can't be beat. Coal fired wings are amazing. Highly recommended.
Excellent service with a menu that satisfies all tastes. Relaxed, fun and a terrific “go to” to have - never disappoints!
I can’t even Describe how wonderful this place is food is outstanding sangria is delicious beautiful atmosphere and our waiter Michael he’s the best I look forward to many more dinners with my soon to be husband and friends!!!!
What a terrific dining experience! We sat on the patio which had great ambiance. Good service and great food. Started with the Piatta Rustica and had a pizza as well - both were delicious! Looking forward to returning to try other dishes that sound amazing as well!
Our table was ready early and we were seated outside on a beautiful late summer evening. Service was attentive, the menu had enough on it to satisfy all of us (and we do have particular requirements). Our waiter took our drink and food order quickly, but not quickly enough that we felt rushed in any way. The food was delicious... we had the Flounder Franchese, Chicken Franchese and the Pelto Marinara. Everything was prepared perfectly and plated attractively. We finished around 9:30 and were not rushed to pay the bill. We will be returning.
Just get something with their sauce and you’ll be happy.
The food was amazing. Menu was able to be worked around garlic food allergy and salt intake. Server was patient as our guests spoke Portuguese, knowledgeable and went the extra, bringing spaghetti when noodles were on the original ate and spaghetti had bee asked for but not heard by server
I met up with some old friends at Marcellos in Bordentown last Sunday for lunch. I had a reservation and we were seated right away. It was not very crowded as brunch was ending soon. I had veal parm. So delicious! My iced tea was refilled often. We also had drinks. Our waitress was great. At one point, we asked if we could switch tables to have more room, and the answer was yes. We took a long time to order because we had a lot of catching up to do and the waitress let us be. We never felt rushed. Maybe it would be a different story on a Saturday night. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be back.
Food was great. Our waitress was awesome young lady with a great personality. Pizza came out before entrees but pizza was great
table was a bit small for 4 adults
Overall I would recommend this place
We will be back
The service was very good. We were greeted warmly by the head of house & seated immediately. The flounder was delicious.
This is one of our go-to restaurants, but the latest experience was disappointing. The level of service was poor from the moment we checked in all the way to the time we left as the staff appeared overwhelmed and hurried. The meal itself was nice but expensive for what we had. Thank goodness for the ambience and the company.
Overpriced for what you get. We had reservations and were stuck at a high top instead of a table. If not for the great waiter we had would have been even worse.
Pizza and food is great. Wine selection by glass is not great. Should offer at least one premium wine selection.
Kids may not like the kids menu. My son is picky though.
It was fantastic
A summer Friday night, a comfortable temperature, let's go dining, outdoors. Marcello's has their alley-converted to a bar/casual dining area, so let's go for it.
The place was surprisingly full for a weekend-dinner-during-shore-season, and with good reason. Great sangria's, delicious cavatelli, and a shrimp-over-angel hair dish. Noise level was high, even for a roofless environment, but, heck, its Friday night!
A good night out on all fronts. (I even got parking a block away, ON A FRIDAY NIGHT!)
It was my daughter’s 12 th birthday. This was where she chose to come
Food is always delicious! Our server Tianna was so sweet and attentive.
Great food, great atmosphere. Waiter was very busy and mixed up a few items but fixed them immediately
$30 for a 4 glass pitcher of sangria is just a bit much. Also this was the first time I ever made a reservation for dinner and was told you have to request INDOOR seating.
