Outdoor area was a great location.
Food was sensational.
Greg and his staff were very attentive and professional.
Only downsize was a couple bringing their dog into the eating area for dinner dining.

Had to send steak back as it wasn’t cooked how I ordered so sides were cold by the time I got it back. I appreciate the staff are all training and it was good to be asked for feedback, but felt a bit like we were guinea pigs whilst paying full price

Lovely new restaurant, nicely decorated and food was delicious. As commented by others the staff are young and obviously still getting used to working in their environment and there were a few minor flaws in service (ie not suggesting we may want to order sides with the main meal we ordered, so what turned up was just piece of (very nice) fish in sauce - but we ordered sides straight away and they came out quickly). Great potential when the other areas of the business open. We will be back.

I have been twice now and each time was superb. I have been recommending Manly Boathouse to everyone. The food is incredible and it's great to finally have a beautiful restaurant to compliment this wonderful location at Manly.

Great new restaurant. It was raining so everyone inside which made it a bit noisy but great atmosphere and food. Would definitely go here again.

It was the most amazing experience from the front door I was treated very special. Everything was perfect and I will be definitely be back. One thing that was great that we weren’t forced out. We could just relax and enjoy our lunch. The staff were so lovely. It’s a credit to the owners.

I think the menu is confusing.
We had it explained that the small was for sharing and the share was the mains for one person.
The kids meal was great value, although I wouldn’t imagine any kids eating fish skin, it looked delicious and I would have liked to have seen a main version of that on the menu for us grown ups.
The setting is gorgeous!

Having experienced the initial opening weekend and services challenges, we were delighted to return a week later to find a structured, organized staff, with dedicated roles, greater menu knowledge - organized chaos was gone. Great job!

Food was superb, service excellent, no waiting more than a few minutes for drinks or additional side orders - really on the ball. An honestly, you cant ask for a better location.

It will be our new, regular. Looking forward to the role out of the additional Gelateria and Chippery - take out.

One small complaint.. if you run out of butter get to the IGA!! oh, and whilst you wait for the Gelateria to open, PLEASE get some basic ice-creams in for the little one... Tiramisu is not to their liking xx

Perfect on every level. Food, staff and overall ambience exceptional. Booked again as soon as I got home!

Excellent food, beautifully decorated. Only downside was being rushed. Thought Small’s would come before mains but all came at once meaning food was cold by the time you got to it.

Staff were friendly and helpful offering advice on the menu. Food was amazing and the view is spectacular. Highly recommend

I would recommend sitting inside on a hot day, or outside for the sea air & breeze. Excellent location, relaunch well executed. Service could have been improved, we waited a long time to be looked after. 2/10 Value for money, besides the lovely environment— expect to pay Sydney prices for fine dining quantities. Food was far from abundant for the price.

Such a beautiful restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing. Can honestly say, I’ve never had better. The view is spectacular, looking out over the manly marina, watching the sunset, it was so pretty. Then the lights inside came on and made the restaurant look even more beautiful. Cocktails were yummy, and the service was exceptional. They were attentive and very friendly. We have already re booked.

Great location. Interesting menu. Service a bit scratchy, as still in settling in period. However, cheerful young staff tried hard and did well, with a bit of prompting. Food and wines are a bit on the expensive side, but not unexpectedly so. Disappointed that Qld wines don’t figure. Some Granite Belt wines would be a good addition. Why do local restaurants usually ignore Qld wines? Is it the same with craft beers? Didn’t check that out.
Some seating near the water is lounge style for 2 people on 2 sides of the table (4 people). Didn’t like that. Too hard to manage and hard to get the right posture for comfort and eating. Would prefer normal chairs, as at many nearby tables. Will definitely ask for that in the future.
Overall, a very promising addition to the Manly scene.
We had an early lunch booking and that also helped. Quite crowded later in the session. Happy to recommend and we will go back.

Food was superb. Service mediocre, staff are fairly inexperienced and lack knowledge. Beautiful setting, lovely decor. Awesome to have somewhere so glam so close.

Absolutely astounding... the meals impeccable, the service good and always improving (particularly for a new venue only open a few weeks).

The detail and care taken to create this fantastic dining experience should be rewarded. Thank you and we look forward to many more long lunches here

Amazing food. The Chef’s are doing an incredible job.
Beautiful ambience and great planning to have ambience without excessive noise so you can still hear each other across the table. Staff are still in training mode. They need new aprons as everyone seemed to have their pens and notepads slipping out.
Can’t wait to go back.

This is by far the best restaurant to happen to Manly. The food devine, service excellent but not in your face and the restaurant location and atmosphere just lovely. I have booked our next visit already

What a shame! We have been looking forward in anticipation to a new dining experience right across the road from where we live and have lived for 27yrs. A huge disappointment!! I had visited almost daily to assure the table I had requested was assigned - NOPE we were sat in the middle of the restaurant, even though as I mentioned I had requested an oval table along the front! All staff were totally bamboozled with every request, when they eventually arrived at our table. From a simple request of water to the bottle of wine requested, which we were advised you didn’t have. The food, when it eventually arrived to the table was tasty, however was disappointed having to order sides!! Dessert was lovely, winner winner chicken dinner!!

I mentioned that we were coming back on Friday night 5th March at 6.30pm with a group of 12 people. I was advised that we could have a 90min sitting!!! Are you kidding me. As a local, we have been dining every Friday evening as a group of 12 and will not accept a 90min or any limit on our dining experience. We are in the over 60’s category and are not interested in moving to the bar after eating.

I have this afternoon cancelled our reservation for Friday 5th March 2021 for 12 people.

I wish you the best of luck in this business venture, you’re going to need it.

We went there for a family dinner to farewell my partners sister and her partner before they leave for an extended holiday. Earlier that day we had gone to the boathouse and requested that we sit inside as it was forecast to rain, they had said to us face to face that they had this arranged. We arrived at the restaurant only to be told we are seated outside in a makeshift Marque where the lights were broken. We then expressed our frustration to the waitress who told us she would find us a table only to see her 10 minutes later taking food to peoples tables. We then helped ourselves to a different table. We ordered our drinks which took 20 minutes to get. We were given 2 menus for a group of 7 of us. Upon ordered no one decided to tell us that they had run out of sword fish and the replacement was tuna. We ordered crab linguine, steak, whole chicken, oysters, sword fish, Moreton bay bugs, prawns. Our orders came out, the portion sizes are absolutely ridiculously small, all of our food was not cooked, we weren’t given what we ordered. We asked for the whole chicken to come as we were given a child’s meal. We weren’t given cutlery and had to ask 3 times for it, we get our whole chicken and it was completely raw and had to be sent back, we got a replacement meal from the tuna which was a steak and that was raw. There was no apology from any staff the only discount we got was a $30 one from the difference between the child’s meal and the whole chicken.
Absolutely shocking service which needs to be reviewed ASAP or they will be lacking business very quickly. I will not be going back.

Ordered Entrees to arrive first and asked that the Small Plates we ordered to come out when finished.
All the meals come out together, we asked to take back the Hot Small Plates of food and was assured they would not reheat them as it was seafood.
Sure enough they come back Reheated.
We dined inside as there were showers of rain now and then. All the doors were closed and the fans did nothing to help keep us cool in the heat of the day.
It was unpleasant, air conditioning is needed when the door cannot be open to catch the bay breeze.
The food was amazing and our waitress was pleasant.

Stunning restaurant. Food was amazing and you get what you pay for. Cane chairs, white on white on white with a touch of brass brings such great energy. Watching the chefs at work in the huge state of the art kitchen was fabulous. Did I mention the water views?

The venue has gorgeous aesthetic! Staff are super friendly and accommodating.
Love that they are adding a fish & chippery, gelato, coffee and patisserie windows. Looking forward to going back.

Great food all fresh and tasty, quite busy the we were there but the meals came at a good pace.

Service was pretty shocking. We had multiple different waitress. We had to wave someone down every time we wanted something.
Entrees were great! Mains were horrible. I ordered a well done steak and it was medium rare, and the others ordered medium and basically got rare. Barely touched it & for $38 it was just steak, and a little potato purée. We didn’t receive any discount on this either.
We ordered drinks and they sat on the bar for 5-10 minutes after being made. We had to ask someone to bring them to us, even though many staff walked straight past them.
We didn’t get asked how our meal was when paying for bill and if we didn’t check the bill, we would have been charged for items we did not order.

There are a lot of improvements needed to be done before we go back.

Great place for weekend afternoon drinks, if drinks are bought to you.

Without doubt the best food we’ve had in our three years in Brisbane and up there with some hatted restaurants that we’ve been to in Sydney. The food was delicious and the fitout and view were stunning. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating and we will definitely be back!

We loved the food and drinks at Manly Boathouse.
We had oysters kilpatrick, scallops, Moreton bay bugs and barramundi and just shared everything.
Food was slow to come out and confusion from the waitstaff as to where the food was supposed to go.
The staff were friendly and talkative and the owner took the time out to chat with us at the end of the night.
We will be back to try more of the menu.
