I was delighted with my luncheon at Manly Boathouse. My meal was excellent.
The decor and the view was out standing. It was a privilege to be there.
I have already highly recommended the Manly Boathouse to family and friends.

This restaurant is in a beautiful setting. I had booked a table for 1pm. I was told the table wasn’t ready and was asked to wait, taking a seat near the bar area. We were there for 15 minutes and no one came to us until I went to the bar to ask if he could find out why we were still waiting. Soon after we were shown into the restaurant and there were numerous tables available!! There was an obvious shortage of staff! The table was very scratched and sticky!! The waitress who served us was good and the food was ok although expensive for what we had. The wine is definitely overpriced. If this restaurant wants to succeed they should employ more people and improve the service. Not fine dining as we are led to believe.

We enjoyed a lovely late Mother’s Day lunch on a busy Thursday. Service was prompt and attentive and the delicious food came out in a very timely manner. We shared quite a few of the dishes ams all were bursting with flavour. I did miss the lamb ribs which were on a previous menu. Mum had her first ever cocktail experience too!

I think overall the food was nice but not for the price, it’s really expensive and you walk away hungry.

We came for the little celebration, the boat harbout view, a corner with a little space to chat, and a nice meal. We weren't disappointed.

Restaurant was far too noisy for social dining. It was impossible to hold a conversation with our friends.

Our entrees and main meals arrived at the same time - bar one main meal which we were told when we followed up ‘hadn’t been processed’?? Our Pink Gin didn’t arrive. When we followed up, a regular gin was served. Such a gorgeous restaurant, beautifully decorated, fantastic aspect and so much potential. Disappointed again on this our second visit by below par service. Meals were average - not brilliant food but we can accept that given it’s such a lovely venue. Will try again in a few months. Hopefully staff will be better trained by then.

Fabulous view but so noisy. To have a vitamiser on to drown out the restaurant
was not good. Very noisy and we were talking so loudly over the noise.

Food was not good the crab liguini there was no crab.
To serve barramundi with peas
Sorry food not to my standard.

The young staff were delightful and of course the view stole the show
Well done on the renovations

Not exactly sure how to place the Boathouse, lovely fit out (though dont think there is any air-con), looks modern/ beachy. Prices are high but not fine dining, service and other things like paper napkins also more like a gastro-pub than a restaurant. Booked for a special occasion - mentioned it on reservation and bought their most expensive wine (which they tried to over-charge for) and no mention of it from staff. Staff wearing no uniforms, some in beach shorts and dirty sneakers, not quite pulling off the casual sophistication it is going for. Some of the food was fantastic (steak and fish wings) some was terrible (salmon and gnocchi). I get the feeling they might be a flash in the pan - pity as the venu has such potential.

we had to wait ten minutes to get drinks ordered which i had to wave a waiter for service , the food we were served was delicious but i feel your menu has not got enough seafood plates , i know your not a seafood restaurant but you should be , you are right on a water way and you don't serve a seafood platter that's wrong , and $25 for 6 prawns is a ridiculous price to pay I don't think we will return to the restaurant side but we will try your takeaway food and see how that pans out . Very disappointed with the price and menu , the staff were very friendly but waited to long to ask for drinks

Overall an OK experience but nothing more.
The ambience/location/service levels and decor were good. (loved the lampshades)
Menu choices for a Seafood Restaurant were poor with not one Seafood share platter in amongst 3 other offerings!
Food was OK at best but nothing to rave about for the price.
Staff also need to be fully versed in the menu choices as was some confusion and gave misinformation.
In a nutshell MBH is a work in progress but as it stands now i would not recommend it for the prices charged however this can of course change with some alterations.

A lovely Hamptons style venue and very attentive service. I was expecting more seafood to be on the menu and was disappointed there wasnt a seafood platter. It is more a mixed menu. I had the kia ora salmon dish for mains with sage butter but the butter was so overpowering and the dish too greasy. My husband had the sand crab linguine and it was tasty and a generous serve. Entrees we tried the truffle arancini balls, a little bland. Fish wings were just ok and a nice whipped hummus and flatbread. The one thing that was over powering was the noise. It is such a loud noisy venue. I would not go here if you are wanting a romantic couples dinner. It is more suits to long group lunches. All in all, we will return and try the bar or fish and chippery in summer when there is live music on.

It was a shame that it was raining but that didn’t disappoint - the place was busy, it looks incredible, food good and staff excellent. Only issue was noise level inside.
A sunny clear day would be spectacular.
Will visit again even if just for the outside experience of live music and fish and chips.
