Been here a few times now, and always happy to come back. Great tasty food, 5* service, and cosy atmosphere, great for a date
Highly recommended, excellent service!
A quiet and small restaurant. Great to catch up with friends, as it is not crowded. Food was good and for good prices. A great place for spontaneous lunch or dinner.
Pasta was a little dry but perfectly tasty otherwise. A group of diners for one table arrived spasmodically and were hugging and kissing each other on arrival, with no attempt at social distancing, behaviour which was received by other diners with surprise but evoked no comment or response from the Restaurant.
The owner/manager makes it worth. Such a great guy
Service was a little slow due to over booking on the eat out scheme. But food was worth the wait everything we had was unreal, excellent value for money with or without the discount!
It’s not the first time ha I have been and it’s never disappointing to come here service and food are excellent
Great Italian, been going here for a few years. We go as a couple and on family birthdays e,t,c. Even had new years eve meal 2019 was fab. Great food great staff.
Great food & great value for money serviced by great friendly staff.
We enjoyed a dinner here as part of the eat out to help out scheme. I was so surprised to find both of the dishes we ordered were really delicious, authentic Italian, and the starter was very tasty too. We’ll definitely be back!
Great local restaurant consistently good food. A favourite in the area!
The food was tasty and the menu was reasonable. However the meal took a very long time to arrive - I asked about it twice - and my friend was not given what she had ordered. While they attempted to make up for the poor service by offering free desserts and wine, this was not wholly satisfactory, as we didn't want wine, and only one of us wanted a dessert.
Hi Trish, Thank you very much for your feedback, I do apologise for the slow service you received on your visit. The waiter forgot to put the order through and did try to make up for it by offering dessert, though I do understand how this wasn't entirely satisfying opposed to receiving your order on time. Kind Regards, Mangia bene Owner
Lovely service, very polite and attentive. Food was beautiful and very tasty.
Interesting menu, tasty food, good service, lively ambiance, reasonable prices.
This was a real find. It's cozy, size wise, but the menu is good, the food is good, the service is good, and friendly.
Great food friendly helpful staff would go again
Excellent value for money. The garlic bread was beautifully light. Friendly service. We went on a Wednesday evening and luckily booked a table as it was packed by eight pm, this was our first time here and we'll definitely be coming back! Bella
Fantastic food, warm and welcoming service. A little gem.
Good value: relaxed, no-frills restaurant with very good food and friendly service.
Traditional Italian food, pleasant service, reasonable value.
Lovely meal and good service
Enjoyed the salmon and veg and friend had a lovely pizza
Excellent all round, would recommend the fillet steak and calves liver. We'll be back (as an Austrian once said).
I have been coming here a few years now. Couldn’t recommend the restaurant more. Great food, great feel to the place and the staff are very pleasant & very professional. 10/10 from me.....
Great food, service, and atmosphere as always. Mangia Bene is our prefered local Italian restaurant.
The best fegato I’ve had, melt in the mouth!
Lovely evening with friends and good service and food. Happy customer. 🙂
Great little find of a restaurant. The food and service was excellent and there was no rush to get us out the door. Nice little touch was the complimentary Lemoncello shots at the end. The only downside was they cancelled my OpenTable booking even though my friend, who arrived on time, was seated at the table I booked and I only arrived 5 minutes after the original booking time! They were a little quick to incorrectly show me as a no show....and I didn't get my OpenTable points. But would definitely recommend the restaurant and I'm sure I would go back, maybe not book via OpenTable lol!
This was our first visit to this restaurant. As it was near to Sadlers Wells we thought we would give it a go!! It was a great success. Great food and drink at a very reasonable price. Nice atmosphere although it did become rather busy, but it was a Friday night.
We will definitely return and recommend.
Cheers Jenny
We were looking for a quiet spot with good food and that is exactly what we found but in addition all of the staff were pleasant and helpful which made the experience even better. The food was also reasonably priced and better than we have had at more expensive restaurants. We highly recommend it.
Lovely restaurant, three of us ate here before we went to the theatre, garlic bread, lasagna, pasta, lovely bottle of red wine, good service, Thank you
Excellent food and good service
The food was hot on arrival and value for money
A charming unpretentious and friendly traditional Italian restaurant.
Very enjoyable meal with friends here. Familar italian menu but everything was nicely done.
Staff were lovely. Prices were very good.
Wild boar ravioli was nice but lacked something. Fresh pasta nduja sausage was again good, but could have done with more chunks of the sausage
Overall would come back!
Delicious food, great service and a cosy restaurant.
Restaurant is very good and service was good. However they completely ignored that we had a table booked, they just asked if it was for 2. If they would have seen the reservation maybe they would see it was my boyfriend’s birthday and could have brought a candle with the dessert
Mangia Bene is not part of a chain. We go there every two to three weeks. It’s not expensive by London standards. The pizzas are very good and we like the sea bass on a bed of spinach. It’s normally full of people who live and work locally and quite a few work groups go there. What else? Well, it’s very clean that’s always a plus. If you are in The Alma pub opposite Mangia Bene the pub allows food to brought in so people get pizzas sent over from M.B. Sometimes on big football nights the restaurant puts the wall tv on.
Found this cosy little place through Google. Food was great and service, excellent. We especially loved the tiramisu and would come back for that alone!
We ate her before going to Sadler’s Wells, very enjoyable lunch, started off with an Aperol Spritz which was nicely mixed, the Mussels as a starter were delicious and the sliced steak very tasty indeed. Good value, nice service and pleasantly busy with people having a nice time.
Everything was good. Both food and service. Would go again if in the Islington area. Small authentic Italian family run restaurant.
