Mandolin uses the highest quality local ingredients to create seasonal menus that resonate with foodies and casual diners, alike. We share our food in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere that replaces the stuffiness of fine-dining with Southern charm. The menu and ambiance reflect the character of Raleigh itself- a blend of rustic and refined, contemporary and traditional, rural and metropolitan. Mandolin, like the City of Oaks, is Southern at its roots, but draws influences from around the world. We love our new home in Hayes Barton, just a stone's throw from Five Points, on the corner of Oberlin and Fairview.

Overall- very welcoming my and cozy. Service was excellent, but found the food to be lacking and unimpressed. Truth be told, because we do not eat pork, the smell of bacon up entering was overwhelming to the point of being nauseating. We ordered the only not pork item on the menu, the omelette, but was unable to finish it.

We tried the chef tasting with paired wine experience and it was amazing! The food was delicious. The six courses were all things I wouldn’t normally pick out from a menu so it was really fun trying something new.

Excellent food as always. Its not the hot newness and I think gets forgotten sometimes in discussions of Raleigh's best restaurants.

Great all around! Wonderful drinks, entrees were excellent. Cornbread is nice, if a little dry. But sourghum butter was a nice addition.

Amazing food and service. We had a party of 9 and everyone left full and happy. Highly recommend the watermelon feta salad, scallops, steak frites and pork collar. The Apothecary cocktail was unbelievable. Will definitely be back.
