Man Wah - Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong
With walls adorned with original paintings on silk, and lacquered enamel and gold-plated ceiling lamps fashioned to resemble birdcages, Man Wah’s design is as celebrated as the menu. Visit for dinner and enjoy your meal against a backdrop of sparkling city lights or stop by at lunchtime for dim sum dishes that are the talk of the city.
The atmosphere is very nice and many female customers due to the beautiful decorations. Ladies must be happy to have a lunch at this restaurant.
Servers are very attentive and polite. They are conversant in English and Mandarin too. When feedback was given about one of their dishes they were quick to bring it to the kitchen to pass along the feedback. They even followed up with a complimentary dessert as way of apology. I was really impressed. There is wonderful ambience and good view too!
First time in Hk and services were good and the quality of dim-sum was amazing. Would recommend to dim-sum lovers.
We dined at Man Wah for Sunday afternoon dim sum. This is one of he finest Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our server spoke perfect English and we trusted him to plan the meal for us. It was excellent in all respects. This is traditional fine dining and does not disappoint. They even carve the Peking duck tableside with white glove service. Outstanding,
We chose lunchtime as we traveled with smart casual attire and we did not feel underdressed. A perfect meal!
Most of their specialties were sold out, waiter suggested we order way too much food. We knew it would be expensive, don’t mind spending a lot on dinner usually, but felt like we got really bad value for $370 usd for 2 people (we had 5 drinks between the two of us). Iberian pork was incredible, very underwhelmed by everything else. cod, urchin pudding, chicken roll,
Excellent service and very attentive wait staff. Interesting dishes and not the normal Chinese dishes. Better for a business meeting than a romantic dinner with a date
One of my favorite restaurants in HK. Nice view, great food and excellent service.
We were given the spectacular window view and had the wonderful opportunity of having the best attendants and suggestions from any restaurant employee.
It was a very special night for us and the folks at Man Wah made it even more so.
The iberican pork was particularly enjoyable, the peking duck was up to the highest standards, even from someone who lives in beijing and frequently travels china.
The restaurant caters to every small detail and remembers it throughout the whole meal, another testsment to an inpeccable service and refinement of proper dining.
The food is great, but the portions are way too small, which makes this restaurant overpriced.
Very attentive service. We had a selection of dim sum plus a couple of noodle dishes, and it was all delicious. Also, we were given the chance to move to another table for dessert, to get a different view of the city, which was unexpected but very nice of the staff to arrange.
Beautiful ambience, intimate setting, magnificent city view, gourmet cuisine, friendly service, very romantic and totally outstanding. We will definitely return to this restaurant!
