We LOVED Mammoth. We brunched there the first time we were in Melbourne. When we came back for three days we brunched there twice. The food is so delicious. So much choice and so good.

We left and did not dine because it was too noisy. Very, very poor acoustics.
Accordingly we did not try the food but the staff were very understanding when we said we did not want to dine there.

The staff were very friendly and helpfull. I had booked on line and recieved a confirmation of my bookibg for a table of 8. But when we arrived no booking could be found. It was no problem for the staff who make it happen finding us a table.
Food was also great

Booked a table a day in advance, was given the tightest smallest table next to the door so we froze during the entire meal as the door was constantly being left open by patrons and staff alike.
Coffee was cold, food was very ordinary and quite bland, service was poor by any stretch of the imagination.
This was our first visit here and I have to say we were very unimpressed. There are many places doing good breakfast/brunch, this is not one of them.

Delicious breakfast ramen. Not your authentic ramen but a yummy twist to the original ramen.

Celebrated Mother's Day at Mammoth Cafe last Sunday with the family and everyone really enjoyed it - especially mum. Service and food was fabulous and we will be back for more soon.

Having been very impressed with Mammoth in the past (last visit approx. 9 months ago), I was hugely disappointed at lunch on Anzac Day.
The staff had attitude and the food was average (nothing special and no better than other average cafes around the city).
Two staff tried to take my unfinished fruit juice, the second succeeding after swirling the straw in the glass and informing me 'there's only froth left' - I didn't realise it was a Fawlty Towers lunch.
All at a top end price, even taking into account the public holiday surcharge.

Whilst this use to be a great local when original owners had it, this one is slowly losing its appeal.
Water glasses were dirty, lipstick residue and residual fruit clinging to glasses, table not ready and staff did not know of reservation and had to look it up when we arrived, then issues with splitting bill and paying part cash, part eft (go figure....?)
To be fair, service was good.
Sadly, disappointing for what was once a great local cafe.

I went there for my birthday brunch with 10 girlfriends on the 4th March 2018. I booked it online with Open Table and I had a fantastic table all ready for me when i arrived. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
Thanks Mammoth Cafe.

I have been to mammoth a few times and it seam like they had changed chefs.

The food was fresh and delightful but it seemed to la k the wow factor like before

Presentation wasn't as great in comparison.

the food was very good but the service was a bit off-consistently got things wrong e.g. one wanted hot water and received cold and I wanted hot milk and received cold.
However, we were able to book and whilst it was very noisy, the round table made up for a lot of that and I would definitely return.
Also very good re variation of meals for vegan etc
