Meal was amazing had the banquet delicious. Fried Mushrooms the 6 of us loved.
Found out it was our 30 anniversary we got a free dessert for all

Had a great meal before going to the BBL , great service , loads of good quality food , staff very knowledgeable on there selection of beers .

Not really much on the menu, considering the premium Location of the venu. Menu item chicken roll sounds like I’m at a primary school canteen.

Food was okay, service was slack. Asked for a side of ketchup and hard to order it and get a table number just to have it like cmon. Great place for drinks and light snacks, potential to be more

Food quality was competent but just another generic place in terms of ambience. If you're in the area, an ok option, but I wouldn't go out of the way to dine there.

We went for dinner but it was so loud. Understand it was New Years Eve

Service was a little hit and miss.
Hubby had the lamb which was delicious but a smallish portion is it didn't come with anything. Some bread or salad would've been nice.
I had the chicken burger and swapped out the chips for the truffle fries. Good decision - burger was small but delicious and the truffle fries were scrumptious.
Pet peeve - didn't accept cash - only cc.

The food was beautiful & delicious but so small - we had to find somewhere else to eat on the way home.

Loved the venue! Great food and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back and will be recommending to others to visit. A great place to have a family Sunday dinner without having to lift a finger to get perfect roast meet and delicious sides. A new favourite for our family.

The food was delicious, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The $55pp feed me was really good value!

OMG the food here was so good that I went up to the chef to say a big thank you. I'm not a huge lamb lover, but my partner ordered it. When it arrived I took a bite and my partner almost had to pry the plate from my hands. It was drizzled with a smokey yogurt sauce which was the perfect accompaniment. I had ordered the 1/2 chicken which was very tender and was also perfect. As sides we had the potatoes that had a slight malt vinegar overtone and sea salt. We also had greens. Together with the beer we consumed, on this sunny evening overlooking the Torrens, we were in beer and food heaven. I told the chef I would write a great review. And here it is. We will be back! I

Great experience at the Malt Shovel Taphouse for my birthday. Good table, friendly service and the food was delicious. Busy atmosphere pre-game for the Adelaide Oval but wasn't too loud, even the live music was at just the right volume to enjoy without being deafening. Pricey but manageable.

Had beef chips- tasty but small serve of 4.
Main was hot roll with chips-nice and tasty.

Awful expresso martini.

Not a huge food selection and I couldn’t find the menu online so didn’t know what to expect! Service was the best I have had and that makes all the difference - cocktails were sooo good!!

Meat was very dry. Kids meals were as large as adults, but not very young child friendly.

nice casual dining experience. Was very quite when we visited so not a lot of ambience. Service was good, food was also good but a little on the pricey side

Food was great and customer service was top notch. We went on a rainy day so not many people, but atmosphere was inviting. Only drama was a lot of the tap beers weren’t available, which is why we decided on a ‘Taphouse’ rather than a cafe. Hopefully after covid restrictions ease they’ll be able to get back to normal.

The Beef Chips were divine. Please don't ever take them off them menu. We also thoroughly enjoyed the tasty lamb roll.

We have always enjoyed the Malt Taphouse every time that we have visited the food, service, ambience and the friendly staff is exceptional the close proximity to the city and the Adelaide Oval we find, for us, a great place to visit

I ordered a chicken burger and was very disappointed it looked and tasted like a cooked chicken that had been bought at a supermarket and then put in a bun with tasteless slaw. Very disappointing. I had the mushrooms as well and they were fabulous.

Attended on a quiet Wednesday night for a family birthday. Wonderfully looked after by the staff and the food was fabulous. Kids had a great time. Would definitely go back again.

I really liked the range of interesting side dishes. Venue is wheelchair-friendly (there are some high tables so let them know what you want when you book)

Was really pleasant - the sides were very generous which I loved, they were also interesting not just chips and salad. We had the rotissaire and all were well fed. I accidently knocked over a glass ( which smashed) and they made no big deal of it. Ill be back
